Ok im not a big yu gi oh fan....
aiight i am and i was extremely happy when i heard the game was coming for Playstation. I bought it as soon as possible. The graphics for the game are average compared to ps2 but for ps one they arent that bad. The only flaw of the game is that cards cost way too many stars and your oppnents usually have better ones. Right now i have Exodia, and 3 blue eyes white dragons. Some of the battles commands get confusing. Even if you havent seen the show you will stil like it. I guarentee it. If you buy one RPG this year make it be Yu-Gi-Oh!. Trust me on it you will love it......

its hard to get the hang of at first but once u do u wanna finish. u have 2 buy a memory card but its all rite.u start off in egypt which i hated but u do go to the present time. u see all the people on the show, like joey (my fave). u need all these passwords and they expect u 2 buy all the cards, but i just bought a magazine. the people start out easy but get so hard. i got far but i cant beat kaiba 2nd o well. the cards dont have special abilities like on the show so thats a drag. u can use fusion but its hard 2 get the hang of but i got it down. yus wont wanna stop 1ce u start. ...

This is definately an addicting game. At first I wasn't too sure how to play, but the net is full of sites that are willing to help out and give hints and codes. In no time me and my friend are constantly dueling! Get the Black Land Fire Dragon and Millennium Shield cards. This game rocks! It is the coolist! Well worth the money. And use your save cards to copy as many of the cards you like and send to your game. You'll need at least three save cards to really trade cards and keep using your saved star chips to buy more cards. BUY IT!!!!!

This game is the best of its kind. It is really great to help you learn to play the card game. It has been a wonderful game for me because I often don't have the time to get together with someone to play card games but I can just kick back and play as little or as long as I want--no hassles. I could hardly wait for this game to arrive when I ordered it. I had gotten my anticipation up to an incredible level but the game lived up to my expectations and then some. There are tons of free cheats out there on the net for this one...you can't use the codes with out a certain number of the star chips though. Free duel is the best part to me. Don't give up on this game too quickly because it does take a little while to learn.

I'm a really big Yugioh fan as you can tell. I bought this game and at first it had all the things I wanted. Graphics, sound, card variety were all good. But as I got farther into the game, I found some setbacks. Monsters, if you want to get them by password, require starchips. If you need starchips, you can get some by using the FREE DUEL mode. FREE DUEL is when you can duel people you beat. You need a lot of patience! Some cards cost 999,999 starchips and you can get 5 starchips maximum after a duel. And some enemies have monsters up to 4000 atack points. But don't think this game is all bad. I forgot to mention that after a duel(if you win), you get a card. There's even a tournament you could enter. So if you're a Yugioh! fan and you have a lot of patience, this is the game for you. (I don't have a lot of patience so I gave this 3.5 stars)

This game is really fun. I first played it at my friends house and now i'm hooked. There are just 2 problems in this game 1. Is that you need about a million star chips just to load in one really good card(like Blue Eyes White Dragon). and 2. This high mage guy has all the best cards in the game(like Cosmo Queen,Black Skull Dragon,and Wall Shadow) and you have to lose to him in order to keep going in the game. I think his name is Heishin...Or something like that. Also, my friend got the Right Arm of Exodia after he beat Rex Raptor in the campain mode. But it's really rare that you'd get that card after beating him.
This is a great game and I would recomend it to anyone who loves Yu-Gi-Oh. 5 Star chips.

Now what kicked me when I first played this was that you started with a rubbish deck. Now, that was quite obvious with all 500 - 700 atks and only a few spells and no trap cards. But, look closer and you can fuse together most monsters. No need for Polymerisation - just press up on the controller to put a tag on your cards and press X to fuse them together to create a beast of even more power! I managed to create Thousand Dragon by fusing Time Wizard with any dragon! Later on however the duels get very tough! I JUST managed to beat Ishizu in the semi-final round for god's sake!` And now Im on Kaiba and he's really hard!
Plus he knows about the Millenium Rod and says "it whispers to me". Not very accurate game! In this game, there is NO tribute summons. This means if you get a Dark Magician card you could summon it right away! Thats why Im stuck! Kaiba summons Blue-Eyes straight to the field and smashes me to bits! Although the game is hard, it is addictive and fun sometimes and the cards you win are quite awarding! I'd say if you saw this in the shops you should buy it!

Although i'm not one to watch the show, i did find this game to be quite enjoyable. For me there are only a few problems with the game.
First of all, the graphics hold back what could be in my opinion the best game out for playstation 1.
Secondly, although dueling is stimulating, i often find myself confused. Certain things combine to create powerful beings while others just get bumped off the screen.(Just my luck that the more powerful one is often the one given the boot.)
If not for these problems this game would get 5 stars from me, but what do I know, i'm just a bum.

I thought that the game was alright. The graphics were really good for a playstation game and there were a variety of cards. The main problem was that I don't know how you are supposed to beat the game with such horrible cards. The most powerful card you can get in the begining is only like 1200. then you don't really win anything good in the duels. Other that that, the 2D pictures of the charactors and the fact that they don't talk aren't going to make this game any better. Finally, the game is pretty good. The campaign mode is really short and is impossible to beat without gameshark. Overall I give this game 3 stars.
