This game has the best graphics i have ever seen.The trees sway back and forward and the water is very clear and you can see every thing underwater.There are lots more soldiers hat can be made unlike Age of Empires where there are only about 20 soldiers you could choose from,but in this game there is constantly new upgrades to your soldiers and buildings and units.I have the demo and the game looks G*R*E*A*T.I know I am getting it are you...

I was unsure whether to buy this game or not because I have a laptop which is only 1.13ghz and after reading some of the reviews on slow play, I was worried.
After playing a while, I realized my laptop was just fine. In fact, the game moves very fast. The scroll rate is good and the interface allows you to quickly round up your troops and move them around the board. I have to set the gameplay to slow under the options menu, so I can keep up with the AI.
There are learning senarios and campaigns to play. I like the senario editor which allows you to build what ever you want in whatever epoch you want. For example, I will sometimes give one enemy a dozen tanks and give myself 2 A-10's.
There are unlimited senarios you can create, which should make this a game that will last for years.
The giant map is "Giant". You can have 16 computer opponents. You can give them what ever you want or start them in any age. It takes at least a minute for a Gunship helicopter to traverse the giant map.
I think the graphics are good, considering the size of the game (1200 units can be active). You can zoom in on your machine gunner as he wipes out a row of archers.
The computer AI is tough, while you are launchin an amphibious assault against your purple neighbors to the NE, fifty red infantry will storm your village from the south.
There are just too many good things to say about this game. Another feature tells you at the end of the game the time you've played (14h23m10s), the number of mouse clicks you've done (4382) and the number of hotkeys you've pressed (264). Boy, I should get a life... Right now my girlfriend is playing, she added a couple of Cyber warriors to help defeat the WWII computer opponents. Well buy this game, it's great, and I am tight when it comes to buying games. I've been burnt too many times, except with this, AOEII, RCT....
Great idea.

This game is a great concept and plays fairly well. My main objection is that when advancing to new epochs the units look different but play essentially the same way. Still good fun though. Beware the minimum requirements! I have a 450 Mhz PIII and the game is VERY sluggish even on the lowest graphical and audio settings.
Empire Earth - Steals the Empire away from Age of Empires

Empire Earth is just the game to dethrone such heavy weight strategy games such as Age of Empires II and Starcraft. This game resembles Age of Empires II. The difference between the two games can be found in that this game spans the historical battles through 500,000 years whereas Age of Empires II only spans 1,000 years. This game represents historical accuracy from the Battle at Waterloo (Napoleon) and to WWI (Red Baron). There is even a battle at Normandy (You know from Saving Private Ryan... with all those tank blockades on the beach and the pillboxes?) Although this game has only one view (A side view) it is 3D modeled and there is a zooming function. The gameplay is smooth and the graphics are nice. There are so many civilizations that can be built in multiplayer mode (You can choose countries) and also upgrade upon weapons and civilization options utilizing the civilization points. In multiplayer you can even create your very own civilization from scratch and even build playable campaigns (build enough of the scenarios and it can be a new game). First person games tend to be quite short - with four different campaign civilizations to choose from (German, English, Greece, and Russia). There are 10 levels for each campaign. The German campaigns take place from WWI-WWII. The English campaigns take place between 10th Century - 19th Century. The Greece campaigns begin from Stone Age and the Russian campaign begin from the Digital Age of 2010 - 250 years later in the Nano Age.
A player can build heroes for each different era during gameplay. Some of the greater moments in this game is the ability to build aircraft and aircraft carriers (even stealth bombers that carry nukes) and to later upgrade them once you reach a new epoch or era (such as Digital Age to Nano Age). There are too many tanks, mechs, soldiers, fighter and bomber planes, and naval ships to even begin to list them all (They all change when you reach a new
epoch). This game is a must buy for serious strategy PC Gamers (If you are somebody who loves to cheat, there are currently no cheat codes for the single player mode but there are cheats for multiplayer mode). Buy this game if you love the Age of Empires games but are starting to grow tired of playing them.
Gameplay = 8/10
Graphics = 7/10
Sound = 7/10
Value = 7/10
Starts out fun...

... but becomes tedious. I disagree with another poster, it is an age race. You must limit your ending age, because by the time you've created a force strong enough to beat the computer (or any opponent) they upgrade and their one upgraded unit is the equal to ten of your non-upgraded ones.
This is a problem if you don't limit, because a game spanning all the ages can last 10 to 20 hours.
The good news is that if you can survive to nano, nukes and paladin cannons shall set you free.
Fun game if you like strategy!

First of all, I rarely play computer games but I decided to try this one out because of the strategy that is required to win. I have to say that I enjoy it very much. The graphics are great, its very intutitve and you can easily learn playing the game from their game tutorials. One warning, this game is complicated but if your good at organizing, you can conquer anytthing(body) when you play.
The one thing that it lacks (and I hope the new version addresses it) is higher level play (such as governing people, law, etc) and greater world mapping. They should add spies, diplomancy, greater in depth treaties, etc. I envision a game where micro worlds appear on computer servers which have their own countries and alliances like our real world.
Otherwise than that, its a great game and I've been very happy with it. It helps me unwind from a stressful day at the office.
A very long game

This is a great game, the one major drawback is that if you want to do a lot of "ages", then you will have to strap yourself in for hours and hours of play.
In this game, you collect iron, stone, food, gold and lumber. You can build a variety buildings depending on what age you are.
(for example If you are in the nano-tech age, you do not have an ardhery range.)
You can make more different kinds of units than you care to count. Age of Empires is the closest thing I've played to Empire Earth and Empire Earth is so much bigger and more packed in.
There is a show blood option that can enable or disable the presence of blood, for those who think this game is all about gore. This game is about strategy. How to survive the ages.
I recommend this game to anyone who likes Age of Empires.

I followed this game for months before it came out and got it the secound it did. It is trully an awsome game. The AI is very good, it does cheat but that just makes it harder and I like that.
The scope of the game is dizzying. There are 14 epics. 15 if you buy the expansion. Each of these have dozens of units and buildings to choose from. There are barraks, stables, archery, airports, docks, another water one I forget, Mech Factory, and Ultra Mechs. Those are the unit producing buildings alone. This is a true must have.
A must have game 4 1/2 rating
