Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories

Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories is an awesome Yu-Gi-Oh! title involding a special game play different from that of Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, a role-playing adventure game, you play a young Egyptian pharaoh. The setting takes place ancient Egypt, and your mission is to solve the mysteries of the Shadow Game and the seven magical totems! You can walk around the different areas of the Egyptian capital, and talk to townspeople, friends (Jounouchi/Joey, and Anzu/Tea look-alikes), snotty enemies (a priest that's a Kaiba look-alike), solve clues and challenge players to duels to gather information about the impending doom about to reach his kingdom.

Check out YugiohDungeon.com for more information on this and other games!

I know a good game when I see one!
If you are a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan, then this is a must-have! it's too bad that this isn't like a "Zelda" game where you get to walk around, and the only animations are the actual duels (sort of like Pokemon Stadium, but 100 times better). Not to mention that some of the monsters' powers have been erased (example: you don't get a card back if the magician of faith is attacked). But if you overlook these little things, you'll find that this is an awesome game. But it's the actual story lines that got me glued to the game.

You start playing the game as an Egyptian prince who likes to run away and play Duel Monsters with his friends. Inside the prince's castle is hidden the Millenium Puzzle. Everything is well until the palace is attacked by this guy, "Heishin" who wants the puzzle. The prince is forced to shatter the puzzle, but "something" happens to him as a result. Play the game to find out what I mean. Then, you end up playing Yugi.

The actual card game is really hard! It's like chess. You have to think of strategies and weaknesses. I got so hooked, that I stayed up until midnight for three nights in a row playing.

Here's something that'll catch your attention:
-You get to find out who Yami Yugi really is!
-Yugi and Yami Yugi come face-to-face for the first time!
-Pegasus is entering Kaiba's competition. ^_^

I highly recomend this game. I really don't believe in stuff like "this is a boy show".(I happen to be a girl).
In conclusion, I would like to say this: "WATCH OUT, POKEMON!!!, YU-GI-OH!'s HERE!"

Forbidden Memories simulates the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game with some modified rules. Weak cards can be fused without using fusion magic cards and equipment cards do not occupy slots in the magic row of the playfield. On the downside, some monsters' special abilities are eliminated.
Navigating all the menus to customize your deck is a pain. The video game designers expect you to buy the real-life cards to get the passwords to access more cards. You're better off getting these passwords off gamefaqs.com. That site has a lot of the fusion combos listed too which will save you a lot of time and frustration.
The campaign mode is frustrating too. If you save your game early at certain points, you lose the opportunity to face some other opponents and are instead thrust into much tougher matches.
Once you beat a campaign duelist, you can play them in free duel mode to earn more cards and starpoints used to buy other cards with the aforementioned passwords. But you only get one new card per match and just 1-5 starpoints. Weak cards cost 10-15 stars but decent monster cards cost 40-60 and most good magic cards cost 55 or 80. Really good magic cards cost 800 points and rare cards costs are simply listed as "99999".
Fighting weak opponents ad nauseum to earn more cards becomes very tedious. You're better off starting a new game on a separate memory card and trading the better cards from that starter deck onto your original memory card. You can trade and play against other human players too but then, you might as well just play the actual card game.
Forbidden Memories follows the theme of the cartoon pretty well. The cover art is a little decieving. The story doesn't just take place in ancient Egypt, it bounces back and forth between that era and the modern day characters seen on the show.
If you're not already a Yu-Gi-Oh fan, this game might seem like a confusing, boring mess but true fans should get a charge out of it as I have.

AWESOME GAME FOR YU-GI-OH FANS!

YU-GI-OH FORBIDDEN MEMORIES is a great game: its easy enough for kids but challenging to everyone. This game explains the source of the Millenium Items and why Yugi transforms when he's about to duel.

It starts out in ancient Egypt, where as a young prince, you are learning to play Duel Monsters. You start out with a random deck, but as you beat your opponents you get Star Chips and new cards. By winning constantly, you'll become the World Champion of Duel Monsters and you'll help save the world from the evil wizard Heishin.

The game is a bit different from the Card Game, but it is easy to learn. You can also use the number at the bottom of your YU-GI-OH carss to unlock your favorites. If you want the Blue Eyes White Dragon, the code is <<89631139>>. YOU NEED A LOT OF STAR CHIPS, THOUGH. The graphics are ok, but the fun is excellent. You will learn how to combine your weak cards to make stronger cards!

This game is cool for learning how to play Duel Monsters, and it lets you practice, so you can be better than the kids at school. You will learn how many attack points the different cards have, and will become as good as Yugimoto.

passwords to buy new cards and starchips

Yo YU-GI-OH!Fans I just got the game yesterday.I played the game the whole day because the game was exciting. When the game starts it tells you a story about the leader of the mages Heishin(Seto's father) stealing the one millenium item at the Pharoahs castle. Then you start to play, but before that. The Pharoah's Duel Master tells the Pharoah to not run away and play Duel Monsters again. But you have to pick beetween this two answers (run or stay and listen)After you choose one you have to duel with Teana(Tea' look alike)and some towspeople. Then if you want to earn more starchips you have to go to the card shop.If you want to buy a card you have to have passwords from the official trading card game.I will tell you Blue Eyes White Dragon's password, the password is 89631139.Enter the password and press X then press exchange. But if you don't have anough starchips you may press free duel so you will get more starchips to buy a card.I hope this information is helpfull to you!

Alrite ive had the game for about a month now and let me say the game still rocks. This game is a must buy. I have barely put it down. This game is EXTREMELY challenging later on in the game. If u have gotten to the high mages you no what im talkin about. A major flaw to this game is that the good cards in the game cost 9999999 star chips which would mean u battle about 40000 times in free duel mode which would take years. If u have a gameshark i suggest you use it because i doubt u will ever get the cards u want with out it. A bright side to the game though is fusions which is when u combine cards to make more powerful ones. The best fusion is the dragon scroll,a plant beast, and a lightning beast. This will make the twin head thunder dragon which is one of the most powerful cards in the game. If u want a challenging game but is fun at the same time buy Yu-Gi-Oh! you wont regret it.

Hello Yu-Gi-Oh fans. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of my favorite shows. But the game is even better. Let me tell you what it's like. Yu-Gi-Oh is a strategy game just like in the show. Thats what I like about the game. You have to figure out your opponents weaknesses and figure out how to beat them. Certain duel fiels give advantages to certain monster types like in the show. You can also fuse two compatable monsters together to make a new stronger monster just like the in the show. You can also fuse powerups to compatable monsters to make them more powerful. Each time you get a field power bonus it raises the Atk. and Dfs. by 500. Most powerups raise the Atk. and Dfs. by 300 or 500. In the game game you duel people that are in the show. Joey, Tea, Bakura, the Maxamillion Pegasus, yes and even Kaiba. You start the game with 40 duel cards and 0 starchips. As you beat other duelist you get 1 new card each time you win. And depending on how you dueled you will eather get 1starchip 2,3,4,or 5. You get starchips to help you buy new cards in the password menu. Of course you need the password for the card you want. I have 888 starchips so far. I gave this a 4 out of 5 because I dislike one thing in this game. All the good cards like Blue Eyes White Dragon, Exodia, Red Eyes Black Dragon, and Dark Magician all cost 999999 starchips. Thats a lot of starchips. Once you play Yu-Gi-Oh you'll get hooked on it and play for hours. Well thanks for reading my review on this awesome game.
