Diablo II is simply one of the most addictive gaming experience you will ever have. Like Diablo, the interface is extremely easy to get used to, so you can concentrate on your adventure without worrying about the controls. Even though the graphics look much like the original, the art work in Diablo is definitely praise-worthy. Each act looks unique conpared to the other ones. The five classes provide you with a wide range of abilities and attributes to develop and use against the evil forces. One major minus though: unlike Diablo, you cannot really save in Diablo 2. When you do save and exit, the monsters regenerate themselves. This forces you to finish the fight once you start it. Other than this inconvenience, Diablo 2 is definitely one of the best action-RPG game ever.
masterful. One of the best RPGs on the PC to date

Blizzard, which released the groudbreaking RPG Diablo some years ago, is back. And they're back by kicking some serious arse.
The graphics of the whole game are above average, and the cinematics is amazing. The plot is orthodox, but it managed to get me hooked nevertheless. Even the research behind it managed to impress me, which doesn't happen too often.
The characters, my personal favorite being the Amazon (I love archers ^_^), offers a wider range of choices than it predecessor, which is most definitely a good thing.
Diablo II is the kind of game that would get your adrenaline pumping, at least as pumped as videogames can get you. It's pretty easy to get used to, whether or not you played Diablo before. I highly recommend it. :D

Diablo 2 is the very best RPG game, and probably the best game Blizzard has made. It's a huge universe full of items, monsters, skills, and quests to find and finish. Diablo has returned again... and this time he is better than ever. This game requires true skill to master. Unlike the first Diablo, more of the graphics change when you have different weapons and armor (when you put a cap on, the graphic changes to your character with a cap.) Choose the five character classes, each with 30 different skills. It is a long game to last, including 4 acts and 3 diffucutly levels to complete. Multiplayer is the bomb, you can make your actual character say 7 different sayings, their voices adjusting to the character class. As always, you can also type messages to friends. A good addition to multiplayer: the monsters get double hard for each player that joins a mulitplayer game. Also be sure to pick up the expansion!
A whole lot of fun

Diablo II is a great game if you want a game where you can run around hacking and slashing creatures without having to put too much thought into it, but I guess no-one expected otherwise.
The graphics have undergone only a slight improvement from the original, but that is about the only criticism that can be levelled.
The animated scenes are excellent, the storyline is very good, the gaming interface is vastly improved, including a more friendly "quick-use" potion system, improved and more varied items including "slotted" items which can be improved by inserting different gems depending on the result you are after.
Interface improvements aside, Blizzard have more or less picked up where the original left off in terms of gameplay, which suits me just fine. So if you liked the original Diablo, or if you haven't played it but are looking for a game to blow off some steam, this is the one!
The Beta version alone is well worth the price tag!

I have played in both beta test of this great game. Both of the beta tests have been watered down greatly from what the original will be, and is FANTASTIC. The bare bones of the game could be a big seller, but Blizzard gives you at least 50 times more than you bargained for. If you ask me this is the best game Ever. If you have ever played the Original Diablo and you thought that it was good, You will laugh at yourself when you play Diablo 2. You will not understand how you have EVER played Diablo 1.
This is what I waited so long for?

Well after about 2 years of delays to get it right you'd think this game would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Blizzard is one of those companies that I hold to a little higher standard. In my book, they have fallen a little short. There are no glaring flaws with the game, but it just isn't the next step I'd hoped it would be. Sure there are nice additions like a few more skills, being able to run, and a stash chest, but it's the same depth lacking RPG the first one was just with a few additions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slamming the game. It is a very DECENT game; it's just not a great game. If you like myself have been burned out on Diablo for years and were hoping that DII could rekindle the flame, I believe you are going to be disappointed. If you're looking for some easy hop right in point, click, and slash action then this is for you. If you're looking for Diablo but with more depth and more emmersive game play, then you may want to pass it by. If I were on a limited budget and needed a gaming fix, I'd look elsewhere first.

Diablo II has a very absorbing gameplay, you just wanna keep on going till it's finished.
I suggest that we email each other our characters so we can have a go at playing a specific class at a high level. Just go to C:program files/Diablo II/Save then attach. It only takes around 300 kb so your email can easily handle it. Then download, copy them to your own save files in Diablo II---viola, now you have another high ranking character to toy around with.
I emailed my Level 35 Necromancer to my friend and he emailed me his Level 24 Paladin. It's so much more fun playing a character in very high levels---the results are devastating! If any of you are interested in exchanging characters my email is sohchiun@nightmail.com
I implore all of you to try Necromancer at Level 25 and above, nobody can stand a chance if he specializes in Iron Maiden + Bone Spike + Summon Blood Golem

I have been playing the beta of this game like mad. Through sleepless nights, and long days - I've played this game longer than some other games I've had for quite awhile. You must buy this game - you'll regret it if you don't! There is a good reason why there have been 1.5 million copies already sold so far - let's keep that number climbing!
