The best racing game

This game is the best racing game ever!!! Dont go for grand turismo, nfs underground or mario kart, The game is a challenge on any mode of racing. Playing it on xbox live is the best thing since canned soup. Cars are very realistic. There are plenty of cars to choose from (i think its 106 ,give or take 2 or 3)they range from mazda miata to ferrari enzo, 1969 pontiac gto to 2004 porsche carerra gt and porsche cyanne to chevy ssr, (yess they do have suvs and pick up trucks too.) Oh ya ,and a word of caution, YOU WILL GET ADDICTED TO THIS GAME!!!!

It just doesnt get any better than online racing with Project Gotham 2. Without XBOX live, this is a decent game, fun to try and beat the game on the difficulty levels from easy to VERY difficult (known as platinum). but WITH xbox live, and the ability to race all the cars and all the tracks with tons of people LIVE is what makes this awesome. If youve got XBOX live, this is a no brainer for the price!

This game ups the ante from PGR1 considerably in several ways. The graphics are cleaner, shinier, less pixellated, and more detailed. Leaves swirl off trees and kick up off the road when the car in front of you drives across them.

The physics are more accurate here than any racing game I've played - your car will still show far less damage after a crash than an real-world car will show, but that just makes the game more fun and less frustrating.

The AI's present very realistic competition. They know the dirty tricks and how to impact your car just right to spin you out in a turn.

Then, the fact that PGR still includes a four-player split screen racing format is awesome. This is the racing game for your Xbox LAN party.

I am hooked on this game. Throttle stearing hard braking and exotic locations what else could you want.

PGR is a good multiplayer game but the turning level reaks when you're using a contoller playing against the X-Box. If you have a steering wheel, the game would be much more fun.

As with everybody else I agree that this game is top notch and full of excitement. If you were a fan of Grand Turismo, you must buy this game! Not only are the graphics very smooth, but so is the game play. the controls respond to the feel of the vehicles handling perfectly.
One thing I encourage and hasnt been mentioned it playing the game in High Definition. I played on a standard 19" TV set and was very happy with the game, but after hooking up the Xbox through the HDTV and making the proper configurations, The graphics became more detailed than anything I have ever seen in console gaming. the reflections on the vehicles smooth and extremely realistic.

First off this is by far the best racing game on xbox EVER! The graphics are absolutly stunning, with near endless draw distances. The cxontrol is very responsive. The online multiplayer is great. IT's just awesome playing a game with 8 people on live. There is very little lag, but if it does lag people beem up ahead of you. This is a must buy for racing fans.... and everyone else. See ya online!!

This game is amazing on Xbox Live!I rented this game and I loved it!I had it for 3 days and im aready a level 3!This games has amazing cars and graphics.I don't got that much kudos coins so I just use some other fast car.This is the perfect racing game for Xbox Live.Midnight Club 2 isnt that great but I belive that it is probally better on Xbox Live.This game has LOTS AND LOTS OF CARS!!You can unlock many things.Project Gotham Racing 1 sucked but 2 is a way better sequal!This is a perfect game for a gift!

An Extremely Good Racing Game

Project Gotham 2 for the XBOX is an extremely good racing game. It's got so much to offer, it's impossible to explain everything you can do (and achieve) on this game. I've had it for a while now, almost a year. It came with my XBOX as a matter of fact, and from the first time i played it until now it's just been the most fun racing game i've ever played.

Like i said, there's so much on offer. I haven't played Project Gotham 1 though, so this is my first experience with this series of racing games. It's a little bit arcade-'y', for lack of a better word, in that (for example) in each race you can earn points just from sliding your car around a bend. The longer you slide it the more the points. But really, with all of the points you earn in a race for doing all sorts of different things just spurs you on to do better and better and get more points, hence the fun in this game. The points (Kudos) you earn will help you unlock better cars too.

You can earn Kudos in a race by doing things like overtaking other racers, getting air (all 4 wheels off the ground), keeping a 'racing line' around a bend at high speed, sliding around corners, and there's also a 'combo bonus' in which..if you link any of these things together (Say if you slide around a corner and overtake an opponent at the same time), you'll get your Kudos doubled as a result of doing that. At the end of the race, you get Kudos too if you finish the race without hitting anything, for recording the fastest lap or if you finish in 3rd, 2nd or 1st place. All of this gets added together and in a single race, if you're good enough, you're looking at maybe 1,000 Kudos points.

The tracks are taken from all over the world. And they're so life-like, with excellent graphics. That's another thing..the graphics are just awesome on this game. The tracks are taken from such places as Sydney - Australia, Florence - Italy, Barcelona - Spain, Washington D.C - USA, Chicago - USA, Stockholm - Sweden, Nurberg - Germany, Hong Kong - China, Moscow - Russia, Yokohama - Japan and Edinburgh - Scotland. All are very life-like and you can see how much work the makers put into this game to make it that way.

The soundtrack too, is pretty cool. Such bands as Glassjaw, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, The Flaming Lips, Motor Ace, Porcupine Tree, Rocket Science, and The Used all appear on this game, along with many bands i've never heard of before. But the real plus for this game, and the XBOX in general for some other games, is that you can include any of your own songs into the soundtrack. For example, i've put bands like Meshuggah, Obituary, Napalm Death, Type 0 Negative and Helmet..just to name a few..into my own soundtrack. And the songs by these bands play in the background while i race. It's an extremely good addition to an already great game.

There's so much to do on this game, almost a year into owning it i still have alot more i can achieve on it. If you like games that are longlasting and extremely enjoyable at the same time, you can't pass on this. I suggest people who either don't have the first game, or do have the first game, to try this one out. It's not as 'real' in many aspects, as Gran Turismo or anything..but it wasn't trying to be. It's simply a fun game that you can come back to whenever you like and always enjoy it.
