Great Graphics, seamless movie/game integration

I bought this game the day it was released and have loved every minute of playing it. I enjoyed "The Two Towers," but "Return of the King" is a far superior game. I really like that is has checkpoints. I hated that in TT you would get almost to the end of a level and then have to re-do it all when your character kicked the bucket, so this is a nice addition. I also like that you follow the path of each contingent of the Fellowship on its journey towards the destruction of the One Ring. The transitions from the movie clips to the game graphics is much more seamless than other games and does not leave you wishing they would just keep running clips. I have not had a chance to try the Co-op mode yet, but that is something that was really missing from the TT.

Another feature of the game I like is that it is not as linear as the TT. While you are basically going to the same place at the end of the level, you have different paths on each level to get you there. Some of them have more XP power ups, or more enemies to dispatch to get more XP, but you do not have to go the one path like in TT.

The voice acting is great. Like TT, they used the actual actors from the movie to do the voice acting and it adds so much to the game. the original score from the movie is also the music in the game, so of course it is great.

This game is a good purchase. Even though it seems like it is short, I think it has lots of replay value with unlockable charcters and each character having unique abilities. If you are a real fan of the books and movies, you will enjoy playing ROTK.

When I first got this game I thought it was going to be only one player. Then I played it and I found out otherwise. In CO-OP me and my brother teamed up, He was Aragorn and I was Legolas. We liked the game so much we beat it in a day. this game is 10,000,000 times better than the Two Towers. I think this is the best EA games has produced yet. If you're an LOTR fan this is the right game for you. ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL, ONE RING TO FIND THEM, ONE RING TO BRING THEM ALL, AND IN THE DARNESS BIND THEM.THIS GAME IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, this game was hard! my dad and I took a while to finish it. I like that you can buy different weapons. This is probably the most channelganing Xbox game we have.I like it and I think anyone should get it. It really follows up the movie. And as a girl, this is not too hard to play if you have someone with you!

Don't listen to "a 12 year old gamer". The hobbits are the best part. If you had enough skill to get past Shelob's Lair, the next two levels are fun. The black gate is the funnest level, although I was disappointed in the Nazgul. About 2 minutes and they were done like dinner. My character of choice is Faramir, although if you don't have the cheat, it takes a while to get him.P.S. my Sam is at level 10.

This game was better than the Two towers one becouse you can play as mor charictors like Frodo and Gandalf. Persanoly I did not like the return of the king movie but this game was very fun.
Their is not alot of footage from the Reaturn of the king movie movie. A nice adation to the lord of the rings games. Any one who liked the movies should like the games. This game has nine charictors(thats including the secret ones)to play wich is vry cool. Any one should like this game, Its great!!!!!!

THIS GAME IS THE BEST EVER! I'VE PLAYED IT AND BEAT IT! THE CHARACTERS YOU CAN BE ARE ARAGORN, LEGOLAS, GIMLI, SAM, AND FRODO. THERE ARE ALSO THREE SECRET CHARACTERS THAT YOU CAN UNLOCK, WHICH ARE MERRY, PIPPIN, AND FARAMIR. IF YOU WANT LOTS OF ACTION, THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU! DEFINITLY BUY THIS GAME!

If you thought the Two Towers was a great game, wait until you see what Electronic Arts has done with The Return of the King. Along with the best graphics of its kind, this game's levels are much improved from the second one. One problem in the Two Towers was that the game itself took only about a month to beat. In The Return of the King, the levels are longer and more difficult. This will lead to you being able to play it for a long time without getting bored.
In The Return of the King, same as Two Towers, you can also see footage from the Two Towers and The Return of the King films. All in all, this game is definately worth buying.

This is a really REALLY good reason you should get the game on PS2 XBOX GAMECUBE never get them on PC cause hacks allways comes up trust me i know cause my my mate got the game and he kept getting tech difficultys untill he got it on GAMECUBE anyway gollum is a hard character cause you can,t hurt him with phys speed firce with firce and phys you can sort of knock him to the edge but becarefull because he defends himself almost all the time so ill give you a few pointers...

You play the level as frodo (naturally because it was him and gollum who had the brawl in the film) all the other hobbit levels is sam incase your new to the game but if you get to crack of doom then have 2 only damageing attacks against the little freak physicall and firce i got the game on PS2 myself so i don,t know how you do(or did)it but anyway here are the hints gollum does differnet poses witch tell you when he will attack and defend and leave himself open...gollum will open his mouth wide and go ahhhhh!!! and his head will raise slightly this could mean 2 things he could either batter you over witch you can never ever defend against (unless you get out of the way)and his septuple strike witch is when he hits you 2 times stops to defend and hits you again 2 times if you can avoid pain long enough you can push him against the wall he will lose his stand hit him more a few times and he falls only hanging on with his hands press kill move imidiately cause he will get up if you leave him to long to knock him either use physicall or firce and eventually he will lose his stand (witch i said earlier) belive it or not but i haven,t evven done it myself but i know what he does.

This game is going to be soooooo kool! I've played the Two Towers
and this game is supposed to be so much better than that one!
There are eight characters to play as, including, the greatest, Gandalf the White/Gray. This will be a great game and I will be sure to buy it from Toysrus!!
