The Last Revelation is the beggining.

This is possibly the-if not, second- best Tomb Raider game. The graphics are awsome(all things considered), Lara looks great(as ususal), and the music is so good you'll wish they made a soundtrack you can buy. The story line is unique, as are the levels. For example, during one level, you enter a room that flips completely upside-down. Also, there is an entire level that happens on the roofs of cars on a speeding train. The puzzles can get frustrating, and the solutions, difficult to perform(using a rampaging bull to smash down a door). And it has its share of freaky stuff you would expect from tomb raiding in Egypt(flesh eating beetles, ghosts,etc.). All in all, this game is every thing a true Tomb Raider fan could want.

AWESOME!!!!!!

ATTENTION: Most, if not all, of the reviews you have read are from people who have not played the last third of the game...the last third totally blows. Earlier in the game, there are some really innovative ideas, such as a level that takes place on a moving train, creatures that can only be killed by water, etc., but there is zero imagination once you get to the pyramids levels. The ending is not in the slightest bit challenging and is completely anticlimactic--there isn't even a final boss! Wait until TLR goes into the bargain bin along with the rest of series if you really need to play it. Otherwise, just buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater...tons more fun for your money...

Got the game for Christmas and have palyed it ever since. The first 2 levels are great with some training for those of you who havent played TR before. I highly reccomend this to those of you with high IQ's who like puzzles and action. But it now.

I fishined the game in about 4 to 5 months and I say get it if you like hard games and hard levels. I let my brother borrow it about 2 to 3 months ago and he still has it. He says that it is a really good game. If you like this game and TR, TR2, and TR3 then you should get this one. I give it an A++.

amusing but complicated

This game is really fun, yet complicated. This game is definately one of the best tomb raiders yet. You spend most of the game in Africa, and you ride a truck and a motorcycle. Also if you get caught in a certain place you can do the level skip code found at many sites including http://www.gamesages.com . I would definately recomend this to any fan of the past Tomb Raider games (I own them all) You can also buy a Prima's Official Strategy Guide if you get caught. Well I enjoyed this game and hope you also get a chance to.

Lara's Last Revelation

This is a very fun game and I would recommend it to anyone. This game is very challenging with unique puzzles that almost make you want to break the game because they're so hard. But hey.. this is Lara's final revelation so it must be a challenge. The game takes place in beautiful Egypt and the graphics are really good this time. There are 35 challenging full length levels as Lara seeks out in search of Horus in order to trap the evil God Set. Also Lara's encounters her greedy arch enemy Von Croy along the way. This very LONG LONG game gives you a great way to end the series and once you beat it be in store for the final FMV suprise at the end.......poor Lara. Buy this cool game now!

Best in the series

This game is definitely worth every penny. It's the longest in the series, and the most fun. I don't know why everyone's like "Tomb Raider 2 is the best!!!" well, sure the Barkhang Monastery was cool. But this games vast levels make up for it. It took me years to beat this game. Cuz I didn't cheat and look at walkthroughs. (yah i know you do) About every level is gynormous and has tons-o-puzzles to solve, and enemies to annihilate, or run from. Even a level where you're on a moving train. It's a cool story. You start the first level (basically a training level) and you play as young Lara being mentored by Werner Von Croy, but his greed gets the best of him and he gets stuck in cambodian ruins. Later he comes back to kill Lara because she has the amulet of Horus and set Seth free. And Von Croy is bent on world domination or something.
Whenever you think the game is gonna end, theres another level, and another level, an another level. Which makes you keep playing and playing. Levels link together and you have to backtrack and remember where things are, which tests your thinking skills. There's even a level where you have to play a giant board game, with an ancient face who's attached to the wall, which sounds retarded but its awesome.

"They're" BIGGER than ever!

Look out DK64's Candy Kong, here comes BIG (REALLY BIG) bad Lara Croft! She is much better looking and has developed more than ever. The game is great. Lots of control. Too bad you mostly see her from behind.

FUN game--Same Drama

I enjoyed this game because its just a fun type--not excessive killing, but requires brainwork. I have played all previous versions and enjoyed them, but the game as I have read in other player reviews, and agree, has begun to become dry for me. Again, graphics, video cuts, etc. are all top of the line, but I think we need something new here--two player combined effort requiring teammate--something else, beyond enhanced anatomy and combinable weapons/items. Keep at it EIDOS.
