ITS NOT A FUN GAME IT IS A WAY OF LIFE

The only problem with this game is that it spoils every game that you will ever play again. Simply the greatest game of all time. I am not sure how anybody will be able to produce a game with the action, music and storyline that half-life offers. Just like I said above this game is a way of life!

Man o man this is an excellent game. This is thee best first person shooter i have ever played. Most first person shooters dont really have a plot its just shoot everything around and dont think twice about it. In half life there is a deep and interesting plot. Its still shoot everything in site but it has a plot and that's important. It is also nice to be able to use security gaurds and scientists. Ever since i got the game i havent been able to put it down yet. The add on counterstrike is even more addicting yet. All and all it is a great game and a must have.

I was hooked as soon as I became Freeman. Absolutely brilliantly put together. Took me a while to do it, just keeps you pumping every step of the game. Everything about this game is wonderful. I can't wait for them to do a sequel!

You must play this game! The best shoot em up I have every come across. Actually it is much more than a shoot em up game. Much much more.

Addicting and Unpredictable

This game is one of the best games i have ever played. Its addictiing and there are so many ways to do what you want to do and often unpredictable. Wen you die, you dont get pissed (usually dont) because its so good you'll want to do it again and again (you will die alot). If your looking for a good old (1998) game to get, tan look no further tan Half Life (get platnum edition though)

Brilliant Classic Gameplay

Half-Life is easily the best game ever made, no doubt about it. The graphics are a little out dated but thats okay the gameplay more than makes up for it. It isn't perfectly realistic but it comes very close to it. For one, you can carry 8 weapons at a time but thats the case it most shooters. And head shots don't kill. But besides that the game is very realistic. Guns are in logical places not just lying there as with health, health power-ups aren't just sitting there, instead you get health at refill pump which also are in very logical places. Now as the plot goes, the most brilliant part in the game. You are a scientist who works at Black Mesa Reseach Facility and are working on a very big project which goes very wrong, warping aliens to the lab. Now the lab is infested with deadly aliens and you are the only one who can save you fellow scientists. Wanna find out what happens? THEN BUY THE GAME!!!

Completely engaging! You'll be sucked in!

While not being completely partial to such games as "Half-Life," I sat down to play it with some friends, and ended up spending every free minute I had in school playing the game against my friends. This is one of the best first-person shooter games to come along in a long time, and to be quite honest, I can't seem to remember a better gaming experience that kept me involved for so long. The graphics are nicely rendered, and if you have the required RAM and memory, they move smoothly and crisply. The game itself is an involving challenge, and will take more than a few days to be figured out. Multiplayer games are the best, hosting a stunning array of weapons and ammo for your enjoyment and destruction. "Half-Life" is one of the best games of the century! I recommend it to everyone in need of some time consumption.

I'll make it short... HALF-LIFE is simply all you always wanted to get on a Shoot 3D but were afraid to ask !!! Hell of a game, but, YES, it's heaven's gamer.

This is the greatest most visually stunning action game of all time. This definently blows away Unreal Tournament, the Quake franchise, and even Soldier Of Fortune. The graphics are flawless and perfectly made. The gameplay is fast and furious. The enemies will scare the hell out of ya and are reasonably smart. Well thought out levels. Spectacular array of weapons. Highly addictive and entertaining. The cut-scenes are awesome and of course there is plenty of gore. Simply amazing. Buy it.

This game is the best game ever created. No matter what genre you like you'll love this first-person shooter game. When I bought it, I couldn't get away from my computer without completing the whole game. It's the best and I am telling you that you have to get this game no matter what!!!!!

Half-Life is the best computer game I have ever played. This game is rated mature but youcan turn the blood off if you don't like it or your parents won't let you have it. The graphics on this game are wonderfull. The weapons are fantastic. Some of the weapons are real life weapons and some are alien looking guns with outrageous power. I wouldn't recommend this game for people younger then 10. My reason is you can turn the extreme violence off but it's still not suitable for young players. If you like first person shooter games and you like realistic games this is the game for you!
