I purchased this game in late 1999. The number is explosive. It offers some new tracks for you to try your hand at, while retaining tracks from the original. Also, you'll find updated versions of your favorite cars from the original. The music in the new game is much better than its predecessor. I like it a lot.

I really enjoy the game but I am having problems with it deleting out the garage area after a car runs on the test track and exceeds 240mph....it has some great cars and has great graphics...the cars are alot better, and there is alot that can be done to them....but the only gripe I have is that once I got a car up to 240mph on the test track and the car was bouncing and hard to controll once I went back to the garage I found it had deleted out the whole stock of cars I had bought....also until I received my Super License it also deleted out my license and I had to start over....but oh well other than that I love it....

If you were a fan of the first, you will LOVE GT2. It has everything a pure car enthusiast could ask for. Hundreds and Hundreds of cars, over twice as many tracks, totally customizable cars down to the rims, and plently more! The game plays pretty much the same as the first-which is a good thing since the first played perfect! To sum up, I've never been compelled to review ANYTHING online, but GT2 changed all that. BUY THIS GAME NOW!

The sheer number of cars in this game 500,and tracks,30,is INSANE.There are MINI COOPERS!There are CAMAROS!There are even SCHOOL BUSES!(Not!Play VIGILANTE 8 if ya want school buses...)
GT2 has a F1 Minivan,Suzuki Escudo,even some car names you may miss.Did you even know Venturi,Vector,or Lister Storm existed?!?!They do.GT2 is such an excellent driving game.There is some really tough competition right now:Sega GT,Need for Speed:High Stakes,Test Drive 6,and even Gran Turismo 1.GT2 beats them all,hands down,in every category:Graphics,Sounds,Gameplay,and Car Totals...it wins.(...)I WANT GRAN TURISMO 2!!!

Gt2 is one of the most realistic racing games ever. The tracks, the cars and the whole gameplay is just pure realism and fun. It has over 400 cars from the mini to the GT. The tracks are so real and each have there own little suprises. You can play either day or night, through country, city or town. Chose your own mags, tune your cars to perfection using turbos, gearboxes and even change what your car looks like. Race up to six people or verse your friends in a two player battle. Drive up to speeds of over 600 km per hour. Save your replay or watch a demonstation. Do licence tests and win cars. It's all here, on gran turismo 2

Grand Turismo 2 is the best playstation racing game i've ever played with more than 500 cars u can pick from Honda Civic to Lexus excellent graphics the only downside is that they should have added more racers not just 6 and also forgot Ferrari too but GT2 is still the best racing game i've ever played a must game for PSX

hi people.. well i think this games the best racing one ever.. im a professional of this game.. and i guarantee u. this game is so easy. but i dont like the endurances cuz it takes too much time. i did them for the first gran turismo and i took me around 2 hours and a half to finish the endurances. and in gt2, there r like 7 endurances but in gt, there r only 2. well i think this is a must buy game for all the racing fans. and i am.

This is a great game for all ages and for people who love cars. You can get many different types of cars and you can modify them to your liking. You can add turbo kits, high performance parts such as racing mufflers, intercoolers,new transmissions, and many other great parts. This game starts out kind of slow (still lots of fun) but once you get all your licenses and a lot of credits you will be having tons of fun. This game has unlimited gameplay. You can do rally racing, street racin, and you can do endurance races. I would reccomend this game too anyone of any age.

To start With I have been collecting The GT games And am getting a PS2 and GT3 this year for christmas this game is the best game for play station it has 400+ cars all fully customizable!
and lots of name brand cars.
and soo many races I have had this game for 1 year this christmas and still have about fifteen races left and the arcade mode is unbeatable.
so my advice --- If you are going to get a playstation 1
game GET GRAN TURISMO 2!!!!!

I thought Gran Turismo was great, but Gran Turismo 2 is even better! There are more cars and even some tracks from the first Gran Turismo. I would recommend this game to anyone.
