i bought this game a few weeks ago, and the first time i played it, i was a little bummed because some of the that i learned and had gotten used to weren't even in the game. So if you have gotten used to all the official game rules and can't seem to play wthout them this isn't a game for you. So i kept on playing, and i found out that you have to find out the fusions of your deck, because it dosen't tell you what fuses with what, so there's another bummer. Also, when you get all the way up to Pegasus, he's pretty much impossible to beat because he has cards with atks of 4000, and alone your cards can only go up to about 1500. But don't let that stop you from buying it, because it's a really great game, you get to go to ancient egypt, battle friends and foe, such as Joey, Tea, and Kaiba, to name a few. Plus, you can watch all your dueling action in a simulated 3D battle arena. Then after a victory you collect star chips and use them to buy cards in the password mode(you also need to know the 8 digit code printed on the bottom left hand corner of the monster card you want, and if you don't have the password of the card you want i'm sure it's on the internet somewhere). It's really addicting and keeps you comin' back for more. A great game if you ask me.
GOOD!!!

The ... thing about this game is that you have to pay star chips to get the cards. I mean, how the heck are you supposed to get 999999 starchips????!!!! But the rest is great! Here's some advice: If you get a POW A RANK dueling Meadow mage in free duel you might get some ultra rare cards. I got Gaia the Fierce Knight, Skull Knight, Braccio-Radious, Judge Man,(2) Dark Magician (2) Curse of Dragon!!!!!!! This rarely happens, but I got a POW A RANK in canpaign mode against High Mage Martis (desert high mage) and he gave me Zoa(ATK 2600 DEF 1900)!!!!!!
I once got Mechanicalchaser(ATK 1850 DEF 800) after dueling Mai in the canpaign mode, so you might want to try that out. I once got Trap Hole from Pegasus in free duel. Here's another thing for dueling the ocean/mountain low and high mage: Any thunder type + Any dragon type with over 1500 ATK (It can't be equal to 1500 or 1550. It has to be 1600 or more) = Twin headed thunder dragon. Than use Equip Magig-Dragon Treasure + the field power bonus, the dragon's ATK will be 3800!!!!!! And when you are dueling Ocean Mage/High Mage and you make your dragon select PLUTO guardian star. Their decks are filled with neptune cards. After you do all the steps (including raising the Dragon's ATK with Dragon Treasure) and you attack the neptune monster, your dragon's ATK wil raise respectively to 4300!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I Hope this review was helpful, thanks for readin'!!!
A VERY FUN AND STRATEGIC GAME!!

Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories is the best game that I've ever played! You must be thinking at all times when you are dueling against someone. There a lot of stupid mistakes that you can make while dueling. Like if you put a magic card or trap card down for when you are in a tight spot and you might totally forget about it.
The graphics of this game are great! 100 times better than Pokemon Stadium. Unlike in Pokemon Stadium the warriors actually cross the dueling arena, but only on physical attacks. The 3D arena can only be used if you select square when you attack.
Save as much as possible. If you lose one duel the game is over and you have to start again wherever you last saved.
There is nothing in the game booklet about which monsters fuse with which. You have to find out on your own. Which is half the fun! I recommend that you go to the "free duel" mode and duel with "Duel Master K". You can duel him even if you haven't beaten anybody else. He has all of the same cards you do. This is a good way to learn all of the different fusions in your deck. He knows all of them, and you might want to write them down, there are a lot of them. You need to know your cards by name or at least remember what they look like. It doesn't tell you which cards he fuses together. They fuse fast so you have to look fast and write down the combos.
Some people say that you need a gameshark, but you really don't if you know all of your combos and you know what you are doing. I'm all the way past Pegesus.
You start the game in Egypt where you are Yugi's ansester. You have to duel Tea and Joey's look alikes. Then you duel Seto. Kiaba's look alike. Then you try to duel Heishin. You'll probably lose because you don't have very many strong cards. Then you wake up as the present day Yugi. You duel Weevil, Mia, Bandit Keith, Shadi, Yami Bakura, then Pegesus. That is how far I am.
The first night I got the game I was up until three in the morning playing it. Lukily we didn't have school the next day.
I would recommend this game to anyone that is looking for a very fun, but challenging game!
Tough to say.....

