DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED

I am an adult female who has played the original Zoo Tycoon since it first came out, and no one could have been more excited than me when I learned about Zoo Tycoon 2. Imagine my disappointment when, after playing the game for about 2 weeks, I was amazed to find myself thinking more and more about the original game, comparing it to the newer one. So I went back and played it again, something I hadn't done for quite some time, and fell in love with the original game all over again.

I hate the fact that you have to feed the animals, I hate the fact that you have to clean up after them most of the time, and I HATE the peafowls. I loved making marine and dinosaur parks, and 2 does not allow you to do this yet. Perhaps when that happens, the game will be better, but for now, I can't tell you how disappointed I am in it. I especially don't care for the different buildings, even though there are more of them they all look alike to me, and why didn't they at least put in some things for an amusement park?

I have recently put the thing away on my bookshelf and am playing the original only. Very sad.

I spent 1 and 1/2 hours Christmas day with Microsoft Tech suppport because the program would not work. They could not solve the problem. The technician said that they would call me back at 9:00 AM the following day after he had an opportunity to check with the supervising technicians. Of course, the call never came. What a wonderful way to spend Christmas. I am returning the program to Amazon and am also returning the endangered species and Marine add ons.

Zoo Tycoon 2 has one of the greatest first-person perspective of all tycoons games I played so far. The graphics are wonderful and you feel like you are actually visiting a real zoo at times. Very fun to play!

My 5 year old daughter LOVES this game!! You can play with unlimited money too so she can build anything she wants and never have to worry about running out of money.

This game is very addicting. The only bad part of this game is that there are a limited number of animals. Overall this is a great game!

A young person's imagination knows no bounds with this game. Phenomenally excellent graphics. Children learn the concept of running a business that when uniquely combined with exotic animals & backdropped in various exciting geographical locations makes for hours and hours of fun and challenges.

Everyone MUST buy this! It`s so cool! You make cages and put the right terrain in and plants, trees, ect. Then you put the animal in the cage. Hire a zookeeper, a trash cleaner, and an educator. Place some benches and tables anywhere you want them. TIP! You HAVE to put the staff center up! Or else the workers will sit on the guest`s bench! Place food stands, drink stands, and restrooms. Add fountains, bouncy rides, ect for amusement. Keep adding on and you will have a zoo! (I love the Polar Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

this is an inproved version of Zoo Tycoon with a vast selection of animals,thing to care for the animals with and scenery as well. I enjoy the feature where you can enter you own park as a guest and be a zookeeper yourself! you can name you animals as well as see how happy they are.you can also um... pick up there dropings,wash your animals and refill the food dishes. I warn you though, animals can die so just don't don't put the monkey with the crocodile,it's not a good idea. if you put the monkey in the monkey cage you'll be fine.this is a good game for animal lovers,people that want a pet or want to be a zookeeper when they grow up.

With excellent 3D graphics and lots of options for customization and themes in your zoo, this game should be good for many hours of entertainment. I'd highly recommend it for parents to play with their kids.

Beware though, this game's advertised minimum requiements (XP/2K/ME, 733MHz, 900MB, 16M 3d video) are likely the BARE MINIMUM required to get the application to run. My own system far outstrips these (P4 3.2GHz, 2GB Ram, 256MB GeForce 5) and I have found the game a bit laggy once the zoo reaches a certain size. Expect random crashes too, although not often enough for me to stop playing.

This is my second tycooon game after Lemonade Tycoon, and it is GREAT!! You build your own zoo, and take care of animals, scoop poop, feed, water, bathe, play, etc. You have to in a way take care of the guests when you open the zoo however. There has to be enought bathrooms, restaurants, desert stands, donation boxes, resting places, etc. for them to comfortably have fun. I like playing the free-form game , with unlimited money. It can get a litte boring after awhile, so make another zoo from scratch! Just remember to keep your animals, and guests happy. Make educational habitats and nice decorations and your up for the game! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

p.s. The animals breed and die faster than reality.
