I Think Empire Earth is The best R.T.S You can buy on the market right now It has Provided me with hours a day of enjoyment the only problem is that the people on line are way to easy. A useual game online last an hour or two mine last 30 mins. So I wish the Ex-pack will come out sooner so I can challange my self to adapt to the new units like Age of Empires:2's EX-pack did
Inumerous hours of fun

Empire Earth is an amazing real time strategy game. Since I bought it in December 2001, I have indulged in it. Its great because you can choose a civilisation and then play accross all or selected historical time periods and there are many opportunties to tailor your gameplay according to your own needs. The 3-D graphics though not fabulous are still nice/ detailed and you can control simultaneously many airborne/ seaborne and land units (which in AOE was not posssible, hence large groups of armies or ships etc). All in all you will get addicted to empire creation and conquest and soon forget about other Real time strategy games, once you start playing EE.
Not as good as Age of Empire

I have stop playing this game for awhile and moved on to something else. You get to have a civilation and you must collect materials such as gold, food, and silver to expand your civilzation. The game is similar Age of Empire which you get to build Great Wonders, military army, farm, and hunt animals for extra food. You get to team up with other allies at the before you start the game, and they do come to help when you getting you butt kick by the your enemy.
Pros=you get to advance to future weapon such as cybers
You don't have to wait you turn on the game I guess that is call real time play
It is fun for awhile and you do get bored, but it is a game you will go back in play.
The game does start with a tutorial game even though it not the greatest.
Cons=The graphic to me are not as good as Age of Empire
It doesn't come with a book manual. I do believe it has a manual on the disk
Sometimes it hard to determine your enemy soldiers from you allies because of the colors.
Once you advance to future tech it is very hard for me to beat the enemy
The game does have scerenios but I perfer playing freestyle after trying to play the first one I gave up just like that. I don't like games where the first couple of scerenios are too hard.
not bad but better age of empire

Developed by one of the originators of Age of Empires, Empire Earth plays like Age of Empires but has imporvements at all levels. If you loved Age of Empires, then you'll love this even more.
The graphics detail is tremendous and the new zoom in feature to see the action up close is novel.
The game starts in prehistoric times and goes through many other "epochs" including two future epochs invented by the game's creators.
This is Age of Empires on steriods!

Overall this is a ok game.it is very hard even on easy.
I have had the game nearly a year and i still have not
betten a scanrio. The normal missions are extremly hard.I would say thay are nearly imposibul. You can eather do missions with the Germans,Russins, greek,or the english. On a game like this you really need to do training.I would say get a diffrent game like Age Of empires Age of the Kings.Empire Earth is always the same. The enimy always and i mean always lunch a ,what i like to call,Counter attack.thats when after about 45 min. thay send a lot of troops to your base.It is also so hard to distroy them because thay sometimes will build 4 rows of walls to keep you out of their city.Thay also build their base way to far apart.thay build like 6 of every building covering top to bottom.Thay also love to go bilistic with air plans and boats. Here is a hint if you do buy this game, Always build deffence first that includes guard towers and a huge army.Another thing i hate about this game is you can only build like 300 units and that is not near enough.and you can not control over 50 units at a time.
Too Difficult to Be Enjoyable

Perhaps I'm just not enough of "hard core" gamer, but I foudn this game too difficult to be enjoyable. While I enjoyed building and advancing my civilization, there's just no way to avoid doing battle and play a simply economic game. So, about the time I get a wonder built or a couple started the AI kicks in and stomps the bejeezus out of me. I've had the game for a year - even bought the strategy guide - and I've yet to play complete a scenario succesfully, and this is while playing on the easiest setting. Perhaps I'm more used to simulation/city-building games than RTS games, but it seems to me that for the game to be enjoyable the average use ought to have at least a reasonable chance at success.
Technically, graphically, it's a great game. No complaints there, but the level of difficulty makes me unlikely to want to continue playing.
