Best Harry Potter Game I Have Played and Own

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 14 / 15

I have played all of the Harry Potter games thus far. I can assure you that this one, the Prisoner of Azkaban, beats the first two by a long shot. The graphics are a hundred times better. You get to play as Ron and Hermione and not just Harry like the first two. You get to collect more shields, more beans, more stuff! You get to hang out at Fred and George's shop and buy whatever you want with the beans, cauldron cakes, and pumpkins that you find along the way. You can replay challenges and final exams. Speaking of which, the challenges are harder than the first two games combined. They are scary, tougher, more challenging, and more beautiful than before. If you read the third book already then that is a bonus because now you will get to see characters that you read about and haven't seen before. It's just a fantastic game and for $29 it is well worth every dollar. I HIGHLY recommend the PC version only because I'm partial to PC. The XBOX is nice, but I think you will enjoy the PC version better. Anyway, if you are wondering whether or not to buy the game, definitely do. It is a gigantic leap ahead of the first two games and you won't be disappointed.

If one were to compare this game to Sorcerer's Stone or Chamber of Secrets, they would agree that this is much better.

POSITIVES: 1)Secrets are still challenging, but a little bit easier to find 2)You are required to find everything before completing the game. This is much better than the Sorcerer's Stone where the game just ended and you didn't have a chance to try and finish gathering cards or finding secrets 3)Virtually impossible to die. Instead of losing lives in challenges and going back to the last place saved, you are simply moved back to the position right before you fell. 4)Gamemakers were much more generous in beans, pumpkin pasties, and cauldron cakes

NEGATIVES: 1)Hippogriff riding presented quite a challenge and probably the most difficult part of the game. You are required to fly the hippogriff through a course for 5 levels. Each level progressively harder than the last. The 5th took quite some time to accomplish.

All in all, I gave the game 5 stars because it presented enough of a challenge to be stimulating, and enough story to be entertaining. In response to those who say this game was too short, I think it's just right for the target audience....kids. Strongly recommend this one. The price is great too.

This game is great, despite its lack of length

This was, I must say, agreat game! From the beginning on the Hogwarts Express/Tutorial level you move on t oHogwarts as you weave through the plot of the book. With a whole new inventory of spells, Harry and his friends can do many things. The game was however, too short. I finished it in just 2 days where I expected at least a week. EA really screwed up, they didn't have a practical use of the Marauder's Map, no Firebolt, no Hogsmede, no Quidditch! They really excluded half the book! Where was Crookshanks! Aside from that, they finally go trid of those awful tests before you learn the spells, I hated those. Great game, if you like Harry Potter, I suggest you get the game, if not, get it anyway!

An excellent and innovative transition of the books

The game is fun. Pure and simple. The bunny is amusing and the flying dragon takes concentration and work. The ICE SLIDE is outstanding and, again, takes patience. If the game was too easy, people would complain....if it's too hard...people will complain. Bottom line is - you can't please them all. But the way they made the characters switch was a good, solidly easy play. I'm looking forward to the next one. Great job, guys & girls.

A GREAT GAME!!!!! review for everyone!

I know everyone says this game is boring and short, but it isn't!!! I'm really academic (and i loved reading everyone else's reviews) and don't play many games, and for me to beat this was a real accomplishment. The game has great graphics and "special features" such as playing as harry, ron, and hermione. there is no quidditch (YES!!!!!! that was frustrating in the second game) but you do get to fly buckbeak the hippogiff and control a small dragon. i loved playing hermione's challenge because it gave you a break from other annoying and a little frustrating parts of the game. i also think that ea spread out the frustration so you wouldn't want to throw your computer out the window all of the time. and, if you have already beat the game and think it's short, try only playing a little a day and it'll feel longer. if you think this game was super easy, i think maybe you played it too often. you have to give it a break and do something else (something academic??? :) ). the only bad thing about this game in my eyes is that it doesn't really stay true to the book and the plot gets a little confusing. if you haven't read the book (the movie doesn't help either) you might find this game confusing plot-wise. however, if you're only looking for great gamplay without much frustration, i highly reccomend this game.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban:

Have you ever wanted to become a wizard? Well here's your chance. Get Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. You get first eye view of what being a wizard is like. Get on your hat and cloak. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the game.
This game is very first-class. You will feel like you are an actual wizard. Have you ever picked up something and didn't want to put it down. Well this is what Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Once you pick it up, you don't want to put it down.
Running trough Hogwarts will make you feel that you belong to that school. You better watch out and not get caught. Speaking about getting caught, look out for all the knights. You also might want to look out for all the things that crawl around and fly around. Get as many bertie bots as you can. Look in places like desk, statues, and cloaks.
This video game is very easy to understand. Don't worry about which buttons to push. Down near the bottom of the screen the game tells you what to push, when to push the buttons at the right time. Be as quick as you can. After five to eight seconds the hint will disappear.
This is a good video game because it work's with play station 2, game boy advanced. This game is 30.00 dollars at wal-mart. The rating of this game is E for everyone. Kids younger than 6 years of age might get a little scared. If you like action I would highly recommend this for you.
Once you play this game you will feel that you're a real wizard. Get on your toes and go to wal-mart. Cast that first spell, but be careful don't hit anyone. In addition to all this you might want to try out this game. Don't forget this game is rated "E" for everyone. Hope you have a fun adventure.

After purchasing the other 2 Harry Potter games for PC I find the 3rd game to be the best. Issues such as difficulty saving games and very annoying chocolate frogs are solved in this game and small details like the ability to skip some cut scenes and a bonus bean room make Prisoner of Azkaban move quickly and with a great deal of fun.

There are joint spells, Fred and George's shop and a flying hippogriff challenge that, while fairly tough, is very enjoyable. The graphics move much more smoothly and EA Games seems to have mastered things like flowing robes and mouths that match words. All in all, very happy with this one.

Better and Better

This game is unlike the others. It is a lot more fun and interesting! You start out in a train where all the students have something to say. You are already battling monsters and exploring the train. After that you start lessons and you get to be all the characters! You do so many things and a lot of it you can do over and over. So buy the game, pleasant encounters await you!

Very well done

This was an excellent game. It's maybe a bit too easy, but that's all. I thought it was very well done because there are so many little sub-games and so many little successes that you can have in the game that you never get bored. It's really my sister's, but I am hooked. :)

The Best One Yet!

The grapics are so good that you can actually see every detail in the persons face! I will buy it the SECOND it comes out!
