After defeating the first spyro game for the playstation... i thought to my self boy the next spyro was gonna be great.. but to my surprise...i got addicted. its very fun and easy to play. Plus you get to meet with new freinds and one of them is a cheeta called hunter. He is crazy but this feline frined helps you out in numerous ways. The graphics for this game is unbeliveable.. a must buy!

They say that in Magma Cone. Man, this is an awesome game! ya, it is kind of for little kids, but 5that's what make it really fun!

Graphics: not bad. can seem a little 2D at times but i wouldn't have it any other way! i mean, Spyro all shiny and beautiful, nah.

Sound: ha, ha ha! good, i guess. i love the music in Collosus and Magma Cone.

Controls: couldn't be more simple. X=Jump, O=Flame, square is Charge. there are a few special moves and stuff but i guarentee, this game will not have you button mashing or anything. rl easy.

Camera: this can sometimes be a problem. like you'll jump down from somewhere and the camera goes "woooooooooosh" and you're like dude!

Storyline: kinda weak. you're about to take a vacation w/ Sparx but you get taken to avalar instead and there's elora and hunter and they're all like go kill ripto and then they leave and you're like 0_0

Replay: ? haven't replayed yet

Overall: if you're into teh sorta cheesy ff9 graphics (sorta) and fun gameplay, then what r u waiting for? go out and get it ppl!!

If you like to watch a purple dragon running around and trying to fly you will love this game! But most people don't like that so DONT BUY IT! If you must see it rent it first, then decide.

Better than the original, and genuinely fun for all ages.

As much as I loved the original Spyro -- the sequel blows it away.

Everything that I liked best about the original -- the interactivity, the detailed and sophisticated environments and fun stuff like blowing things away with cannons -- is back and cranked up several notches.

Everything that made the original game sometimes seem repetitive -- doing nothing but collecting gems and dragons, the tiny worlds, only being able to use a few moves in any given environment -- is dumped.

And while this game really is perfect for kids -- the worst thing in it is some cartoon violence of dinosaurs swallowing cavemen and spitting out an enormous bone -- it's a hoot for adults, with lots of subtle humor and a game that's challenging enough without having anything as frustrating as Tree Tops from the original game.

An instant classic.

I don't beleive this game is worth the effort. You work your butt off to get to the end just to find a "bad guy" you can beat with little to no effort at all! It's more difficult passing all of the speedways than it is beating ripto! However, after you kill him, there is a fun time to be had at the carnival. As long as you remember that you need EVERY jewel and EVERY orb it is way too easy!

everyone this game is the bomb. i mean it okay if u haven't tried it u should okay. with no rescuing dragons just getting orbs it's cool ripto is sort of hard but fun to beat and all the orbs u got u get to use when fighting him, isn't that cool. i tried the first spyro but i liked the second one betta. in this one u can attually swim, glide further, and even have super power ups those are cool. if any of this info doesn't make u wanna buy the game there are many other reasons to buy it. i didn't read any of these just tried it when i saw the game and liked it.

This second game is REALLY great! Any age would enjoy it. It is challenging but easy enough to complete. Almost just as good as the first one!

Unlike The Original

The previous game didn't have events in it.This one has lots of events,you can play hockey,ride a manta ray,and a lot more.Well,maybe the original did have a few events in it,but this one definetly has more! Except in Spyro:Year of The Dragon,you ride a skateboard,snowboard,submarine,plane,jetpack and speedboat.In this game you can only Powerflame,become Invincible,Superfreeze and more.Just because the first and third games didn't have Superfreeze,Bigbounce,and a bit more,dosn't mean they are not enjoyable! And it dosn't mean this is best one.Spyro:Year of the Dragon is.The End

i got this game when i was 7 and i still engoy it today! it is so great!it is fun with tons of levels and amazing graphics it is the best game ever! when i woke up on cristmas morning i screamed and raced up to the tv chewed through the shrink wrap from loving the first one so much!

YOU MUST BUY IT!!

I saw my cousin playing a different type of spyro game and with all the good reviews for this game i decided to buy it. once i started playing it, i understood what the reviews were. the graphics are excellent. the gameplay is also great. i never played the first or the third one but i must say that based on my opinion,the reviews and the screenshots i think this is the best of the three. this is the best playstation game i own. i rated this five stars. if i could i would rate it ten. if you see this game, buy it. its definitely worth the money.
