At first I didn't know if this game was going to be good. I played Halo 2 and I did not enjoy it too well. I have an Xbox 360 and it being such an elite system, I expected the graphics to be legendary. They are. I went to my friend's house who just got the game and was amazed. There are a lot of places to play, and the 4-Wheelers and Ghosts are improved. I helped the same friend hook up live and we tried it out. It was incredible. We joined a team of 5 people and were agains 5 other people who we didn't even know. He got in a four wheeler and I jumped onto the turret where we got 25 kills. The weapons are also exciting. You might think that there are guns where you just shoot. No. You can use energy swords along with hammers as with the granade launcher and dsome big missle guns and machine guns. Some guns you would expect to see in a human's actual hands, and some are alianized. I now HAVE to have the game and I and getting the wireless network adaptor for Chrismas. I can't wait. Whoever rated this game lower than 5 is not right.

Not that different from Halo 2 Live...

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RYRWY9957V2S The standard gameplay finishes the storyline begun in Halo 1 and continued in Halo 2 in about 10 hours. Replayability is based mainly in xbox live. There isn't that much difference from Halo 2 except for additional weapons and vehicles. The graphics are nice, but so were the original ones. Reecommended for Halo fans.

It's good, but it's a small incremental improvement over Halo 2. The graphics look almost the same as Halo 2. I expected better graphics and a feeling similar to the first time I played Halo 1 where I couldn't stop saying WOW! So overall, I'm a little disappointed. Regardless, it's a good game, and I think most people will enjoy it after the slow start.

it is simply halo or as they say the mighty halo mybe the best game ever with great story and an even better online mode you dont need to think to get this one just buy it. thanx

For all those reviews that mark Halo 3 with poor scores, they are disappointed because of unrealistic expectations. Halo 3 delivers. If you are a fan of 1 and 2, you'll be pleased with 3. The story is solid. The experience is solid. Graphics. Control. Challenge. But if you are expecting GOW, rent don't buy. Also, maybe I'm missing something, but LIVE is weak here.

Halo 3 is the final chapter in the Halo Trilogy and the first Halo title on the Xbox360. First let me say that the campaign is very short - only 5-7 hours. Personally, I felt like this was way too short and they really should have made it atleast 12 hours. One positive regarding the campaign is Co-op. Up to 4 players can play, online or offline, which is pretty cool.
But no one plays Halo for the campaign, it's all about the multiplayer. Here I can honestly say Halo delivers. I was never a huge Halo fan but I've had alot of fun playing online against my real life friends who live far away. The headset is great to use and is great for strategy. Halo 3 also provides a ton of game modes that really add some flavor to the typical team deathmatch and deathmatch.

Overall I really enjoy Halo 3 and if you are looking for a great multiplatyer, pick it up.

Arguably one of the best FPS games around.

Saying Halo 3 is awsome is a massive understatment. To support this statment i will rate some of the games qualities;

Campaign-4/5: The game offers all the alien shooting goodness as all the others had with much smarter AI than the previous enstalments of the series and a whole new arsenal of weapons. The story had a more cinematic and linear feel also. My only complaint is that there could have been more missions because Bungie studios had 3 years to make the game they could at least add 2 or 3 more missions.

Multiplayer-5/5: To those of you who are FPS or Halo fans that are considering buying this game... BUY IT! This has to have some of the best multiplayer gameplay around on any game, there is nothing else to it. In multiplayer if you either want to just go online and start killing other players in a mad rush or if you want to work as a team and capture the other teams flag this is the game for you.

Music-4/5: The music sounds much better then the previous games(because this time they used a 60 piece orchestra instead of MIDI sounds). The only problem was that the majority of the music was re-orchistrated music from Halo 1 and 2(not that the music was bad or anything).

So overall Halo 3 is a game worth getting for anyone who owns a Xbox 360 and likes playing FPS games.

P.S. To all of you Halo 1 fanboys, stop complaining how Halo 2 and 3 were such let downs, post it on a forum if you don't like it.Halo 3

first off, i'd like to say that i never played halo or halo 2 before, so i am not one of those halo supernerds. Still, this is the best game i've ever played. i just don't get why people complain about how tough the enemies are. try thinking about this, YOU SUCK!!! i liked the game alot, but i think that it isn't going to be as good as some stuff that bungie will put out in the future. even though i gave it 5 stars, i still am wondering why people were saying it was going to be perfect. ya i like the game, but still, i've played better. this is all coming from a "dumb jock" gamer, and i still had no huge trouble with any of the levels. the best thing about the game is it's AMAZING AI. if a game doesn't have good AI, i wouldn't play it. i felt like the ending of the game really set it up for HALO 4.

Overall, I love the game. The multiplayer is simply amazing. The single player is pretty fun overall, and the coop options make it great, but played alone, its only decent, especially when compared against Half-Life 2.
