Dance Dance Revolution rocks

Dance Dance Revolution, released by Konami, is the best game I have ever seen come to the Playstation. You can get fun and a workout all in one package. There's characters to select, ranging from the hip hop dancers to ravers at a futuristic nightclub. The songs are pretty amazing too, with a wide selection that includes pop, techno, latin, dance, and hip hop tunes. For beginners, there's a stage that shows you how to groove and move to the beat. At first, it may seem hard. Yes, even I tripped once and pressed the wrong button. The dance pad can make a difference on your fun meter. For workout mode, you can select how many calories you wish to burn and the program gives you songs and how many calories you burned on the bottom of the screen. If you're wishing for a fun time without being called a lazy bum, buy Dance Dance Revolution.

This game rules sooooo much! It is so fun! And so funny! Friends go nuts when they come over and play. It's like karaoke for the feet :) . What a wonderful idea. I first saw the arcade game on a travel channel show about Tokyo, and I thought, "I can't wait for that to come to the US!" Then I saw it at an anime convention and I immediately ran to ebay and bought a playstation. It is just as fun as it looks! Maybe more! This was the best [money] I ever spent.

Much More Than a "Video Game"

This is such a groundbreaking, revolutionary... FUN game that the term "video game" almost doesn't seem to fit it!!! This game transcends all demographic barriers to create a fun, lively experience for the whole family!!!

Final Word: BUY this game, if you never buy another video game again!

THIS IS THE TIGHTEST GAME ON EARTH!!!!! The best I've ever seen since Vurtural Roller Coasters! Bad thing is, you lose weight over it. Don't get me wrong, it is an awesome game, but I'm a 10-year-old that weighs 67.5 pounds! Now I'm wating for the Disney Mix...

Fun, but only until you realize...

...just how few good songs there on in this release.
Do yourself a favor and pick up an imported copy of 3rd, 4th, extra, or 5th mix, as the song selection, layout, and steps are far better. 4th mix and onward also have some other fun things, such as 6-arrow solo mode and the Challenges, along with the wonderful ability to edit steps.
In conclusion, an imported copy is much more worth your money than this release. Konami's dance pad isn't bad, though.

Dance Dance Revolution combines great music, a great workout, and hours and hours of fun! I absolutely recommended purcahsing this game. I got it early, and everyone in my family is playing it! Even my grandparents! Loads of fun! The only negative I see in purchasing this game is maybe you'll not get to play it as much because everyone else in your family will be playing it. Plus all your friends will be over playing it too! Definitely recommend getting the mats as well though.

From time to time a new game is exposed to the home systems that is so awesome that I am forced to buy it. Dance Dance Revolution has to be one of these games. when i first played this game in the arcade I was a little skeptic of its fun factor, but when I tried it I was hooked. I currently own 3 imported versions and 2 hard pads for my playstation. this game has great songs too! you can also practice at home then show-off to your friends in the arcade. you wont make a mistake purchasing this game.

Once again, Konami has created one of the best games not only for the arcade, but for a home-console. This game has had me feeding dollar after dollar in the machine at the arcade and really putting a gash in my wallet. But thanks to AMAZON.COM's low price on DDR, i have been able to play it at home for less than the arcade. This game has also been helpful in getting a good aerobic workout. One downside to this home version is its memory capacity. It doesnt have all of the songs i had hoped. That's why i gave it 4 stars.

Great dance games come with bad dance controler.

This game is great for fun and exercise. The only flaw is the dance pad which you can buy for it. It slides around unless you duct tape it to the floor. This is very irritating and makes it worth it to plunker down extra cash on a hard mat.
