It's even better than the first one!

I got the first Spyro game for a christmas present along with a playstation and some other games. I have played alot of video games and i found that Spyro was the best. It's not to hard and its not too easy. I loved it. I couldn't wait till the sequel came out. When I saw it in a gamer magazine i told myself that i had to get it. I finally got it! It's just like the first one exept it's got different gameplay, new moves, and its alot more fun! I recommend this game for all ages. I have one thing to say:It's the best game I've ever played!

Simply the best the Playstation has to offer

Both my kids and all of the neighborhood kids love this game. The characters are funny and the game is challenging without being violent. A rarity in video games.

Disappointing Sequel to the Original

Spyro was the best game we have bought for the Playstation and we were looking forward to this sequel. We we greatly disappointed.

Spyro 2 introduces new moves, worlds and characters but sacrificies the adventure. The worlds are to small and busy. There are also way to many animated "movie clips." They really break the action. Also the animation is cheap looking if contrasted with the original.

The original Spyro kept the parents as well as the 4 year old captured for weeks until we completed it. The sequel will bore you if you are much older than 4.

But the 4 year old loves it! If you want something for everyone in the family, get the original.

Spyro 2

Spyro 2 is great except for one thing: it's too short. Spyro 1 kept my son and me entertained for weeks! Spyro 2 will be completed (via rental) before I even get a chance to buy him a copy for Christmas!

The new moves are cool. Hope they continue with the excellent graphics and come out with aother Spyro in the near future.

I love this game. It's a great sequel and it gets you hooked. You can play it for hours and hours losing track of time. I would highly recommend it.

Mixed Bag

I loved Spyro. It was fun, fresh, and had great grahpics. Spyro 2 seems a bit harder than the first by requiring a lot of going through the same worlds twice as you gain the ability to do new moved. Not only that, but mini-games much like Ape Escape or Crash Bandicoot. Hidden places that are completly unmarked like Myste/Riven. New feature you'll see a lot of, swimming under water. So, it's a nice sequel, with a few irritations for people like me who adored the first one but felt cheated to realize the flight simulations were necessary for a complete finish. I guess I just want a game with Spyro and none of the other stuff thrown in there.

No Dragons, Just Orbs

I was expecting another round of Dragon rescues, but was pleasantly surprised. Some of the orbs are really hard to find, and Hunter can be difficult to beat. Overall it's fun and the graphics are just as great as the first Spyro. Ripto and his goons are toungher than Gnasty Gnorc ever thought about being! In Autumn Plains, look for cracks in the walls (that's the only hint you're getting)! The only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars is the ending ... what a bummer.

A great family game

I purchased Spyro last year and all the kids in my family loved it. The adults played it almost as much because of easy game play, good characters and simply, alot of fun. Spyro 2 is at least as good as Spyro. The new moves, challanges and characters are great fun. The game was a big hit over Thanksgiving weekend and kept kids of all ages amused and entertained for hours. There is nothing in the game that is offensive and it is ofter quite funny.

It is ok, but the First is Better

I rented the first game from a neighbor of mine and I loved it. It was challenging and fun. Then when this game came out, I was a bit disappointed. The graphics and controls were the same but it was TOO EASY! I beat the game in less then 4 days of renting from Blockbuster. If you like short, sweet, and easy games, this is for you. If you are like me and want challenging games, I recommend getting either Final Fantasy 8, Syphon Filter, or Metal Gear Solid.
