I bought this game and it could have been alot better! For example, in the beginning on the Hogwarts Express, You already know 5 out of the 10 spells!! But, I have to say, what is really cool, is that you have to take final exams!! In the Draconifors exam, there are 3 gates, 2 containing challenge shields and 1 leading on to continue the challenge. I don't know how to get the other challenge shield, and it is like there is no way to get it!
Otherwise, this game is good, but ends too quickly, and is too easy. Also, to beat the game, you need to complete your achievements list. There are things on there that I don't know where you get checked off. The LOADING GAME screen displays hints, but is up for proably 45 seconds. (I'm not sure, cuz I am using Windows 98, and I don't look at the clock cuz I'm waiting for the game to come back.)
Hints:
1.In the library, when you are looking for the hippogriff book, transfigure a Draconifors dragon, get the fireball pickup and go into the room with the couchs. Light the fireplace with fire
2. In the Glacius challenge, where there is a small platform with 2 Depulso knights, and pixies, use depulso on the knights, and look for a small staircase going down. Follow it,and you get a challenge shield. (I missed it the first time and did it again. i got all 10 shields.
Wow.

I love this game! I have all the HP movies and all the games! This one is my favorite, though. I like how the only treats are not just beans. I got a little tired of them. I think the beans in the 3rd game are more realistic cause they are smaller. And then there are pumpkin pasties. And cauldron cakes. I also likethis game because you can play as all 3 characrs. How Are those "realistic and beautiful" graphics? My game looks very fuzzy and does not have those wonderfull graphics. I don't think my computer can really support them. hmm. I love prof. lupin's carpe retractum challenge! You have to dangle over bottomless plunges, though. The bean bonus room is where all the beans live. The draconifors-lapifors challenge is really cool. You get to play as a charmed dragon or rabbit. In the glacius challenge you slip and slide on icy drops and teeter over bridges over bottomless gorges. Also, you can explode imps. Hermionie's cat,Crookshanks, causes alot of trouble. The secret places out on the grounds are-oh! I have to leave! See ya! -Alek Salka

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was defintely a good game, but it had sone downfalls. The graphics were awesome, Fred and George's shop was defintely a convienence, and you got to switch characters, but some other things just weren't as good as the previous games.
- Harry was followed around the whole time in the castle and on the grounds. This was very annoying because every step Harry took there was pitter pats behind him.
- It was just plain easy! The dementors couldn't kill you, if you fell you lost a millimeter of stamina, and Choclate Frogs boosted your energy by 50%!
- You had to finish everything before you could end the game i.e get all 10 challenge shields, perfect all hippogriff courses, battle and defeat pixies and monster pages of books.
The game was fun though. Some things were really cute, the spells were cool, and Harry's Glacius challenge was really fun.(you get to slide on ice and defeat salmanders). Harry said erm alot though.(erm,I better use the glacius spell, erm Hermione we aren't done yet, erm I'll guess I'll take it and so on) The game is defintely worth buying and playing for a little while.
Third Game in Series is a BIG disappointment!!

I had so much fun playing the first two games, Sorcerer's Stone and the Chamber of Secrets. Each one was harder than the first. I was anxiously waiting for the Prisoner of Azkaban to come out!! I could have saved my money. It was a terrible game. Not one trip to Hogsmeade and before you know it, you have completed the game and...nothing. The Bean Room is great and I'm glad they don't have so much flying. I didn't like the inside of the castle either. I will rent the next one before I buy it.
Fun but too short and easy

I bought this game and was very excited to play it. However, after playing it for a short while I realized that it was going to be a short game and that it is much easier than the Chamber of Secrets. I was a little disappointed in it, there is no Quitich, which there should be, and it did not follow the book very well.
I would play it again but when they make the next game for the forth movie I hope they take a little from the chamber of secrets and the prisoner of azkaban, to make a great game!!
This game is amazing, but its predecessor is better.

This game is not as long as Chamber, but it is still extremely enjoyable.
The downs-
1. There are not as many chances too explore.
2. You feel tired with challenge after challenge. There aren't many breaks and side quests.
3. The whole environment is not as lively.
4. You can only trade wizard cards.
5. You cannot make potions.
6. There isn't much motivation to collect the cards.
7. No Quidditch
8. No dueling.
9. Secrets not so cleverly placed.
10. You do not get to choose who you want to be.
The ups-
1. There is a great variety of cards to collect- wizard, witch, hag, vampire, dragon etc.
2. You can revisit challenges.
3. The grounds are much better.
4. Before each challenge, you do not have to master the spell symbol.
5. I love Lapifors and Draconifors spells.
6. There is transfiguration.
7. The Bean Bonus Room is amazing.
8. Many more floors in the great hall.
9. Fred and George's Shop is great.
10. You can collect pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes and beans for currency.
11. Portrait Passwords are great fun.
12. Good change to be Ron and Hermione sometimes.
13. Many creatures and amazing spells.
All in all, this game is fabulous, and if you don't have it, you MUST buy it.
Different (but not necessarily better) than the Console version

I originally got this game for Gamecube, and after completing that version, I decided to get the PC version because I heard that it was different.
The layout of the castle is COMPLETELY different from the Gamecube version. The layout of the casle in the Gamecube version seems to be based more on the movie than anything else, but it seems like the makers of the game used their imaginations more when the designed the PC version. Also, there are different spells, and different items to collect. However, I liked the Gamecube version better (I don't know about the PS2 or X-box versions because I don't have them).
The Gamecube version was more challenging, flowed more smoothly, and lasted longer. The PC version, on the other hand, was too easy (I completed it the same day that I got it) and seemed to consist mostly of running around collecting Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and other items. The PC version was also kind of frustrating because there were lots of characters that encouraged you to explore, but you could never find time to explore because you had to go to class and what have you. Only when you get to the end of the game can you explore freely. In the Gamecube version, you can explore at the end of every day. That was another thing that frustrated me about the PC version; it felt like the story took place over one long day.
One thing that I liked better about the PC version was the graphics. The Gamecube version's graphics were a very low quality and looked rather rushed. The PC version's graphics, on the other hand, were very richly detailed. But graphics, in my opinion, are very unimportant when it comes to video games.
My final suggestion: If you want a game with good graphics, get the PC version. If you want a good game in general, get the Console version.
Stupid dementors...

I love it but the castle is annoying. There are so few secrets..in 10 mintues I found them all. I cant get past the anti-dementor lesson, Im down to the part where you have to fight like 3-4 REAL dementors! You have no choise! And when Hermonie says 'Driconifors' she sounds like shes asking it all around...
Good things:
Its fun for a while
Harry is HOT!
Bad things:
The castles too small
There arent enough secrets
You have no choise with alot of stuff
Ron looks like his head is a box.
Sorry I wasted my money

After playing the Chamber of Secrets game I was really looking forward to this one coming out and I think I was one of the first to buy it, but there is no story to it and it is way to short and the challenges are way to simple. I am a 67 year old grandmother and had no trouble finishing the game. It just wasn't fun. I was also annoyed at having three characters running around together. If you haven't played the Chamber of Secrets game, play that and you will see what I mean.
Forget the game - read the book!

So there is soooo many other cool item that EA could have included in this video game to make it even more fun, but no. Only 3 levels really of challenges and 3 final exams. It's cool to go around finding the cards and secret password but other than that, they didn't do much of anything other than really really nice graphics. If you like the two previous games, you'll be sad by this game.
