Well its improved since beta...

I played both AC1 and the beta of AC2, and I now play AC2 retial. I admit my hopes were crushed when I entered beta, but I realized because it was, well, BETA. There were suppossed to be bugs and lag =P. So now that turbine has fixed up the bugs and lag, AC2 is a really cool game. The skill system is awesome, letting you untrain and retrainskills, eliminating the "gimp". As for the whole "no NPC" thing that some reviews from a while ago talked about--that has been taken care of. Although right now there are no vendors, tons NPCs have been added for help, starting quests, etc. AC2 includes some great things like---
Many great indepth quests that are both stunning graphically and are FUN
Hundereds of Skills and specials unique and many ways
Right now there isn't, being that turbine wants to fix up AC2 a little more before they start, but there WILL be an ever-evolving story line that makes YOU part of something greater then YOU
Vualt campians that puzzle you mind and are greatly awarding, not only giving you XP, but showing you a bit of AC2 past via in-game-movie
Three races, all extreamly uniques-three islands, all extreamly unique
Lastly some things that WILL be added to AC2 in upcomming patches>>>
Mounts (as in things you ride)
Houses (a place to call your own that you can biuld and cusmtomize)

OK, Kinda boring, first is definatly better

I beta tested the early and the late stages of this game, and I have to say it is not as good as the first. Graphics are tremendous, but gameplay is lacking. I personally will wait for World of Warcraft to come out. Should be interesting to see what they do with this game.

I think whoever is knockig the game before they play the complete version are fools. I personally think this game when complete will be much better than AC 1 and ive been playing AC1 for more than 2 years myself. I also dont think it will be like Dark Age as much as people think, this game is pretty original through and through.

A empty shell

There is just no here here. It is being released in an unfinished state, even for an MMOG, and probably will get away with it. In an attempt to give players a chance to be unique, they have removed so much present in other games that being unique doesn't matter. A terrible design decision, and I do hope it does not inspire others. We are still waiting for the next leap in online games.

I love it!

Even though it's had it's ups and downs since it's coming out I love the game. The graphics are excellent. And I really enjoy the fun activities they have and the continually changing/growing environment.

AC2 is a great online game....

I have spent the last 2 months in AC2 Beta. This game is great! Graphics rock, combat is very challanging, character development is wide and varied. I have played all races, and many for the tepmplates. They all have unique abilities and fun-factor.

I am really looking forward to Release!

This game has tons of potential. The graffics are great. The skill tree is pretty cool. Combat is fun. The game is in beta right now and lacking in content, and is a bit unbalanced. But AC was known for there great monthly updates and AC2 is suposed to be easier to update and more flexible. I expect great things from the updates to make the already great game engine into a great game.

A Great Time, Even If Not Perfect

The reviews I read on this game before it's release and shortly after prompted me to really wonder whether or not it was worth a try. Ultimately, I received it as a Christmas gift, and was glad I had. Fan expectations ran so unreasonably high
that few reviewers came to this game with an open mind. It is true that the world of AC2 could use more content, but the developers have created a massively multiplayer online RPG that successfully addresses most of the problems inherent to this genre, such as camping, griefing, and strong players victimizing the weak. The allegience system gives higher level players a reason to go out of their way for lower level players without actually penalizing anyone. As a result I have found the atmosphere in the game to be very civilized and the other players supportive. Powerful items require a high level player to use them, so that high level players cannot supercharge their new characters in ways that would unbalance the game. It would be nice to have more content and more variety in the avatars that are available, but the monthly game patches offer the potential of a constantly expanding, improving game. If held to the standards of a major religion, it fails to impress, but if viewed as a game you can play with other people online in a persistent world I think it qualifies as a success. Get it and have some fun!

Pretty Good

I have had this game for about a month and I am still hooked. Microsoft must be putting nicotene in the game because I cant stop playing it. The gameplay is sweet, the skills are sweet everything is perfect. Its even too perfect I have a pretty new computer with a brand new graphics card and I still had to crank the settings down to get optimum performance. IT is a system requirements HOG. Otherwise, I reccomend this game to anyone who is willing to pay a small monthly fee for it. If your interested and want to find out more check these websites out...

This game... Augh is a waste of time. Wow look at those graphics. Graphics only make a game look good. Asherons call 1. Thats a game worth playing! Anyways AC2 is very stupid and is a huge set back because its almost impossable to be a gimp A.K.A. having a bad template. NO STATS.[] How can they not have stats? Tisk Tisk. This game, take my word for it, isn't worth it. Yes I have played it. Haha, theres only 22000 ppl on the server TOTAL. With 9 servers. 22000/9 = 2444 total players in each world. About 100 playing average each day. Comparing that to ac1. I cant get the total players in ac1 but average 750 players in each world. 8 worlds. 6000 people daily. Go figure. I have asked SO many people in ac1 if they played ac2. usual anwser... Yea, i didn't like it... They then came back to ac1. What im telling you is that if your goign to buy a MMORPG game GET AC1 AND !!!NOT!!! AC2. Ac2 is very limited. The max lvl is 50. Max skill lvl is 50. Ac1 no max lvl and max attribute is 430. Which is almsot impossable to reach. AC1 has just as many skills as ac2 (not sure seems so as i can recall) and has attributes. AC1 has a huge huge landscape. AC2 has a very small landscape. You could run the whole map in 3 hours. In ac1 it would litraly take you 20 hours. They are even discussing to make another expansion pack for a 4 year old game (AC1). Well geez. I dunno what else to say but anyways im just trying to save you money from evil ac2 lol. Instead buy a 20 dollor Dark Majesty. Plz Plz Plz listen to me. ;) dont take the same road I took. Btw im back playing AC1.
