Lock and load.....and save the universe!

This game, if you are a fan of Gundam, rocks. It rocks hard. However, those of you who only know Gundam via Gundam Wing might not enjoy this game, as this game is based off the original Gundam series. (NOTE: Toonami will be showing the original series later this month, so you can familiarize yourself with the old school action) The game is set up with a 3rd person viewpoint (behind the gundam) as you use your analog sticks to move your mobile suit on the battlefield and aim at incoming targets. The Graphics in this game are good. They are not fantastic, but they do get the job done and look better than any previous gundam game. One place where this game shines is the effects department, all the sound effects from the television series have been retained, beam cannons blast with a great shower of sparks, and when a mech is destroyed the screen explodes into a blur of fire.... great stuff. Control, however, is an issue. Movement is chunky and somewhat slow and takes some getting used to -yet it feels kinda right. I really don't expect a huge chunk of metal carrying tons of ammo and weapons to move with great speed anyway. There are a great deal of missions to complete and replay value is high, as new mechs are unlocked for you to play with (including the use of enemy Zaku's!) as well as animated cinema's to view. Overall a very good Gundam game, and a must buy for any Gundam fan!

If youre a Gundam wing fan and dont want to do any thing even related to the older series this game well make you change. The grphics are really good I'd say millon times better then Mech warrior2. The controls arent bad but have there disapiontments. For instance the thursters are x while a better place is L2 or L1 . I myself have only played it twice and I want to again . In the game you pilot the original Gundam but dont think youre alone there are guntanks and others to help you out so give this 0079 based game achance and youll see for youre self how fun it is

It dosent have the best graphics but it makes up for that with scenes from the popular TV series and great gameplay- be the Federation or lead the Zakus as the Zeons.

This will be fun IF you can configure the controls!

I played this at Gundam Invasion Tour when it came to San Diego. It's a good game, much along the same lines as Armored Core 2 for the PS2. To say that the graphics are a million times better than Mechwarrior II though, is a bit of an exageration. MWII had anti-aliasing (if you had the hardware), and this game doesn't, at least the demo that I played didn't... maybe the final will. Also, if you can't configure the controls, then I may be VERY disappointed with the game... The way the controls were set up is:

Digital pad controlled forward/backward and rotate left/right. Right Analog controlled head movement Left Analog did nothing as far as I could tell. L1 R1 were strafe left and right R2 and the X O square and triangle did different attacks one of the regular buttons was for thrusters (jump jets)

there is also a lock on button but I can't remember what it was. I just really hope that they let you customize your controls.

The Ultimate Gundam Challenge

This is one for the books it is (also my title) the ultimate gundam challenge. Your probobly saying its just anoher stupid old gundam game, well I have news for you... its not! This one has better graphics than any other gundam game, has great gameplay (lead the Federation,GOODGUYS or lead the Zakus,BADGUYS) and has scenes from the TV show (coming soon to TOONAMI) as you progress through the game. Overall I give it five stars.

Actually I have never played the game but from what have seen this game is as high quality as the intro Videos to Armored Core 2! This game even includes secens from the origional series! Fortuately it's not a cheap 2-D game or just a constant one-on-one game. The battle scenes are even better than the game! And Char's Zaku II looks even more ominous then ever!

I have got one word for you, if you are a gundam Fan thinking of buying this game. " [AMAZING] ". This game is great its much longer then Sidestory 0079, for D-cast. And the Mobile suit designs are stupendous. The Backgrounds are a little weaker then Side story. And you dont get to use the awesome power of a Feddie GM mobile suit. But you do get to fight Char in his Patented pink Zaku II. I could go on for hours about this game. I loved Gundam Sidestory for Dreamcast I play it all the time. This one is a MUST even if you dont know what a mobile suit even is.

I've only seen the screen shots..

I have only seen screen shots, but the hype over this game is tremndous. I first noticed it a few weeks ago on my friends computer and realized it was only in Japan. I felt distressed and wanted to know when it comes avaiable here. I look on Amazon and I find it almost right away....

I say this game is the best one i've played better then the other games i've played.Ihave already played the jpapenise version and i think this game is great.
