Honestly, it did.
I'm the sort of person who takes ideas and runs with them and let me tell you, Final Fantasy X gave me a whole new world to base my imagination around. The characters, the aeons, the music, they were all brilliant to me and changed me as a person.
This is the best game I have ever or will ever play.
Very highly recommended, obviously.

Without a Doubt, FFX is one of the best, if not the best, rpgs to come out on any of the current consoles. It features an incredible and orignal story populated with interesting and varied characters. Additionally, the sphere-gird system allows the player to develop character abilites in an interesting and innovative manner. Admittedly, the sphere-grid system complexilty may scare away rpg newbies, but with a little time will become second nature to players of all skill levels. Featuring a wonderful score (even by Final Fantasy standards)and impressive graphics (for the PS2) there is little reason for any video game fan not to pick up this title, even with the ever-present advent of FF 12 on the horizon.
An Amazing Adventure!!!!

This game is simply beautiful on all fronts. The story is on par with FF7. Character development is another great addition to this game. Graphics are amazing to say the least. Story is filled with good drama that was well thought out.The gameplay is good as well. you have to increase your powers by fighting, but you rarely get a break. I loved the fact they out a language in the game.It makes for a great experience in the game. The Al-Bhed language is strange at first and non-understandable. I got fed up trying to find every book so I got a gameshark and put in the Al-Bhed language code. Made it easier to understand certain events. Its a greatest hit for a reason.
Pretty cool.

Pretty snazy game if I do say so myself. Though, not exactly the best game ever made, nor is it the worst. It was better then average.
Postitive:
-The characters, though not exactly complex, are intresting and likable.
-The story, while may be bland at first, unfolds as you continue. -The grid sphere adds a new depth in customizing your character.
-FF's music is always superb and FFX was no exception.
-I liked the idea of not traveling on a world map. It offered something different.
-The graphics was a huge plus. I am not one who prefers graphics over gameplay (but vice versa) but the graphics in FFX in both cut-scene and actual gameplay was phenominal. The "Yuna Sending" scene was spectacular.
Negative:
-The voice acting was mind-splitting. I didn't mind the voices for Yuna, Rikku, and LuLu since they basically fit the characters. However, the rest (Tidus, Wakka, Auron, Kihimari) were, in my opinion obnoxious, awkward for the character, and mind aching. Tidus was to whiny and annyoing. Wakka was just stereotypical for the character as was Kihimari (when he talked), and I couldn't help but hear Auron in a Japanese voice rather then an English.
-It seemed like bosses would pop out from nowehere and have no connection to the story.
Overall, it's a great game for the FF series and lives up to that prestigious name.
Another Gem.

As usual, the Final Fantasy line lives up to the name. I have been a huge fan, all the way back to FF1 on the NES console. Surprisingly, for me though, as I'm not too big of a fan of linier gameplay, i'd much rather choose my own fate, and go my own way. Nonetheless, I was completely engrossed in this game, from day one. The stunning visual effects, the faces of old coming back for more, made me think to past FFs, and re-live that story again.
For me, the biggest thing about the FF series is the connection you almost have to feel with the characters. I'm not one to usually get too deep into a book, or a movie, or any other work where characters are portrayed, but in FF, I truly feel the characters, their struggles, the heart ache, and the joy when something happens for the good of the world, or should I say Spira?
FF-X holds me in its grasps every time I run through the story. Every time I see our favorite summoner perform the sending for the first time, I get chills. The game, though laughable sometimes, has an outstanding story line, which always keeps me asking for more, even though I know what lies ahead.
I was a bit behind on this one though. It's been a few years since I last played a FF game, but catching up has been fun, re-learning the story line has been a blast. All in all, FF-x is great, I would recommend it to any fan of the series, or linier RPG game play.
Final Fantasy Again? ....YES!

Some people get tired of a genre. For that matter, sometimes a genre wears itself out. Not so with the incredibally detailed, rich worlds that SquareSoft puts out, especially in their Final Fantasy games - and this one is no exception.
While the US version of the game will not come out until shortly after Christmas, 2001, there have been enough previews, pictures, and import copies to convince even the least intense Final Fantasy fan that this is, indeed, an episode not to be missed; the graphics and music are unmatched by any game yet on the market, and the story alone - intensely detailed and rich - is worth the price of admission.

I have the demo of this game and its amazing! I can't stop playing this demo. The graphics are very cool. Gameplay is fast and good. The music and sounds are excellent. This is the first Final Fantasy game that you can actual hear them talk unstead of reading what they saying. The only thing thats wrong with the game is the english dubbing. But you'll get use to it. The game is only one disc. But don't worry, its a DVD ROM. So its about over 40 hours long. DVD ROM is like 4.7 gigabytes of space (which is more than four discs) and the orginal Playstation one disc are like 700 megabytes of space (which makes 2.7 gigabytes with four discs). So it is going to be a long game. I can't wait for this game to come out. A must have for all RPG fans.
Final Fantasy X...... please......

this game is dumb and the people who like it just like the same thing over and over again (u just use the same spells and stuff). The only fun thing about is Blitz ball, and that is were the 1 star comes in! so here is a warning to all rpgers out there, stay away from this game cause if u buy it, you just wasted money. Instead of this, buy Golden Sun for the GBA or Final Fantasy Chronicles (Chrono Trigger is the BEST!!!) for the PS1.
