Jedi Power Battles in my opinion is mainly a very good remake of STAR WARS THE PHANTOM MENACE and it has turned out very well as a half fighting game and half action/adventure game. The controls are very confusing but after a while you will get used to them. Your player learns new combos depending on how many points you get. The one fallback is oyu cant save at exact positions in the game and palying with 2 players is harder then one. The good thing is 1 memory card block holds 3 save files I have rated this game 4 stars baecause even with some of its disadvantages its fun and a worthy challenge.

This game is great and it allows you to move freely while in battle. I say the graphics are not very good though the movie scenes are the best I've seen on Lucas Arts. I have other games by this company and they rate just about the same. While others have said the difficulty ranges are not far appart they only take a hour on the max to learn all of the moves.
Jedi rocks!

I have played this game and despite what everyone else says I think it's great. The only problem is the movement and really long levels. The graphics are better than you think. The battle droids look very real and the people are very good considering that they did not use actors and cg over them. The action keeps you on your toes as well as being glued to the game. It is very challenging. If you compare the movie game to this game you will find that this one has much better graphics. This game is excellent and if you do not agree that is your problem. May the force be with you!
Not dull at all

This game is worth buying. I have not finished it, but so far I love it. Graphics are not the greatest, but the controls are pretty easy to get used to. It also has the Vibration thingie on it, if you like that. you can play alone or side by side with another player. I say give it a try.
Not perfect, but definitely not a coaster

This is a game that has it's pros and cons. On the plus side, it's Star Wars. That by itself lets the game stand up and be noticed. And there's definitely something to be said for running around with a lightsaber hacking and slashing at anything that moves. You even get points for destroying computers and protocol droids! I must say that the graphics were a little on the down-side. I've come to expect that sort of thing from the LucasArts/PSX combo. Perhaps I'm also jaded by my Dreamcast. The control also takes a little getting used to. It took me a while to figure out how to effectively use the Force powers right in the middle of ten battle droids, all shooting at you. Once you figure everything out, though, the game becomes much more enjoyable. It's no Syphon-Filter, but any Star Wars fan (like myself) will defintely want to add this one to their collection. All-around, a good buy.
A Very Good Game

This game (especially for a Star Wars Fan)is a good game. Sure The graphics arent the geatest but all around its very fun. This game, like most, has its ups and downs. One of Its ups is definetely the Combat. Its not too hard but not too easy. Another up is the Multiplayer mode. Its one of the best multi player modes ive ever seen. And here are the ever-present downs of the game. The Lock-on mode is a good idea but it should be automatic, not manual. Another is that some of the jumps in the game are VERY VERY hard and VERY VERY frustrating. It also takes a lot of time and patience to master the controls. Overall i'd say this a must get, especially for Star Wars fans.
The best star wars game to date!

By far, this has been the best Star Wars adaptation to a video game yet (With Masters of Tera-Kasai a close second). Each character has great lightsaber attacks and pretty cool force powers as well. The only way this game could get any cooler is if they make a sequel to it with the original Star Wars characters. The bottom line: any game that lets you unlock and then play as Darth Maul is freakin' awesome!
simply awesome

The graphics are top-notch, the fighting is incredible, and this is one of the best games I have ever played, on any system. It may be the best game, with the possible exception of Phantom Menace, ever to come from LucasArts. If you like Star Wars, this will not disappoint you.

This Game I would have to say is okay. I rented this game and I expected better. This game is for someone who wants a real challenge and truly be a jedi. I myself like a little more variety. If you like a game that follows the movie Star Wars Episode I then I would not waste my time on this game although it has cool graphics.
A step up from TPM, but not much.

I couldnt wait for JPB. And I wasnt disapointed with it. I love playing as other Jedi and having a more complex lightsaber system than in TPM (swing, swing, swing, swing, swing, swing, swing, swing, etc, etc, etc). I loved the smarter and greatly varied driods. I love the that you get to fly a STAP and drive a ATT. I love that it is more difficult than TPM. But you really cant compare this game with TPM. They are way too different. But they have the same academic problems. Such as camera angle. The side view is frustrating at times, there are a lot of "leaps of faith" because of it (especially in the swamps of Naboo). I also think there should have been SAVE points throughout the levels instead of checkpoints. No, not the "save anywhere" feature of TPM, something like in Tomb Raider. Extra Lives are too scarce and levels are too difficult when you first play to just have checkpoints. I hate when I get to the boss of a level and get game over. That is really irratating and often cuases me to turn of the machine and play something else. All in all, this is a good title which should be RENTED first, (as should all games) before you buy it. It is certainly not a game for everyone, but if it is your kind of game, I'm sure you'll like it.
