This is the best 3D Zelda so far. It is fun, looks good, there are some very cool new items and it has the best story of all Zelda games.
Highly recommended

Twilight Princess is a wonderful game. Awesome graphics and an old so familiar concept. Once again you must deliver Hyrule from the hands of the deviant Ganondorf. The graphics are great and it feels good. Using the Wiimote just feels natural in this game. Now for the bad part. Fishing with the Wiimote is a hassle. Annoying and frustrating come to mind as words to use for this requirement. You could literally be stuck for hours trying to catch one fish. I've tried various methods and none really seem to help. You just either catch it or you'll get frustrated and give up. Also there is a major glitch in the game where if you save in a particular area you are pretty much done. I've not seen any tips for getting out of it. Other than these two concerns the game play is fine. I've not played the GameCube version of the game to see if it fares any better but its a good game for the Wii (other than fishing).

The best Zelda since Ocarina

This game is so fun to play. The controls with the Wii mote make it even more fun. I had a friend initially laugh at me for looking really stupid. Then I let him play the game. He wasn't laught at me after that.

Storyline is a nice change. Won't get into it much as not to try to spoiler the game for the people that haven't played yet. Some nice new equipment and two worlds work better than they did in Link to the Past.

Same challenge you would expect from a Zelda game. Midna is a bit annoying, but not as annoying as Mr Tingle was in Wind Wakers. Game looks good for a Wii game. You got to remember this isn't your PS3 or Xbox 360 with Blu Ray/HD technology.

How I love Zelda, let me count the ways...

The Legend of Zelda series includes some of the greatest games ever-including, in my opinion, THE greatest game ever, A Link to the Past. What makes these games so great? Many things that they all have in common, including, but not exclusive to...
1. They balance the challenge of puzzles with the button mashing of combat. Each dungeon has plenty of enemies to kill and plenty of puzzles to work your brain. I hold firm to the belief that playing Zelda over the years has improved my reasoning and logic.
2. They don't show more violence than they need to. Think of how many enemies you kill in a Zelda game. The fatalities reach quadruple digits. But each enemy you kill vanishes in a puff of smoke and leaves behind only useful items. It is also impossible to hurt the innocent.
3. They (mostly) turn off the clock. Each of these games has so many things to do besides the obvious mission of getting the Master Sword and the story that follows (more on this later). Players can play games, go fishing, or just run around killing stuff for rupees, which has gotten MUCH more fun since the SNES version. There is no time limit in these games, with the unfortunate exception of Majora's Mask. Removing the clock from the situation relieves a lot of pressure. Wanna go fishing after a long day at the office? Turn on Zelda and visit Hena, or fish in one of dozens of lovely spots, without affecting your mission in any way.
4. The music is and always has been spectacular. The music of the original games appears in the latest version, more than 20 years later. That's HUGE. The music isn't recycled from game to game, though, it's tweaked and improved every time, and new pieces are added as well.
5. Players never feel alone. The problem with many adventure games is that they involve a solitary adventurer on a mission. Period. This can get boring and even lonely at times. I noticed this in Metroid, and stopped playing. In Zelda, there's always communication with somebody who is on your side, even in a dungeon. And outside the dungeons, there are plenty of people to talk to. Adding a tangible person in Midna makes Twilight Princess that much more enjoyable.
6. The bosses. The bosses are always awesome. They are visually impressive and a little intimidating, especially when towering over a boy, but they are nevertheless managable. Also, defeating a dungeon boss never involves mere hacking and slashing with the sword, it is a bit of a small puzzle in itself, almost always involving the nifty new gadget that you found in the dungeon. Bosses in Twilight Princess are no exception. They are not very difficult to defeat, but almost always satisfying and certainly a lot of fun. Also, the look of Zant is absolutely awesome. The profane mask with protruding tongue and bulging eyes is absolutely inspired, as is the madman beneath it.
Lucky 7. The familiar, Law-and-Order style plot formula. Yes the style is repeated from games past, but the repetition is comfortable, and never dull. I was blown away the first time I played A Link to the Past and finally got my hands on the Master Sword, only to realize that the journey had just begun. That's incredible storytelling! The same formula is used in Twilight Princess, and while I now know that the Master Sword is only an early step in completing the game, the story still manages to amaze me. I won't give any details, but the story follows the classic lines and conflicts of Zelda games past, but never feels like a repeat.

I hope this has reminded people why they love Zelda and will hopefully continue to appreciate the superb craftsmanship of the games in the future. Cheers, and happy fishing.

This is the best game I've played in a long time, and it is already up there among the best games I've ever played. Great story. Great control (the Wiimote is great). Amazing gameplay. The pacing is amazing. You are always on to the next thing as you are finishing the previous task. Graphics = Great. I was really suprised as to how good it looked!

Some games set the bar for all others; be it Metroid Prime, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time or Metal Gear Solid. These games are the pinnacle of excellence and define their own genre.

Twilight princess is one such game. It embodies everything that has made Zelda games so much fun in the past and is an absolute pleasure to play for hours on end.

The land of Hyrule, in which Zelda games are often set, is a beautifully realised universe that creates a lasting impression of being a real place. With dark/light good/evil opposing each other throughout the games story.

An instant classic! :)

I know lots of people are says that this game is great but I found it to be far to easy and uninteresting for a zelda game. I like the wii controller but it's just not enough to pull me into this game for very long. I'm about 4 hours into it right now and I probably will get around to finishing it sometime but I'm in no rush to do it. A lot of the other zelda's, I would stay up for days straight playing them.

This game is really fun to learn how to use the Wii`s, many accessories nunchuck, wii mote, it has a really good story line behind it, and also has some prime graphics, but still no one`s ever going to beat ocarina of time, but this is the second best installment yet.

This is the Zelda you've been waiting for.

If you aren't a Zelda fan alredy, this game may change your mind. I have never been a fan of Zelda myself, but I love this game. The new, more mature feeling is a very welcome change from the cartoonish Windwaker. Anyone who complains about these graphics is just being nit-picky. As far as gameplay, it is challenging and a lot of fun at the same time. The controls makke you feel like you are in the game.Horse riding can be tough at first, but after five or ten minutes, you should have no trouble whatsoever. Granted I am only about 7 hours into the game, but still the story has me sucked into the game to the point that you feel that you are Link, out saving the world on your noble quest. This is the first Zelda game that have I have truly enjoyed. I'm addictid to it and can't wait for the next one to come out!
