If your a gundam wing fan youmight consider even after I say this. It's not like a mecha game like armored core. It has REAL BAD CONTROLS REALLY AWKWARD ONES! Nothing like armored core. Amuro is a little cry baby. you have to be him. Atleast they should make it that you could be the gun tank or something. Also it's just a hit and slash game. The only way you would consider to buy this game is if you want to see the movie clips. once you beat a mission their clips. OTHERWISE IT"S THE WORST GAME ON EARTH! IN amazon it's rated good makes you think it's good. But listen to this try other sites you know and get reviews. They will be real low ratings. Try... for this game it talks how... it is. I didn't listen to it and wasted a good 50 dollars! If you don't listen to me atleast rent it before you lose all your money! Because of the controls it's really hard to beat the game. You won't beat the game. You'll get sick and tired of it first.

This game was pretty good.

As previously stated this game isn't so great if you're not a fan of the show. I was only sort of into the show and I enjoy robot games so I rented it and liked it. The conrols do take getting used to but they do work out. As for targeting enemies, you have to devise different attack stategies for each enemy and hit them when they stop moving to shoot at you. Unlike other people I think the only thing this game really lacks is length, only 9 levels and 3 tactics levels. I think this game is at least worth renting.

IT BURNS! IT BURNS!

When I got this game, I was so overjoyed that it wasn't even funny. I put the game into the PS2, and was practically drooling because of the opening scene. When I finally started playing, I thought 'Beam Saber... cool...'. Then, five minutes later, my head hurt because the game was so bad. Even still, I played through the game, got all the secrets, did everything with every MS, and I still hated the game deeply. Sure, it's slightly fun, but not fun enough to make up for all its weaknesses.

First of all, as the camera is in third-person view, it's difficult to see what is directly in front of your suit, especially in the larger MSs. Secondly, The controls are pathetic. The only way to aim and fire without locking-on is to click in the right stick, but the action of pushing the stick in throws of your aim. The aerial targets are practically impossible to hit, as they move too fast for the lock-on or the aiming function to hit, which is really annoying in things like Level 3, where practically all the enemies are flying. The friendly AI is too stupid to be of any use, the Gundam Hammer (the spike ball) is absolutly useless, there's no reload function, which is very annoying when you're going into battle with 1 shot in the gun, and you don't want to lose your already low accuracy rating, so you have to wait mid-fight as the gun auto-reloads.

After beating the nine levels of the regular game, which I did the day I got the game, you open up six new 'Tactics' battles. Well, three actually, as the ones for the Zeon and the Federation are the exact same, just for opposite sides. You can unlock a huge number of suits, except every single one is useless.

I can not honestly recommend this to anyone. Please, if you want to keep your sanity, avoid this game at all costs.

Controls Really, Really, ...

When I first got this game i thought it would be great, well it turned out i would be wrong. I popped it in my PS2 and started Playing it and i was totally dissapointed! To fire you have to ress R3(the right analog stick). It is like an arcade game to me and i hate arcade games! I was hoping you could be like any Gundam you wanted, WRONG! I turned the game back in and got my money back and decided to by Zeonic Front and that is pretty good so far. If i was you and was hooked on Mobile Suit Gundam i would just get Zeonic Front, although you may be the bad team on Zeonic FRont it rocks! Out of a 1-10 i would give it a seven!

Another sad Gundam game

Well, this sure was something I expected. Most games based on Gundam [are usually bad], and this is no exception. It is one horrible game. Graphics are horrible, but the worst is the control. I diden't think controls for mechs got too much worse then Armored Core. This is worse. The only honourble mention is the sound, which is very true to gundam. But this game is very true to gundam games; ...

This game I rented first but I wish I bought it!! The thing that's hard is that your sheild can break. There's this base that the Zeon are trying to destroy and you have to protect it. This means 0 fooling around or you have to start the mission over again!:-( The last level level 9 (Tragedy in Jaburo)stumped me. Char's such a wimp! He keeps on gettin' others to fight you!(that's lame!LOL)This one Mobile suit (called a Zock) has this super-strong Particle-Cannon that gets you hard. Your probably thinking ,"Just run away lame-brain!" The thing is that there's not much space.I think the trick is to side-run to the left(L-1.)I always went right(R-1.) That mobile suit kept on hittin' me :-( ! I had to return it so I coudn't finish. I also had to start from the begining every time I played I had to start all over again because I didn't have a PS2 8MB memory card...For people who don't trust me, rent it first like I did and you might like it,too :-).

Not as good as it looks.

I rented this game and found it to be ok, at first, but then after few minutes of playing it became borring, frustrating, and repetitive. The graphics did not enpress me that much either. I'm not really a Gundam fan, though I have seen a few episodes and they were pretty cool, but the only reason most people like this game is because they are hard core Gundam fans and will buy anything with a Gundam label on it.

Good Mecha, bad game

Since PS2 came out on the market, I have played pretty much every game for PS2. Some were good, some were bad, and some were TERRIBLE!!!. I have been a fan of Gundam since i was little and i was so excited that Bandai was making a game with the original Gundam story!!! I bought this game as soon as it came out and played for a couple hours. However, i was very disappointed and ended up not playing it anymore. here are the reasons...

1. Terrible control...

2. Short, VERY short. it mostly plays video clips and you don't get to play the actual game much.

3. Terrible voice acting....

4. PS1 level of graphic....
