Another good party game. This is the 2nd Spyro game of all time! Here, Spyro can now swim, climb and head bash! Spyro gets pulled into a wonderland called Avalar where he makes friends with Elora the fawn/faun, Hunter the cat/cheetah and Professor the mole/mouse. Spyro should save the gigantic and magical world from the Gnorcs led by Ripto, Crush & Gulp. There are new mini-games like Hockey, Roller-Coasters, Dunk-the-targets and even a new flight level mini-game where you help Hunter!
There are 4 fantastic flight levels and 3 wonderful and mysterious lands where you get to collect 10/10 talismans, 64/64 orbs/bouncing planets, thieves and all gems.
There are many non-dragon creatures who populate most of the levels and give you several tasks to do!
Spyro can now breathe ice, super fly in normal levels, breathe green fireballs, breathe super red flame-balls and walk around on the lava without getting hurt!
If you love Spyro 1 and Croc 2, I reccomend Spyro 2.

I was a little bit disappointed with this Spyro. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome game, but Insomniac could've put a little more effort into it. With only three worlds and about twenty-one levels, this game may only be for true Spyro fans, but, I strongly encourage you to buy this game.

SPYRO 2 IS THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD APART FROM SPYRO 1. IT WAS FUN AND INVENTIVE AND HAS LOTS OF THINGS TO COLLECT AND GAMES TO PLAY. IT'S AWSOME!

I think this is the greatest game for the playstation, but i play it on ps2, because it has great graphics and a fun storyline. this is a must have for ps1 and ps2 gamers!

Spyro 2 featured several new characters.There's Zoe,the fairy who zaps Spyro to save his progress,Hunter,the forgetful cheetah,Elora,who's a "faun,you dork!",who can navigate you to new portals,Moneybags,the greedy bear,the Professor,who's specialty is portals,Ripto,the power-hungry lizard,and his 2 bumbling sidekicks,Crush and Gulp. Ripto invades Avalar,prompting its inhabitants to seek out a dragon.Spyro is pulled to Avalar while he's on vacation,and must collect all of the 14 talismans in order to save Avalar. For me,the best parts are the tasks.Moneybags will teach you and allow you to use things for "a small fee". My favorite part is underwater swimming.You must,I repeat,MUST learn this if you want to get past the levels where you save seahorses and Turtle Beach.The underwater effects are cool,like seaweed,fish,swimming enemies,and the like. Spark,Spyro's loyal dragonfly pal,is back,along with his habit of butterfly eating.Sometimes I try to scorch Spark,but it fails.(grins) The bad parts?Some of Moneybags's prices are ridiculously high.Take the headbash fee,for example.This is fixed after you defeat the Sorceress in Spyro 3,since you chase and flame Moneybags so he gives you ALL the gems he took from Spyro,and he gives you an egg for the hard work!Also,some orb quests are HARD,and the amount of orbs needed to fight Ripto is AWFUL!40 orbs?! ACK!
So all in all,Spyro 2 rocks!

i own all three of the spyro games. i am 54 years old and bought them to play with my 4 year old grandson. actually he taught me to play. i would tell everyone to get them all for the are all different. i understand the people who will write the spyro 4 which will not be out for awihle is only for playstation 2 and that makes me very mad. i was hoping to buy another spyro for us. maybe if eveyone writes to the people who makes the game the will make it for all of us. i can't afford a playstation 2 machine and wouldn't buy one if i could afford one. if most of us that really loved spyro would write to the writers of spyro we can make a difference. I WANT A SPYRO 4 FOR A PLAYSTATION ONE CONSOLE. i am a spyro fan to the end as you can tell and so is my grandson.
