This game is a lot of fun, but you will need a very good system to run it. The enemy AI is very good; the weapons sound and look great, and the missions are fun. I have not played multiplayer yet. The graphics are excellent. The enemy character models are very realistic...big buff black dudes with machine guns...really cool game.

Black Hawk Down is in between fair and good, so i cant lable it with a single word. It sure has its problems but overall its a good SINGLE player game. The missions are alot more interseting and harder than the previous Delta Force games and the maps are also aot more fun to play on. But the one thing that brings this game to shame is its multi player games. Even if you have a cable modem or DSL you will still run into problems during the games. For example, your in the middle of a game and all of a sudden your back to the log in menu. Your pings start to go bad after a while. Novalogic needs to fix this problem if it wants to go any further with its multi-player video gaming because I'm sure not satisfied with Black Hawk Downs multi player game. SO A WARNING - DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU WANT TO PLAY IT ON THE INTERNET USING THE MULTI-PLAYER MODE IT IS NO GOOD!

Some reviewers have been bashing the game for its "exploitation" of the incidents during Operation Restore/Continue Hope in Somalia. Gents, you're more than entitled to your opinion, as bass-ackward as it may be. Facts are, THE GAME IS AWESOME ALL AROUND (graphics/audio/replay value) and... a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the game are being donated by Novalogic to the education fund for children of Special Ops soldiers who died in service to their country. As far as how many soldiers past and present will be offended, that's their right, too... Can't please everyone all the time. I'm not trying to sell it to them, if they want to buy it, they will, I have a job I'm very happy with.
For all others considering this game, if you want a challenging 1st-person shooter with great graphics and sound, definitely try this one out, you won't be disappointed...

this game to me is the best multiplayer combat ive played to date period!the singal player is fun to play only thing i found abit flawed is the a.i. but if they had made any smarter the game would be imposible to beat.i replayed this game twice now the multiplayer has taken over my life!!!!if you like combat online BUY THIS GAME!!!

I think this game is great. I've read lots of reviews on it and most people if not all just talk about single player. Novalogic bases almost all of their games on online play. If you guys can post on here, you can play online even though 56k is terribly laggy online. The game play online is great. The maps couldn't be more perfect for the feel and strategy of this game. They have many different types of games and alot of stat servers. You can't say this game blows unless you try it on the net becuase thats where nova puts all their hard work into.

SWEET ONLINE PLAY ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE SEEN YET.

Delta Force Black Hawk Down

A few months ago I bought a copy of the game Delta Force for one dollar at the local grocery store. I was very happy with my purchase and so I ordered Black Hawk Down for $5 off of Amazon. I expected to have problems since the game was released in 2005. I tried to load Doom 3 and other games and they won't play correctly on my computer. Too slow. This one played fine and I even upgraded all of the graphics settings to thier highest points without it causing any problem on my computer. The graphics are great compared to the ones in Delta Force which I thought were good considering when the game was released. I haven't tried to play this online so I don't know if there are any issues there. I become bored with most videos games but this one was fun all the way through.

I played medal of Honor and those who played that will like this. The graphics are awesome and so are the missions. The weapons selection is really good. If you want modern close quarter combat- here it is. Riding in the black hawk and little birds is so real-especially when shooting from the black hawk in the first mission.This is a really cool game and will run really nicly on a newer computer (1-2 yrs old) By all means buy it- this is what an action game is supposed to be. Plus you play the Irene mission at the end-talk about INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!

VERY FUN GAME.

This game is a lot of fun.The single player mode isn't the greatest thing in the world but the multiplayer mode is really great.It's a game that when you start playing time just flies! Good game.
