Right game, wrong platform

The most intriguing aspect of SC2 is the inclusion of the console-specific special characters. That being the case, there is no cooler sword-wielding hero than Link, the GCN special character. Call me what you will, but seeing the little green dude go from 8-bit stabbing to crossing swords with the Soul Calibur crew will be the greatest joy in this game, even if Nintendo insists on reducing Link to a...little kid in their own games. I could get the game for multiple systems, I suppose, but don't you think that would be just a LITTLE overboard?

...this game been in the arcade for month, that version is incredible i can only imagine what the home system version is like, if they made it better than the arcade machine as they did for sega dreamcast soul calibur, wich is by far the best game other than halo. 5 stars greatest game of all time up there with chess and foosball.

I have Soul Calibur I,it is a great game, Soul Calibur II is even better! GET THIS GAME! It's been called "the best fighting game EVER"

Soul calibur 2 is a great fighting game for gamers who are experienced in these types of game. I have played it for all three systems and the X-Box version has got to be the best. Secret character Spawn is a great addition to the SC crew. The X-Box has the best controller, because it is similar to the DC. This game rocks the HIZZLE FO SCHIZZLE!!!

I got this game as soon as it came out and it is sooooo good. $... is a lot of money but you can get it for Christmas.(as a parents note to know if this is an okay game for your child it is, there are a few reaviling costumes on some females but you can change the costume by pressing the Y button) I never did play the first soul caliber but I bet this one tops it. Weapon Master mode is the best mod ever, I only wish you could save where you are in the dunguns. this game is a 6/5 i think. Get the game.

I agree that controlling this game is great, but I also put a lot of weight to how the characters look like. Imagine playing Dead or Alive with Kasumi with a pair of baggy pants, flat boobs and short hair. Yucky right? Well, the women and men in Soul Calibur 2 look friggin ugly. Spawn and Necrid look awesome, even when they look ugly. I don't know how to explain it. The characters look like they came from a 90s video game. Even the old characters like Mitsurugi and Xiang Hua lost their polished look. I dare you to compare how the characters looked from the first one to this new one. The difference is astonishing. I think I'll trade mine at Ebay or something.

Having spent countless hours with the original Dreamcast SC1, I had doubts that Namco would be able to replicate that kind of replay value four years later with SC2. Well, after a weekend with the Xbox version I can safley say Namco has struck gold twice. Now I know many of you wanted a whole new list of characters for this game, but in the end I see the revamped characters from SC1 as old friends with a few new tricks. But the few new characters they have are awesome. I've played all three versions and like the Xbox best of all. Also, dispite popular belief the visuals are a huge improvement from what was already a visually stunning original. If you want a good fighting game that will leave you with little free time on your hands this is it.

soulcalibut 2 is one of the finest game ever for one reason it actually gives you a visual representation on how different weapns function under combat conditions granted some are exatterated but the style and function are the same right down to the handling look at nightmare for example could you swing a sword that bitg with that much accuracy? no you can t also talims moves are based on actuall police nightstick training some have been changed to suit the game but the level of realism right down to thw weapons is astounding kudos to namco for doing their reasearch for functionallity for real life and for incorporating it into the game

Boy oh boy as if SC 1 wasn't enough, namco delivers again with the much anticipated sequal and it sure does deliver. although the graphics havents stepped up much if any it still runs the smoothest then the other systems. (PS2 SUX!) the only thing that falls short is the sountrack. the orchestra from the first SC was superb. it went with all the action and made it intense. im not saying the music is bad in this game. it definately is not, but it just isnt as good as the first. i love game music and nothing can beat soul calibur 1 for soundtracks. you gotsta get this game!!!

Graphics are awesome, different game modes are fun, but if you are not really into fighting games then it will get boring pretty quick. I thought I would give this game a chance and didnt let me down. Overall good game.
