The best game

This is a very cool game iv'e played the fist one and I can not wait untill the secound one comes out.

"Shenmue 2" is a direct sequel to the first game Shenmue fans will recall the first game ended with Ryo leaving Japan for China on a ship, leaving us all hanging desperately for the next chapter to see what happens next. Part 2 picks up as the boat is coming into port in Hong Kong which ties the two games together perfectly. In fact it feels like the two games are just one enormous game they come together so well. The same adventure/fighting/quick timer event style gameplay is back but improved on in every area. The locations are far larger and more diverse than those in the first game .
you can read about all the various good things I find in it in this beautiful game
1. Graphics are even better, especially the character animations. Hong-Kong and other Chinese cities are meticulously detailed, the size and the realistic feeling of the world is truly amazing

2. The movement of the main character (Ryo) is somewhat smoother than in the first game.

3. The game world is larger.

4. The dialogues last longer and vary more

Hey guys. It's been over a year now since Shenmue 2 was released and I'm sick of waiting for another sequel. I can't wait any longer. We need some sort of an update on when the game will be comeing out so we have something to look forward to, I don't care if I have to wait I just want to know when the game comes out. Also if you haven't tried Shenmue than I would highly recommend this video game. It is one of my favorite video games that I have ever played and it just gives off so much real life freedom. Theres more frequent fight scenes and QTE scenes than the first that makes this game the total package! Ryo Hazuki explores 3 new places Hong Kong, Kowloon, and Guilen. Anyways if you haven't boughten this game yet, than you should right now! Believe me you wont be sorry!

I'm a little disappointed, but at least it's coming !

A year ago, I waited and waited for Shenmue II to come to the Dreamcast, but after I heard that it was cancelled because Yu Suzuki decided to port it over to the XBox, I was all but angry at Suzuki-san ! If it hadn't been for the cancellation for the North American DC Shenmue II, then perhaps the Dreamcast would be a more memorable machine before it died out in 2002. Now in November, Shenmue II is about to hit the shelves for the XBox only. And you can bet, it will be one of the greatest Sega titles to hit the XBox...of course, Sega will be making mostly XBox titles than just PS2, GC and GBA games ! From what I've heard from all of you, the game still retains its realism from the prequel and the QTE still exists ! And as always, Shenmue II's visuals will be served as eye-candy to the gamers who have stuck with the prequel and the European version of Shenmue II. This is yet another preview that I'm giving out ! When it comes out, expect an immediate review from yours truly ! Can't wait 'till it comes out !

Shenmue and its sequel are like having a real job...but even less fun. If tedious wandering and horrible dialogue are your forte, you might dig it. Everyone else: Save your money. Not even worth renting.

its exelent! just as good as first (but i liked the first a little better) u r trying to find a bad guy called Landi the grahpics are good could be better i recomend this game if u like some fighting and adveture

I like many others bought a Dreamcast just for Shenmue I and II. After playing one I thought it was the game of the year because I myself had not played anything like it before. Then when dc was killed and Shenmue II wasn't comming to the States I felt depressed.

I bought Shenmue II about 2 days ago and I am not totally happy with what I had bought. Everything I love from the old game is still there, but not much more. Yes I do see a little improvment in graphics, but could probably be more. They did also add new mini games which are fun and gambling. The fight system and QTE's are what really keep me playing. Towards the end the game gets somewhat challenging, but it takes a lot of time to get there.

Overall this game will be one of my favorites for X box even though the graphics arent at full potential, the acting and voices can get annyoing, and takes a long time to do things. For people looking at this game, it will probably be tough to like the second with out playing the first even with the movie that comes with the game.

shenmue 2 is the best game ever, period!!! don't laugh but i never played it BUT i do own shenmue 1 for dreamcast and i promise you that the second one will be even better. its so good im selling my dreamcast to by xbox and xbox is the only platform that carries this title. in #1 the game will keep u on your seat and never let you leave your controller. i guarantee that #2 will be at least 10x as good because #1 leaves off when ryo is leaving toward hong kong on a boat to find lan-di, the murderer of ryo's father. if you like role playing games with action, fighting, and never ending excitement buy this game you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this is a fun game. I never got tired of playing the 1St shenmue game. i am hoping to get to play the second part. Ryos is so cuteee................. It's a very fun game!!!!!!! I love this game but final fantsy is a llittle bit better......
