This is the best game I own. I purchased this game looking for a good action game, and I picked the right game.
On this game, you start out with the Story Mode, this mode is 9 levels long, but very difficult.
Once you have beaten this, Tactics Battle Mode is open for use. This mode is awesome. Even though there are only three levels, you can play as either side. The levels consist of attacking or protecting your base, fighting in a city, and attacking or protecting a GAW Carrier. The more levels you beat with different Mobile Suits, the more Mobile Suits you win. For the Zeon Forces there are about 15 different guys, and with the Federation there are about 10 different guys. Each guy has different weapons, so you can use the one that fits your style.
That's not it, once you have won all of these you can view them in your gallery. In the gallery you can get a 360 degree view of it with specifications and information.
Also in the gallery you can see previews of all the Gundam movies and you can listen to all the background music used in the game.
Those who say the speed is slow are wrong. The loading and playing speeds are fine. Those who say the graphics are bad are also wrong. The graphics are remarkable, and the clips from the show make you feel like you are living the real thing.
This is one of the best games out there and is worth the price. Remember, the money you spend on this is keeping America's economy rolling!!

I don't get why everyone thinks Gundam is a waste of time? I think Amored Core is stupid but every one likes it because its all fast action, one shot kill, and you get money.Did I mention easy. But everyone hates Gundam because of its challenging controls. If the controls are to hard then why don't you just play better the next time you play. Theres also nothing wrong with the graphics. I don't know why people think that graphics are all that importent.Gundam is a great show and the game is a great replica. All I have to say is that you should stop complaining about this generation of gaming.
This is a 100% awesome game!

This is a teen game, and i'm [younger]. But I still play it. If you watch mobile suit gundam, you will love it if you only watch gundam wing, you will hate it.Easy as that.In this game you change the storylines because you are the one piloting the gundam(even Amuro's brain!)You play the missions from the show. Each one is based on a mission on the show. For example, the on Garma's fate mission you have to blow up the ship he is in like on the show. That"s all I have today!
100% awsome

I have got one word for you, if you are a gundam Fan thinking of buying this game. " [AMAZING] ". This game is great its much longer then Sidestory 0079, for D-cast. And the Mobile suit designs are stupendous. The Backgrounds are a little weaker then Side story. And you dont get to use the awesome power of a Feddie GM mobile suit. But you do get to fight Char in his Patented pink Zaku II. I could go on for hours about this game. I loved Gundam Sidestory for Dreamcast I play it all the time. This one is a MUST even if you dont know what a mobile suit even is.

I've been a fan of Gundam Wing but know that Mobile Suit Gundam has come out on Cartoonetwork thats all I've been watching. So of course once the game came out I had to get it. Once I started playing I just got hooked on to it. This game is so awsome from gameplay to the nice graphics. It's a must buy for those looking for a Gundam game. Only downside is that it takes time to get use to the controls but once you master them you'll be on your way to passing the game. Overall I think this is the best Gundam game I've played out of all the early gundam games.
buy it

Man, whats with these people? Nobody has this game right!! You don't have to be a die hard Gundam fan to loooove this game! I'm not! First off, some one said you have to shoot with the R3 button (anolge stick), yaaa right! You actually shoot with the square button, and only use the R3 when you are looking up in the sky, shooting those nasty little Zeon planes, and even them you don't have to use it! Second, you use the R1/L1 to shift left/right. Triangle, switch between weapons, sword, gun. X, is your thruster. And circle is your guard, sweet little thing, got to many mobile suits to handle? Just guard and block their attacks!! The directional pad moves the whole mobile suit. Double tap the forward on the directional pad, and it trusts you forward faster than you can run! Do the same in all directions! That's it! This game rocks!! Not to mention the tactics battle mode you unlock when you beat the game! You can even play as a Zeon mobile suit in these short missions! You unlock Zeon and Federation mobile suits right from the TV shows! Awsome!! This is one of the best games for the PS2!! I'm not the only one that thinks so!!

I am a big fan of all of the Gundam shows (except Gundam Wing) and i have been waiting for a long time for a good gundam game to come out and its finally here. I was a slight bit dissapointed in some categories of the game, but overall I was fairly pleased. Before I got the game I figured that anyone who was not familiar with the shows would be hopelessly confused after a few minutes of play considering the depth of the plot, but I was proven wrong. The game is loaded with cut scenes explaing the plot, and a non-gundam-fan friend of mine was quickly drawn in and is now obsessed with everything in the gundam universe. To make this review a little shorter I'll do pros and cons
Pros:
It has good graphics and is totally loyal to the series.
"Gallery Mode" lets you view all of the many cut scenes, listen to the game music, and look at Mobile suit statistics with narration and 3-D models
Lots of weaponry choices
Tactics battle mode(open when you complete the main part of the game) lets you fight on both sides of the war, and allows you to earn massive ammounts of bonus mobile suits to blow things up with.
Practically unlimited amunition...
Very nice explosions
Cons:
Sometimes frustratingly slow controls. I often feel like I have aged 20 years when I have succesfully completed a proper beam sword attack(though once you master them they are very rewarding and you can really kick some but) Also it takes a long time to turn around, other than that, reading the manual properly and little practice and anyone complaining of bad button mapping will reallize it was designed more for advanced play.
It is to short. Only nine missions, but the tactics battle mode will keep you happy for a few weeks as you can get some very cool mobile suits there.
Lack of difficulty setting. Once you master the beam sword controls and the few hidden moves that come with it, you will dominate the battle field. But don't worry to much about that, it will take you a while to master it.
Mix of music, voices, and battle mayhem make it quite hard to understand any of the three. Sometimes it is best to just turn off the music.
Not very good replay value. Once you beat everything in the game and have all of the cut scenes and cinematics unlocked,(which took me about 4 months due to the fact that the tactics battle mode gets old prettey fast and i seldom played) you will really only want to play it for about a week every 4 months.
Despite the Cons which seem numerable, the game is quite entertaining and will keep most people who do not dislike giant battle robots happy for a while. If you don't like it, you can always sell it. Later
