Demo wasn't very fun to play

Let me preface this by saying I'm a die hard AOE/AOK player...I wish/hope Ensemble Studios will put out the follow up to AOK, perhaps title it Age of Revolution to span up until the 20th century. This Age of Mythology they are working on looks like a lot of nonsense! Back to Empire Earth...I was initially attracted to the idea of being able to play the whole span of Human development from the start to the present in one game. I figured I should play the demo to see what the game is all about. Boy, was I dissapointed. The graphics are not as smooth as AOK and in fact, it looks a lot like a AOK wannabe, but without the fun. I've watched my husband play Starcraft enough to recognize some of those elements in there as well, so perhaps the developers thought they could mesh the two together to get something greater. It just does not feel right to me. The demos are scripted, no leeway to have you put the villies to work to see what their capabilities are or to work with the tech tree. The demo involving the 2 WW1 German pilots was a rip off, I thought I was going to be able to fly the planes, the 'scenario starts' when the plane has crashed!

The EE demo was not convincing enough for me to buy the game (when released) and fool around with...they have less than one month to release and I can't see how they are going to make any major changes from the demo. So in the meantime, I'll stick with my AOK the Conquerors version, thanks very much.

Too many bugs - Can't even get the game to start

Do not bother buying this game. The system requirements listed above are incorrect. I have bought the game, cannot run it (even though I meet the minimum system requirements) and I encountered rude answers on the Sierra (the manufacturer's) website. It seems from the comments on the Sierra website that many people are having major problems with this game. Wait 'till the bugs are worked out, unless you like paying [price] to be a beta tester.

Empire Earth is, in my opinion, mearly ok. Enemy AI is good (on my first try I was defeted in a half an hour by the computer set on medeum). The graphics aren't very good, most shots are just an arrow flying, a puff of smoke, a missle or progectile, or a continus beem, and most units are to light. There are no such thing as "special units" that are unique to each goverment. After 50 hours of playing it gets really borning. The campanes are ok put your view keeps getting stuck at what your soldiers would see and ,I can tell you, that is no place to fight a war. The game is big and my computer kept freezing. Consequently, it took 20 minutes to start playing.
Dispite it's shortfalls, Empire Earth has soma cool fetures. You can make your units more powerful by spending resorces improving theis cericteristics (such as range, armor, and speed)

This game is the best game that Sierra has ever came out with. I would highly recommend it!

The game won't run for more than 30 minutes with three of the four modern PCs I've installed it on. The game was released long before it was ready for public consumption.

What a game!

This is one of the best. Most of us don't even have to play it to see that it is going to be great. I am more of an RPG player but this game just blows me away. There is no way you could resist playing this game after you've played it once. [...]

Earth Empire looks like a very good game from preveiws. Has everythig from guys throwing stones to huge mechs and everything is customizable! You can build your own cities to! But they're some bugs still in it and might not make the Sept. release date. But thats just rumor. Over all it looks like one of the best RTS that has ever come out.

Really fun for Everyone (man that was corny)

I'm not really an RTS guy, in fact I stink at them. I have only beaten the computer on my own on easy twice to put it in perspective. I still like the game. Why? 2 words: cheat codes. I also like the variety the game offers, but the AI is ridiculously difficult, even on easy. All in all a fun game b/c of the codes though.

P.S. while i'm a noob at RTS, i'm pretty good at FPS games ;)

If you like strategy games, you'll love this one.

Strategy games don't get old easily as long as it is classic. We have seen from Age of the Empires. They have values. The endless missions, the awesome graphics, and the okay sounds. Endless units are in this game, from cavemen to cyber machines in the 22th century. This game is all you are going to look for in a strategy game. This game is simply huge! And that's what's so enjoyable about it.

This game is more than 5 years old but I still play it a lot. The games against computers are quite long but still very easy so that's why I started to play multiplayer. When u master this game, it's awesome. It's not complicated, units are killed by other type of units so its really challenging to micro.
Should buy it and play online cause it's gonna die soon =/
