It beat the graphics,storyline,and gameplay of Final Fantasy 8 to peices. But Final Fantasy 7 truly is better. The story of Final Fantasy 7 draws you into the game with a very straight forward plot. Final Fantasy 9, while doing the same thing, sometimes is very confusing. Though I have only beet the first disc, i feel that I have played far enough into the game to know the basic story. Another downside to the game is the fact that after you get to your ninth expeiriance level it takes a ridiculously long time to go up in levels. Other than that the game is a real gem. So here is ho I feel about Final Fantasy 7,8, and 9.

1st favorite: FF7 2nd favorite: FF9 3rd favorite: FF8 So if you want to play a real great game, go out and get this one.

Having seen many screenshots i cannot wait for this game to reach our shores. This game looks amazing and the storyline sounds brilliant.Hopefully it will soon be released here. COME ON!!!

It's thanksgiving break, Im stuck at college and all of my friends went home. God no this isnt a bad thing, I went and bought this game and immediately went to the liquor store. I plan on sitting in my room and playing this game all week. The graphics are simply amazing. Arguably the best of the series. The game play is self explanitory, for gods sake it's Final Fantasy. Every Final Fantasy Game I have played didn't impress me much at first, but I found myself sitting in front of the TV for hours on end, screwing up my sleep schedule and calling professors pretending I was sick or someone had died. Yes, that sounds pathetic, but that's what these games do to us. The only thing that I am not impressed with so far is the music. The past games in the series set the bar so high, they cannot top themselves anymore.

Final Fantasy IX was and always will be one of the best games of the RPG genre. The characters roles were aptly chosen for the game's storyline, each segment filling the void that only Squaresoft(Square-Enix) can provide.If Final Fantasy VII wasn't already number 1, I'd use this to fill that spot.

Square Enix never really fails to put out solid, quality games, and Final Fantasy IX is no different. Fun, addictive gameplay, intriguing, epic storyline, and a sprawling world to explore are only a few of the reasons why the Final Fantasy series is widely considered the best in the gaming world.

In the 9th installment of the Final Fantasy Series this one brings back the 'old' school gaming. If you've been a F.F. fan since the SuperNES then you'll know what I am referring to. The game play is a 8 out of 10 because in FF 6/3 i liked the way all of the characters could learn magic spells. I enjoy the fact that all of the cast in 9 has a trance mode and each of them can learn new techniques. The summoning isn't too shabby either - all though a lot of the previous monsters from old Final Fantasies have an updated look - they still kick major tooshy.

The storyline is a 10 out of 10 because it is sheer genius. I love the way the story unfolds and as you continue on it just gets better and better.

The cast of characters has his/her unique past and abilities. Each of their personalities is different from the rest and some of them even clash with each other. They have faults and failures they've gone through, as well as good and bad habits. 10 out of 10.

Above all this game is a class unlike many other people who say it totally stunk and the reviewers gave it horrible reviews. In my opinion it's a great game and it shouldn't be a disappointment. Highly recommended.

I absolutely detested this game. To be fair, the graphics are beautiful and the game is well done. However, the learning system was too simple. I didn't mind having characters that couldn't develop into other areas of attack, such as vivi only doing magic. What I did mind was that there were so many characters that you never really got to know any of them. Also, the characters lacked substance and instead were "fluffy" and too cute. To me, Final Fantasy is NOT a child's game, and that is what this one was made into....I realize that the game is graphically very progressed for its time, and thats part of the reason I love final fantasy. But, overall, I'm glad X, X-2, and XII are out now.

I have loved Final Fantasy games for a long time. So when I saw this game I just had to have it. It,s game strategy is similar to the Final Fantasy VIII strategy. A new feature is the treasure hunt game by the chocobo. The characters are humanized animals, which is quite a cute approach. It is difficult and tough to proceed at certain parts in the game, so I stopped playing the game, kind of put it on ice, haha. It is a good game if you can get all the way through. I don't know why they make games so hard to solve sometimes, or is it just me?

... Oh, how I've loved this game. Bringing back all the things I love from past Final Fantasy games and blending them with future concepts. The hints and jokes and names all referencing the past titles along with the Play style and Artistic take on the characters and the world made this game a must have for me and any Final Fantasy or 8-16 bit RPG gamer. It can be very hardcore at times but very funny and fun enough for anyone to pick up and play. Recommended for RPG and Adventure gamers but everyone should play this game in the series above all other FF games except maybe VII

it was the first final fantasy game i played and instantly became a fantasy lover. Best game i have ever played. hope you(the buyer) enjoy the game as much as i have. have fun and let the game be a fun one
