GET THIS EXPANSION PACK!

I own all 3 of the RCT games and the are all great. Being an avid coaster fan these games were a must! When I bought Loopy Landscapes and started playing it, i was amazed. There are so many options and cool features. For example there are at least 5 new coasters including my favorite 1, the flying coaster (I.E Stealth, X-Flight) . There are many new shops like Chicken Hut, Coffee Shop, etc. TONs of new levels, like Arid Hights, the coolest level ever. There is no money so it lets you go free and buy whatever u want! You can completly transform the park without having to worry about money (some of the coasters are really expensive). Also, there is a section entitled "Real Parks" which features 3 real parks: Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and Heide Park. The Alton Towers version is awsome!! There are at least 70 rides there!! It's a spectatular version of the park. Corkscrew Follies is also a great Expansion, but if you are looking for real fun this is the one to buy. If you look at the features in this game and then look at the price, its amazing how low it is! I once spent hours just playing this game. *Warning* One feature that is not good (this is true with all the RCT games) the coasters can blow up (the brakes tend to fail). That is the only downside of this game (once it explodes you have to start completly over which is a bummer, especially if you made the ride yourself). Some of the many coasters added on include: Flying Coaster, Water Coaster, Air Launched Vertical Coaster (AWSOME), Inverted Wild Mouse Steel Coaster (would be great to ride in real life) and many others. Some of the new thrill rides include: Enterprise (a spinning ride), Jet Ski's, etc. There are a few new water rides also. So , if youre stuck on amazon and dont know what to buy, believe me get this game!! *ALSO* You must have the first Roller Coaster Tycoon to be able to play Loopy Landscapes. Great game, low price, cool features, realistic gameplay, whats not to love?

RCT: Latest Add-On

Although I have'nt yet had the opportunity to play this add-on, I imagine it will be just as great as the 2nd, Corkscrew Follies. I wanted to write this review prior to playing the game, to talk to those of you disgruntled about the inclusion of Corkscrew Follies. Hasbro is offering a $10 rebate to Corkscrew Follies owners. If you send them your old CD-Rom, they will send you $10 back to help compensate for the price. You can find the info on this at Rollercoaster Tycoons' offical website.....www.rollercoastertycoon.com...Those of you who don't care, buy this....the new themeing and entrance and exit features will be worth it alone!!

Loopey Landscapes is a little dissappointing

Although I am a fan of RCT, Loopey Landscapes has a few problems in my opinion. The new themeing is fine though I still feel they do not offer enough choices in each genre' to really make your park look unique. Why not add some animated animals for the "Jungle" themeing? Is it really necessary to have "Spooky" and "Creepy" themeing? Same situation with "Space" and "Martian" themeing. Why didn't they just combine these similar styles and offer other choices like "50's," "Wild West," or "Hollywood" themeing for example. Fans expecting 6 new themes are going to be dissappointed. The coffee shop, lemonade stand, and T-shirt stall are all great though I was wishing for even more shops and stalls. I also think that all RCT players would like to see more non-rollercoaster type rides. There are a few added but not many. As for the new scenarios, they are difficult (which I like) but there is a bug in the program that makes a few of them impossible to solve if you let your researcher develope to many new attractions. Until Chis Sawyer develops a patch for this problem, I'd wait on dishing out [the money] for a game that does not live up to the standards we expect from Hasbro, MicrosProse, and the RCT series.

Rebate for those who already own Corkscrew Follies!

To the person who complained about Hasbro jacking the price and including Corkscrew: there is a rebate for Corkscrew owners in the Loopy box. Hasbro did the RCT world a favor: the Loopy set uses tech from Corkscrew; it won't work without Corkscrew. Rather than requiring everyone to buy Corkscrew and then buy Loopy, Hasbro just gives you both in one box!

Loopy is great, both for RCT fans who bought Corkscrew and those who are just getting into RCT.

Without this, there's no use in having the first one!

The first game is fun, but without the expansion pack your roller coaster tycoon game will be incomplete. There are new types of roller coasters, new everything. During your game, did you always have people going in the exits? Not with the Expansion Pack. There are banners that will say "No Entry" across them in bright red, so if people get lost it's not your fault. It's just because they're stupid. There are also fountains that sit on top of the water. The best part about the game is that it includes Corkscrew Follies, so you don't have to buy both expansion packs. If this doesn't convince you to get the game then I don't know what will. So click on the buy it link right now and enjoy hours, no wait days of fun eith thid game.

incredibly addicting

I bought the expansion along with the original game, and it's fabulous!

My husband thinks I'm a stranger, he sees so little of me now. He keeps asking me "Are you *STILL* playing that game?" Heh, heh...

I like the different scenarios, though on a lot of the expansion ones you cannot change the entrance fee to your park, which can make life difficult. There is one scenario, Arid Heights, that has no money at all in it, however, which makes it a great place to practice building all sorts of crazy rollercoasters, which you can then save to use elsewhere.

