This game has almost everything a gundam fan could want in a game. The show follows the story well, it tends to be very corny but it is better than some I have seen. The music if okay, it is kind of weird in the end, it sounds like a Japanese rapper. As for game play the controls are very well thought out. Most keys are used in some form or another. The graphics and not that great but I am used to gamecube graphics so it is hard to compare the two. This game has lots of aerial ground and jumping combos with the beam sword (which is the most fun if you have time to get good with it.) There are several disadvantages to this game that i would like to point out. First is that the gundams take far to long to die which is not real compared to the show. Second is the fact that they start you out way to quick, the game gets hard to quick. Also once you do get good the game is to easy so then it goes very quick, particularly because it only has 12 levels. The good things are the exhalent game play, which lets for good Sword fighting! Also after your beat the game you can play in tactics mode where you can win new suits and get go up in the ranks, they could have made more levels to play tactics on but it's not so bad. All in all this game provides an good but short gaming experience.
Oh Yeah!!! Best Gundam game ever!!!

This game is awesome! It has all the levels from the storyline of movies 1 and 2 (from the series but the clip timeline are on the movie line. Trust me. I saw all 3 movies). Anyway, you start at Side 7 when you have to destroy the invading Zakus, all the way to the final battle with Char's forces in Jaburo. It's a must see for any Gundam fan. It's got the real voices from the show too. Trust me. As a Gundam expert, pick this game up. It's worth it.
P.S.: Tactis Battle is also great!!!

Starting off with the positives, it is a very nice graphical game. Very nice cutaway movie scenes in story mode, which provide something of a history/detail for those not familiar with Gundam. In game graphics are very nice. Not the absolute best, but very nicely done. Sound effects are pretty good too. Explosions look read, weapon firing is nice, and collapsing buildings during combat look pretty good.
However, the controls of the game are absolutely HORRIBLE. The potential of it being a great game goes out the window with this very bad control set up. Very difficult to control the Gundam suit in the more advanced levels, where control is needed. The "targeting" option was a total waste to include, for it targets where the enemy used to be (after they move the instant you fire) rather then following.
Lousy controls make the game almost unplayable. The excellent graphics were wasted because of this. The game goes back on the shelf to collect dust.
Coolest PS2 game yet

This is the coolest PS2 game so far. The Gundams are awesome. The controls are a little bit chunky, but you get used to it. The action is so cool. When you defeat a gundam it blows up and the screen is covered with fire! It's so cool. I recomened this game to anyone who is an action game fan.
