I own both resident evil one and two and love them both. I tried this game due to its resemblence and realized it was nothing more. I was a cheap rip off, boring and repetitive. No surprises, no challenges. Possiply one of the worst games I have played
Ultra lame!

I love video games, especially when they're creepy...but this game just bites. The game play is lame, the characterization is less than interesting and all you do is run around for ever and nothing interesting happens. I say if you want a good game...don't buy this one.
A weak version of Resident Evil

I was rather excited to purchase this game, even though everyone I spoke to warned me against it. I should have listened. This is a poorly executed version of Resident Evil with none of the careful prep or imagination. I would rather dig out my eyes with a dull spoon than have to watch any of the video in this one again. Some of it was interesting. Most of it was confusing at best--all of it was inane. I loved all of the rooms without any possibility of ever entering them. You don't find that in Resident Evil. If they have a room in Res Evil, there is a reason for it. I wouldn't wish this game on my worst enemy. What a waste of my time.
Don't get it

Konami is just tring to make money by making a Resident Evil-style game, and they failed miseribly. The Controls really need work and you can only see like5 feet in front of you. The worst part is it is more confusing than scary.
Better than RE series......PLEASE!

I am a huge fan of the RE series, Tomb Raider, etc. Many people compared this game to those other games, but there is no comparison. What is all the talk about this game being SO scary? There were a couple of scenes that made me flinch ever so slightly but nothing that made me jump and gasp like RE does. Putting something in fog and darkness DOES NOT automatically make it scary! Some of the puzzles were somewhat interesting to solve but did not require a lot of time and effort to do so. I can only say that this game is MEDIOCRE at best. For those of you who found this game SO scary I suggest you play Spyro or the Crash series.
Not "all that"!

I am sorry to have to give this game only 3 stars but......I do find it frustrating to play the character who has to endlessly walk in a thick fog while searching for his child.
At first it's a bit spooky but it quickly becomes a pain. I guess the character would agree!
I did like the features of the human characters and I managed to be pretty good using the gun although I have read otherwise from some folks.
The game seems a bit slow playing out and confusing. Again, I am sure the characters are "feeling" the same way.
I would recommend this game to people with lots of patience and who like the idea of not seeing clearly more than 12 feet ahead of the character. Also you need to have lots of time to spend on this game.
My idea of a good older game is Resident Evil:Director's Cut. It's something special!
thanks,
To much hype?...

Well I finally bought this game after hearing so many stories of how people catch "scare attacks" and what-not and not for nothing... I was totally! let down... I've played Fatal Frame and found that game to be down-right terrifying, and was hoping to get the same feel with silent hill, but nope... not at all...
Maybe it's because I'v ebeen spoiled by Fatal Frame? or maybe I should have played it when it was first! released... but I actually found this game to be kinda cute... lol. Following the monsters in the dark when they can't see you is funny, and beating them in the back of the head with a pipe when they're not looking is even funnier.
Some! things that seemed errie were the camera angles, the music and some voices that you hear. The darkness factor is alright but that radio? ugh... the worst! attempt to a creepy sounding radio noise... The puzzles were ok, and the monsters?... zombie dogs and flying bat things aren't scary... I'll finish playing the game hoping to be scared to the point were I scream like I did with Fatal Frame, although I dont think it'll happen. An ok game to add to a collection, just so you can tell who-ever was scared of this game that they need something more to scream about. :)
Creepy and Disturbing

Zombie Babies!..Zombie Babies!, its what makes the game tick. The controls were "sloppy", but, i really didnt mind cause the graphics were awsome. One of my favorites i really enjoyed.
the ending sucks!

This game is in a genre of its own as far as I'm concerned. Whilst it may be in the same vein of some other action/horror titles, it is by far superior in every aspect imaginable. This game provokes a constant atmosphere of brooding terror. This game is dark, suspenseful and twisted. Play this game alone, with the blinds closed, with the TV volume cranked and within minutes you'll be scolding the child in you that is getting up to turn the lights back on. -I'm not kidding, this game will scare you. This is an action/horror game with plenty of action, and enough horror for two games with some left over. Puzzles that will have you scratching your chin, and nightmares made flesh that will have you buying batteries for your night-light. This game takes you to the fog-clad streets of an ominously deserted suburbia, through the twisted paralell worlds of a town gone straight to hell. Here lies an oppurtunity, Nightmarish as it is profound, for you to explore the depths of darkness and maybe, however unlikely, survive. If you're not trembling too badly already and you think you're up for a test of both wits and guts, I strongly suggest you click ADD TO CART.
