The game is Excellent. Excellent Graphics, amazing cars. The only bad thing is that you cant update your car like on Forza Motorsport but Ill give it a 5 star anyways! Online gaming experience is Excellent. You will not stop playing this game believe ME. Those who write those bad reviews whining about other stuff is all lies trust me. If you're an xbox and racing game fan, you should definetly buy this game..!

Alright the skinny is, if your looking for a great game to pass away the time for fable halo2 ect. this is the one... the graphics are insane, its the best xbox live game other than rainbow six 3. Even without multiplayer, the depth in the single player is insane!!! Well I strongly suggest at least renting it if you have half a brain>>Grrrrrr...Have to get every plantium.....

I enjoyed PGR1, and found this sequel to be very similar to it. The graphics and gameplay are pretty much the same, which is a good thing. There are new tracks/countries/cities to drive in, with opportunities to drive in both directions depending on which part of the game you're at (again, same as in PGR1). The radio is controlled the same as PGR1, so you can customize it to your liking, or else listen to the "radio", which is mostly that generic hip-hop crap and Durst-style yelling (as opposed to singing). The new cars are the best part of the game, of course. You start with only one class of vehicle, such as "sports coupe" or "roadster", and can only use/purchase other vehicles in that class until you win each challenge to advance to the next class. One downside is that in each class, there is generally one car that is marginally but clearly better than the rest, and so one just buys that car, wins the rest of the races, and does the same thing again in the next class. There is no incentive to buy any car except the one with the best stats in each class, and the difference in price ("kudos tokens") from the lamest to the best cars in each class is negligable. It would have been better to make the best cars in each class harder to earn. Still, after passing up on a much-wanted BMW Z4 and Nissan 350Z in real life, it was pretty cool to "own" them and drive around Italy recklessly with them thanks to this game.

PGR2 is the best racer on the Xbox and out for any system so far... PGR2 has over 190 detailed cars from the classic 1968 Trans Am to the newest cadillac XLR. The revolutionary part of the game gives you the ability to look around a show room in first- person mode and actually test drive the cars. the Kudos system from Metropolitan street racer for the Dreamcast and the first PGR is revamed allowing slight bumps from the surrounding enviorment. The other revolutionary aspect of this title is the ability to play against the ghosts of the top Xbox Live subscribers without connecting on to your Live account now thats differnt and cool. the graphics are great but in 720p they are breathtaking, the sound is hot with real radio stations from each of the beautifuly renderd cities the gameplay is just great with over months of replay value. overall, this game is amazing and is the best racer you will find on the xbox it is unhestitating to say that this is our version of Gand Turismo 3.

this is one of the best car racing game ive ever had!!!!! is sooo adicting. the graphics are extremly good! the gameplay is freaking good! and the cars.....love them!!!! they have every single car that i love. but beyond all that the details of the cars and the sound is just great.
but there is one really big big problem....ive did like more than 20 races and beat them all. but when ever i tried to go to the next race while is loading the game stops and says that is dirty or scrach. when i opened the xbox i didnt saw not even 1 little scrach. so i though it might be the console, but when i tried my other game that it was a lot lot more dirty then it is as the pgr2 it worked perfectly. i have lots of friends that have the same problem, that really turn me off!!!! careful this game is not well made!

Project Gotham Racing is a great game. It's fun, it's fantastic, and it looks stellar. It's everything you could ask for in a racing game.

Forza Motorsport vs. Project Gotham Racing 2

I bought this game because it was supposed to be better than Forza Motorsport, which I already played and liked, and I only had an xbox. I would have bought Forza Motorsport 2 if it were on xbox. The game has a pretty good array of cars but the game is more to complete challenges than to race. For example, the challenges that you have to complete are street race, one on one, cone challenge, hot lap, overtake, and speed camera. The races are only 5-10 minutes long if that. The goal is to get points doing different stunts like sliding. The courses are all in cities and you can't go off the road. The damage you take throughout the race does not effect your driving it only effects how many points you get. In conclusion I would rather have Forza than PGR 2.

LOVE this game...

This game turned me on to racing games. I love it, and the newer versions don't really do much more for me than this one. The music was great for it, too.
