Falling short of its predecessor in almost every way

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban could have been a mediocre game. There are some strong points, such as flying Buckbeak and great graphics, but there are so many things that are surpassed by the Chamber of Secrets that this game is at best only a vain attempt to live up the previous game. The story is almost entirely told not by the player but by the cutscenes have the same problem with the related movie: overacting (facial expressions are WAYYY too dramatic and character voice is overdue). The characters are annoying with their goofy movements and good-for-nothing lines, and I couldn't care less if my character is killed in the middle of the mission. The gameplay is smooth, though, but not as good as in the Chamber of Secrets (e.g. Harry cannot run around and cast spells at the same time). The levels are far less creative and complex than the ones in the previous game, and the numbers of them is even more pathetic. With just two non-class levels, I suddenly found near the end of the game. Overall, this game makes the player do a number of semi-related stuff without making them feel being an actual part of the game. It is much simpler, to be sure, but does that really matter? I beat the game within 24 hours (I repeat, 24 hours for a person who has serious problem playing Jedi Outcast), and I feel far less satisfied than I was when I completed other harder games.

I don't think I really care about playing as Hermione or Ron, either because the characters are really annoying, or this is just a bad game. I was really happy when I just played as Harry in the previous games.

Fun,and frustrating.

This game is awesome except for one minor thing. It freezes A LOT. You'll be in the middle of an important thing in the game when it freezes, you have to restart the computer and start your big event ALL OVER AGAIN. This has happened to me so many times and I am starting to get frustrated. And it's not just me either. My friend has this same game and it happens to her too. My advice: Every day, play until you get to a savebook. Then turn off the game and don't play it fot the entire day. Repeat until you have finished the game. Hope I helped!

Harry gets the firebolt at christmas the firebolt is the fastest broomstick in the wizarding world It probblay goes 50-200 MPH that would be really fast and the nimbus 2001 I think goes 40-100 MPH the nimbus 2001 can't stop the firebolt IT would look like a joke next to the firebolt in the 3rd game ther firebolt is going to be fast in the quidditch match aginst slytherin you may be able to fly the firebolt around the castle grounds like you can do whith the hippogriff the best part of the game will be the firebolt I am a relly big harry potter fan I bet I will enjoy the game I think It will be awsome bye for now peace out bye

Many advances in the third installment of the Harry Potter series. The first two in the series were basically identical in look and play, but the third has a totally different look and feel. The movement is much smoother and more lifelike and game play is faster. Particularly when wall sneaking.
I have not finished the game so I'm not sure if they are right about it being short, but after two games it is pretty easy to figure out how to get through each level. Still am enjoying it.

Good: The character designs & textures were much better...& there were no glitches! Finally! The reward count is far more generous, & it's got Weasley Twins big time!As usual, the voices matched the movies vey well. Harry looks pretty bishie, but that's the deepest voice I've ever heard from a 13 year old. If you love video games & suck at them so bad that even a 5 year old can beat you, you will just barely manage to pass this game not cheating & only minor stress. (the Dementor part is a real pain in the fingers.)

Bad: The castle looked TOO different & was much smaller. No debug cheat to explore with....no cheats at ALL actually, not that the scheduling system the game runs on doesn't allow much for exploring. Too many locked door that never get unlocked, no Potions Class, no Hogsmede, No Snape >.< The main characters hair colors are incorect. If you're very good at games, this game will be a cakewalk & barely challenging. The feeling you get watching Ron accidently jump to his death durring a challenge is more impressive than the design for the dementors.

Overall, it's a piece of good fandom, a little eye candy, & something to hold you off untill you buy another PC game, you packrat gamer you ^_~

Okay I admit I do not have the game yet but... I know a way to make more game play. From what I have read you can't leave the game until you collect every thing right? Well all you have to do is cram as much exploring in between classes! (like visit madam pomfre of lurk behind dumbledor!) Trust me it works!

The HP game RULE but from what I heard people are just ticked off the game is short and they cut stuff out. if the graphics gameplay and Challengaes are good don't whine have fun the game sounds wicked and I'm looking forward to my copy arriving and if it does stink I will post that.

I haven't personally played it yet, but from everything that I've read and/or heard its the best one yet! Better grapics, Character switches, new challenges! This game is going to be amazing! The grapics are so good that you can actually see every detail in the persons face! I will buy it the SECOND it comes out!
