In the first RCT, I was impressed with the interface, the basic gameplay, and how the game proceeded. The game was ready to be huge- but it just had one more element. That element? Depth. Loopy Landscapes adds TONS more themes, which are fun to implement into rides or "Lands". There are tons more rides, over 50 more scenarios, and lots of shops and stalls. In fact, this is one of the highlights of Loopy Landscapes. The first game had a very limited number of shops and food stands (stalls). Now you can add anything from a sushi bar to a lemonade stand. The themes were great too; I especially loved the snow theme. That's right- you can turn your park into a winter wonderland. Overall, this is a MUST HAVE for ANY RCT OWNER.
Happy rrrrrrrriiiidddding!
I don't need to play this one...

I have RCT, and RCT:CF (RCT= Roller coaster tycoon). This one is gonna be the same thing as add on number one (Corkscrew Follies) meaning you will need RCT, but for this one you'll also need CF for it to work.
Well Loopy Landscapes should have more themes for your park, a new roller coaster or two and you'll be able to do more stuff with the ground. The example I got was the fact you'll have cliffs now. I got this info from an interview with Chris Sawyer himself from the web page RCT UK (I think, anyway...).
I Hope there will be more music and theme s to go with the music (Like they had a Chinese song for your ride but no Chinese music =( ) But like I said it should have many more themes and make your park a lot prettier. It's gonna be a smart buy if you are a big fan or RCT.

This is the best game on earth-- where you can really feel like an architect, and you really get the feeling you are running a buisness, from advertising to ride breakdowns. Now, this goes to all Roller Coaster Tycoon Games (the original, Corkscrew Follies, Loopy Landscapes), and if you purchase this you'll experience one of the best games on earth.
A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE!

What could anyone want more than to design a twisting, plummeting, vomit-inducing roller coaster? In Roller Coaster Tycoon, you get to do just that, and much more. In this game, you are the newly appointed manager of a theme park (emphesis on "theme"). With dozens of different park scenarios to choose from, there is a park for every mood, so to say. Keep guests happy by having an even balance of gentle, thrilling, and intense rides. Build rides of all different nausea, excitement, and intensity levels. Be sure to check what your guests are thinking, to keep your park up to shape. Don't forget food, drink, and restrooms, and of course, handypeople to clean up after some of your sicker guests, security guards, to help stop vandils, entertainers to amuse people in long lines (for things such as Go Karts and coasters), and mechanics, to inspect and fix rides. This game overlooks very little in the world of park design. Each park scenario has a set goal, to be accomplished within a specific time period. Achieve your goal, and a new scenario will open up for use. This is as close as anyone has come to a perfect game. Chris Sawyer is a total genius when it comes to occupying the minds of people of ALL ages. I am an avid Mac user, and even though this game is not available for Macs, I bought a copy of it and play it on my family's Windows computer. This is a must have for any strategic, but creative thinker. It is also ideal for a roller coaster enthusiast. However, before you purchase this item, be sure to buy the original before purchasing this expansion, which includes more scenarios, colors, rides, food and drink stalls, etc...

Roller Coaster Tycoon: Loopy Landscapes is not an option: you have to have it. The game includes four real parks, so you can test what it's like to have a real park. The scenarios are great. On the first five scenarios, you can have a park that you don't pay for anything, a huge lake, a volcano with unfinished roller coasters, a park with large mountains, and a park where the land is an iceburg. The new roller coasters are also great. My favorite new coaster, the Water Coaster, allows you to build the roller coaster in water. The pack includes Corkscrew Follies, so you can add banners, change colors all over the ride, and the like. Two of the best new features are common pricing (if you were to give an item for free, and selected this option, every other item like it is the same price) and the fact that you can now change the scenary at the station platform. If you have Roller Coaster Tycoon, this is a must-have.
Would have been five stars but . . .

Being a big fan of this game, I already have the Corkscrew Follies expansion pack. I do kind of resent in a sense having to buy it again in order to get the new stuff. Why couldn't this be just a single Loopy Landscape expansion pack priced a little bit cheaper rather than this "double" expansion pack?
More addictiveness!

Rollercoaster Tycoon itself was addictive, now think about how addicting it is with an expansion pack filled with loads of new features! More high-tech coasters have been added and lots of smaller stuff! Recommended for anyone!
Fun, Addictive... a few flaws.

This review is for the whole RCT set, including the original game.
My family loves this game, it is truly deserving of its "E" rating, since my school-age daughter, and both adults in the family have a ball with it. Scenarios range from easy through impossible (and the expansion pack scenarios are not necessarily harder than those in the original set.) While only the first person to win a scenario gets his name 'on the board', scenarios can be played, and won or lost, over and over again.
However, the game does have a few flaws.
1. Sometimes, no matter how many times you turn the screen, you can't get a good angle to see what you are building. (Especially a problem as the park gets more crowded with rides and pathways.)
2. We joke in our family that the people in this world are wimps. The game allows you to build elaborate coasters with steep drops, tight turns, loops, twists and more. But, in our experience, any coaster much more complex than a simple circle with a few gentle drops gets rated 'ultra-extreme' with a 'ultra'high' nausea rating -- and nobody will ride it.
3. As a related issue, you can't stop the clock while designing and testing coasters. If you are building a complex coaster, months can tick by as you design your coaster, try to make the coaster fit the landscape (or alter the landscape to fit the coaster), test it, then make any necessary changes. In real life, of course, the planning would happen in the designer's office, and the actual construction would happen fairly quickly.
Still a favorite game in our house.
YAY!

New rides, new food, new...everything. This is an excellent bargain add-on to the orriginal Rollercoaster Tycoon. This comes with even more parks, even more rides, and it brings even more hours of fun. If you loved the first Rollercoaster Tycoon, you'll love this. Here's why.
First, there's new stuff!!! You can do cool things like make banners, which prevents guests from entering some areas. But the high points are the new, awesome rides, parks, and food stalls. THis comes with cool new rollercoasters to build, tons of new parks, and other stuff. For example, this expansion pack has DOUBLE the amount of parks the first game had. You can experience new, challenging scenarios to beat in new areas and such.
Second, there's so much more gameplay! The first game came with endless hours of gameplay, and now...MORE endless hours! Yippie! Now you get to design even more theme parks, with new stuff! You know you want to buy it.
Third, the price is incredibly low right now. This is a great bargain, so my reccomendation is to buy it.
