Soul Calibur 2 is the best melee fighting game I have played. So you might be asking "Why give it 4 stars then" there are a few reasons. One being Weapon Master mode takes only about 12 hours to beat (If ur an average gamer rather than "addicted"). Another being it gets realy repetitave realy fast (although the main point is the 2 player) There are an incredible 230 weapons! Overall this is a great game and i would suggest buying it.

good but...

ok this game is increadably fun for the first hour but after that it just hard and boaring. But if you have a friend sibbling ect and you like fighting games this is the game to get. it has a great vs and vs team mode but weppen master mode sucks the only point to use weppen master mode is to get the hidden charators. you shoud buy this game if you have more then one kid in the house because of multi player mode.

This game is way cool!!!

I play the arcade version all the time! And I am addicted to it. I can't wait till the XBox version comes out. Not too sure about the new characters (Spawn, Zelda,et al) but we'll see. The graphics are the best I've seen, it really adds a 3D element to the game. Sometimes it almost looks as though you are watching an 3D animated film. Each character is different with different skills, weapons and appearence. There are only one or two minor glitches, ie the weapon goes right through a person and doesn't register a hit, but those are small items. And the only other main annoyance is the Weaponmaster mode. You have to go through all diffent kinds of combats and often don't unlock anything at the end. It was very frustrating, a waste of time. And, of course, the female characters are all well endowed, very anatomically correct, so if you're some feminist ... you should stay away. One of my all time favorite games, and I've played games since the early days of Pac-man and Pong (wokka wokka).

The Greatest fighting game of the Yeat

This is a great title, and possibly the best fighter on all 3 consoles. Even though it has been a while since the last game this feels like Soul Calibur 1.5. Most of the characters are the same or are based on characters from the first title. This gives the game a rehash feeling but all the new modes seem to expand the experience. The modes allow for a lot of replay value and the fighters are so varied in their styles that the game never gets old. This is the game that all other fighters willbe compared to from now on.

Great game with some caveats...

First off I do love this game. The graphics and charaters are awesome. And the fact that you can change weapons and characters is really cool. And I won't go on about how cool this game is, that is pretty obvious.

Some gripes I have with the game. The manual doesn't give you much info on the characters moves. And the practice mode doesn't help you learn them. You basically have to mash buttons to figure out special moves and so forth. Also while its fun to unlock stuff and run around in Weapons Master Mode it can be a bit trite and gets old. But you have to do it to unlock characters and weapons.

That aside this game is the best Fighting game to date. Worth the wait and price.

This... is... GREAT!

This is a very great Arcade Fighting game! This has role play action (weapon master), your good old Arcade mode, and some other great features. The graphics are a good way to buy this game. And last but not least, the characters. They are what you want! Anything from demonds, warriors, and others!

Sole Calibur 2 ROCKS!!!