Graphics-1
Gameplay-3
Fun Factor-(Depends on your patience and willing to learn the fusions) for me, 4-5.
Ok, I've had the game for about 3 months now. I played it a lot at first, since it was tough learning what cards fuse to make other, more powerful monsters. Normally (unless the computer is feeling generous, which isn't often), u have to win about 20-50 duels against a single person, sometimes more, before they give a rare card. It took me 241 wins against the 3rd Seto before he gave me a Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
I'm still playing it to try and get all the cards. I have a Gameshark, but only use it for the cards that I fused, but u can't get through using the starchips. The last few characters are a pain until u get cards that are powerful enough to take them on, even then, u need a little luck. I got some strategies off some websites to help me out, since it's a lot to remember all the fusions they have in the game.
If u r expecting the game to be something close to the actual card game, u will be extremely disappointed. The card game has a lot of extra things to remember, that have no bearing in this game whatsoever.
The graphics could've been a lot better too, it's not worth watching the "3-D" monsters in battle cause of the time it takes, and the way it looks.
If u haven't played the card game before, there's probably a better chance of u liking the game better than if u did play the card game first. It's a simplified version.
It seems like I'm not painting a good picture of it, but, this is what I got out of the game. The good points are the cards, buying the cards can get expensive, so, it's an easy way to play the game w/o having to buy the cards. Also u don't have to look for other players to play. I love the challenge of beating the computer, cause if u play a computer opponent, u know how tough the computer can be. If u r in for a challenge, this game will definitely give u that.
To finish, I enjoyed this game very much, with all it's negative points, I still give it a 2.75 rating (can't put that for stars, so 3). The challenge is what it's all about, if everything was so easy, why play right? =) Unfortunately, it's almost everything else that brings this game down. I'm hoping and expecting the PS2 version to be a lot better.
Yugioh iz so Kool

Yugioh iz so kool because it's so much fun, and it's a very addicting game! Herre R some good codes :
Millennium Shield : 32012841 / This card cost 200 starchips! This card iz good because it's defense iz 3000! A Blue Eyes White Dragon CAN'T even defeat the Millennium Shield!
Jirai Gumo : 94773007 / This card iz only 80 starchips! It's a good card to start with because it's attack iz 2200! That's not bad for a monster with 2200 attack points. Usually monsters with that much attack points cost at least about 550 star chips!
If u know how 2 use ritual cardz, then herre R some codez :
Black Luster Ritual : 55761792 / Cost : 100 starchips
Revival of Sennen : 16206366 / Cost : 100 starchips
Curse of Tri-Horned Dragon Dragon : 79699070 / Cost : 50 starchips
Revived Serpent Night : 39411600 / Cost : 50 starchips
Cosmo Queen's Prayer : 04561679 / Cost : 50 starchips [To use this, u must offer the "Queen of Autumn Leaves" and 2 other monsters. If u don't know what the Queen of Autumn Leaves' password iz, it's 04179849. By using the Cosmo Queen's Prayer, u can create a very strong monster called the "Cosmo Queen" with attack of 2900, and defense of 2450!
Anyway, if u ever fight tha Meadow Mage [The first one] he might give u good cardz, for example, I won Gaia the Fierce Knight, 2 Curse of Dragons, and other good cardz from him! Anyway, if u enter either Gaia the Fierce Knight's code, or Curse of Dragon's code, it will cost 999999 starchips, so if u ever want 2 get Gaia the Fierce Knight, Curse of Dragon, or any other good cardz, fight tha Meadow Mage!
Herre R some good fusions :
Any dragon + Any electric monster might = Thunder Dragon, or Twin Headed Thunder Dragon. If it equals Thunder Dragon, then add another dragon for it to equal Twin Headed Thunder Dragon
Examples :
Baby Dragon + Electric Snake = Thunder Dragon + Baby Dragon = Twin Headed Thunder Dragon
Dragon Zombie + The Immortal of Thunder = Twin Headed Thunder Dragon
----------
Herre iz a different fusion :
Red Eyes Black Dragon + Meteor Dragon = Meteor B. Dragon : Attack iz 3500, and defense iz 2000.
I might have more kool stuff later on, but this iz fine 4 now.
I am addicted.

Yu Gi Oh the show was all new to me. I didn't even know there was a card game which spawn the series untill I saw the game out and read some reviews on it. My little brother was the one who got me to watch the series and I thought it was pretty good. I'm all into the RPG/Strategy games. I played Digimon Card Battle and loved it, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to rent Yu Gi Oh and see if it was as good as some of the reviews said it was. Well after the first day of playing I was hooked. I went out the next day and bought it. I play any chance I get. In the morning before work, after work, even late at night. The game poses a good challenge as to how to out smart your computer opponents. All the opponents can not be beat with brute strength, you have to really think about how to play your cards' defensive abilities in the early part of the game. I haven't finished the game yet but I look for to it. It's been quite a struggle getting cards that are really effective in battle but I'm getting the hang of it. I think I am still wet behind the ears when it comes to playing the game but it's a fairly easy system to understand. Just have patience and you'll be as addicted to this game or maybe even more than me. Go rent Yu Gi Oh Forbidden Memories and you'll end up buying it just like I did. Hope my comments were helpful. Good Luck