All in all, definitely a great game, and worth every penny.

And I though Roller Coaster Tycoon couldn't any better

WOW! I was already a big fan of Roller Coaster Tycoon when I bought this one. I was blown away by all the cool new options and scenarios this pack adds.

First off all, this pack includes "Cork Screw Follies" (the first expansion set) AND "Loopy Landscapes," so it is a great value. Plus if you both Roller Coaster Tycoon and this expansion set together at Amazon, you save an additional 10% making it an awesome deal!

What does this expansion set expand on? Well plenty. Here are some highlights:
* most up-to-date (no patches required) version of the game
* 30+ new sceanarios which are more challenging than in the original RCT (more guests, higher statisfaction ratings, park value, shorter time frame to accomplish all this)
* new rides which rock (some of the less thrilling rides are a little more customizable, and hence exciting)
* new ride entrances to play around with (canvas style, log style, wooden stlye, and plain (normal) style)
* new shops and stalls (my fave is the hat stall which sells caps to your guests - they look so cute wondering around with their ballons and caps (you choose the color)!)
* new theming and a redesigned theme menu (change the color of the tiles for the ride entrance path, lots of new paths, and lots of new landscapes)
* music - each ride can now play different types of music to set the tone for the ride and draw in guests (i love this feature)
* option of having common prices throughout the park - now you can change the prices of hamburgers (for example) at all the hamburger stalls throughout the park by changing them just at one stall. All stalls have this feature (which is optional) and in my opinion is the single most useful new addition. Gone are the bad old days when changing the price of an item meant clicking on all the stalls selling the item individually to make the change.

I am sure there are more novelties the expansion brings, but I can't think of them right now. The real bonus the expansion set added for me was "way more fun" with all the expanded options and customizable aspects of the game. The expansion set makes the game more "user-friendly" and in so doing takes the original RCT to a whole new level of incredible.

Great game!

Roller Coaster Tycoon: Loopy Landscapes is a great game, yet it lacks a few things. First, it hasn't added many new rides. Also, you can't charge admission to the park in the normal scenarios, which is where most of the income comes from. On the other hand, it does add tons of new shops and stalls, and it adds 30 new scenarios, most of them having unique goals, such as: "Have a monthly ride income of at least $8,000." Hence the name, Loopy Landscapes has added six new exciting themes, like a Winter theme or a Creepy theme. Loopy Landscapes gives three actual parks that you can control. Alton Towers is one of them. Overall, I really like Loopy Landscapes, though it does lack a few things. I would recommend this game to anyone who has some Roller Coaster Tycoon experience.

A Fine Add-On to the greatest game ever made!

Welcome to my second review for RCT. This time, I will be reviewing the sequels to the first game. Now, since you get both Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes if you buy "Loopy Landscapes"I am gonna talk to you about both of these expansion packs in one. So you find out what you get alltogether.

This game just has better themeing, more scenarios(very important), and a few more personalization tools missing in the original. Thank goodness that now you can color each section of the roller coaster differently. I can FINALLY make the "Fruity Flyer" Corkscrew coaster which I always wanted! You also get 3 real life parks, but they're all in England, so I don't know if any of you'll care.(I just wish they had Six Flags Great Adventure (New Jersey) and Disneyland, and dont forget Coney Island's Astroland.)

You will also get the coasters which everybody wanted after the first game came out. That's right. Feast your eyes, cause you will be getting STANDUP COASTERS(MEDUSA) and oh yeah...REVERSE COASTERS(I think they had in the first too, I am not sure since I installed just after I got the original game), and yup, yup, Suspended Roller coasters baby! Now you can finally make the Batman ride from Six Flags!

However, making a ride high in excitement, normal in intensity, and low in nausea is still a challenge, even for veterans who have followed this series since it was in Britian. I, like most people, want a 200 foot drop going 90 mph. And when I finally make one using hills and underground tunnels, the people look at the enterance, and jump up. I wonder why, like all of you, and check out that the intensity is ULTRA-EXTREME and nausea is Very High. I mean comeon, I have seen twice scarier rides in real life, and this is just a normal 150 foot drop with a few loops. Are the guests in this game all kids or something? Speaking of kids, I'd sure like to see a size different between the older guests and smaller guests.

So I guess that you need to make smaller yet more crazy coasters with trees all around to get the guests excited.

This pack has a few more good things, but nothing very noticable. You can say it's worth the money. But nothing spectacular.

A Must for RCT Users

This is a wonderful expansion pack. From new shops to new themes, it has quite a bit to it. You can even include music on all of your rides to go along with your theme. It even adds new types of cars for your roller coasters. It has all of the scenarios seperated under different tabs. They even have parks based on real ones! Anyone who gets this expansion will see how cool it is.
