Having played Rainbow six games since they cane on the market then progressing onto Ghost Recon I found it a bit of a re-learning experience. No more blasting away but using your stealth to get around the game.
Graphics, sound and control are great, was a bit wary at first that the controls would be a bit complicated but its easy to pick up, passed through the training which I dont normally bother with and it helped a lot.
Still getting wasted before I should but just have to get back in the stealth Groove.
Great Game

I find the game very challenging. You can only save twice within levels and if you shut the power off, you lose the within mission saves and must start the mission again. This leads the game to have an addictive quality as you try to complete a mission before having to shut the XBox off. Great game.
Very good game

Very good game, better than Ghost recon and SOCOM, but not as good as Splinter Cell. I love how you can be looking at a door and tell your teammates what to do. It is very easy to get used to the controls of this game but the game is kind of difficult and you have to move along at a slow pace, but overall this game is very fun.

Playing RB63 is pretty tence, it has realistic gun fire, exposions, And when something go's off by you, your ears ring instead of sounding like your under water like "ghost recon".
It has good blood spatter effecs, pluse bullets tears through doors as easy as it tears through the A.I., Tell your team too blow open a door, or simply tell them to open a door and throw a frag in. go through 14 levels with Desert Eagles, G3A3S, MP5S, or even sniper rifles.
How much better can it get, lots! Play with a head set too yell at your A.I. teammates, or at someone on XBOX LIVE.
This is a must buy game! if you can't offord it, THEN YOU MUST RENT!

Don't know why it's taken me so long to do a review on this particular game, but here goes:
Whilst there are issues with the AI and issuing commands to your team members, overall this is a great game.
It's not the same tactical shooter that some of the previous Rainbow Six games have been, but graphically it is one of the great Xbox games.
This is a great game for those who just want to get in and start shooting and blowing things up, the tactical part can be thin in many areas, but a few areas lend themselves to good planning and execution.
I've played the game through two times, but never finished it. The last mission is the only one I didn't like.
*minor spoiler alert*
The final mission seems to me to be more of something I would expect to find in Splinter Cell rather than a tactical shooter and doesn't do it as well as Splinter Cell.
Overall this is one of the better games on Xbox and is highly recommended.
Beautiful tactical shooter

A lot like Ubi's other tactical shooter franchise (Ghost Recon) except for whatever reason, they employ native voice actors throughout this franchise's history (they also sound French or German in this one)...goofy. "Roger...Open UND clear" Playable on the 360. If you have Vegas, give it a try, it ain't bad.
The Best FPS on Xbox...well at least until Nov. 9th!

I just bought this game a couple of days ago without renting it first because of the $20 price tag and the fact that I heard it was the best shooter game out right now. I am sure glad I made this purchase, because this game rocks. The single player mode seems okay, but I have been hooked on Multiplayer deathmatches and team games for the last two days. The graphics are some of the best I have seen and the sound effects are combat realistic. This game is a must buy at $50, so getting it for $20 is a no-brainer.

The only reason I give this game 3 stars, is because the single player mode sucks, and the online mode gets really repetative. But you get to meet all kinds of different people. So in the end, if you don't have X-Box Live, then don't buy this game.

This game is the best as far as the Rainbow Six story goes, with some of the same flaws as the other games, including the notorious online lag. Every Tom Clancy first person shooter made for online play has lag in it for some strange reason, but some of us are lucky enough to find a game without it. As for the single player? Fun, but extremely hard, even on the easy difficulty level. It took me about 10 times to beat the last few levels.
+ Online Play, just don't use the 50 caliber "newbie cannon" sniper rifle, or you'll get ragged on or booted
+ Always a game in every catagory opened online, so you'll find something you like.
+ Graphics almost as good as Splinter Cell.. almost.
+ Sounds are great, although there should be an option to turn off the music while in the lobby to a game.
+ Lips move when you talk with the communicator!
+ Lots of Live maps, with more on the way!
- That d*mn lag. Only on Live though, not in single player.
- A few bugs in multiplayer, like the 2 minute map switch time that usually drops or freezes a player when it finally loads.
- Almost unrealistic bullets/gun physics, if you're not right on target the first shot, don't expect the gun to correct it for you, even though with the way it jumps around, it should. Also, even if you rip someone's stomach/back to shreds, they won't die. D*mn BP vests. Headshots work though, when you can get them.
