worth your money(only 20 bucks!!). the missions are too easy,
but the multiplayer part is awesome. the game has good graphics and sound.buy it.

this is such a terrible game....u cant buy new stuff for ur car or get new cars for jobs you do...its only 2 cars to pick from! even though i bought it for $9 plus tax at the local Game store, its still a waste of money...im gonna return it right away

At first look, I pictured Smugglers Run to be a action fun filled game, as soon as it loaded I knew I was wrong. The graphics are PS1 caliber, there is no plot to the game (in contrast to the backcover), and it is not "fun". I felted cheated... You can not compare this game to any other PS2 game I own. I was truely disappointed.

This is an incredible game! It is very similar to the Driver series, in that you must complete a series of missions while avoiding the police, and beating the time on the clock. However, there are enough new elements to make this an enjoyable game in it's own right. The graphics are very good, especially the detail of the buggy and the police cars. The maps are simply huge and there is a mode called "Joyride" in which you can just cruise around and enjoy the scenery. The game play is challenging to say the least. I am not the kind of gamer that can afford to devote long hours to beating a level, and so I do think that the game can be quite frustrating at times, but like I said, I don't have a whole lot of time to play anyway. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys racing games with a twist.

Smuggler's Run gives a whole new idea to modern day gameplay, missions are fun and challenging, and freeride mode is infinite, you can pick a area and drive for ten minutes in one direction and just come to the end of the map. This game is definitly a RockStar game and I can not stop renting it from the video store. Five Stars!!

Graphics: 4/5 - nice environments, cars are ok looking, the scenarios are rather boring though
Controls: 4.5/5 - i really have no complaints, it might be somewhat difficult to maneuver your car if cops are after you depending on how good you are
Storyline: 2.5/5 - grand theft auto but much worse set in a rural setting, with completely linear gameplay. i'll never understand the story exactly.
Fun: 2.5/5 - not all that enjoyable. it was a launch game though and the ps2 took a bit to get off the ground, so what do you expect, must rent before buying or be ready for dissapointment, dont expect it to be close to as good as is advertised
Value: 4/5 - used this game is almost nothing, and you can be plenty of people will be willing to sell, anything over 12 (maybe 15) is too much

Better than the Gran Turismo series! This is the only game I can honestly say that about! If you haven't played this yet, you're missing out... This is a Kick-A** racing game without the limits of a course!

I rented this game after reading how good this was.. but it seems that this game is below playstation 2..and dreamcast standards. Graphics are pretty good..you can basically go almost anywhere. If you go too far offroad, all of a sudden, your car mysteriously starts flying very high and far from where you came from...just image a car being hit with a giant baseball bat. Graphics run at 30 frames..I expected 60, considering PS2's power. And the textures need some polishing too. Game got boring after a while..you basically do the same thing over and over. I say this barely passes as a rental.

Terrible game, I had more fun playing RC pro am on my game boy, nothing like it reads to be, drive around in circles on 3 levels runnign through gates, with the cops chasing you, terrible graphics, no reason to even play this game again
