Dude, this game rules it has the best graphics, challenges, sound, if your the kind of guy that likes 007 you will love this game, My best advice is to go to your nearest store and get this sweet game.

There was no effort made to port this game to xbox. It does not utilise any of the advanced graphics made available by xbox. The game could probably run on an ancient 200MHz Pentium, with SiS graphics... I would not recommend this game on xbox. Looks like the publishers realised it too, which is why it now sells for less than half of original price. (still not worth it).

This is a great game, the bullet time feature is by far the best feature in any game EVER! I love this game, it is in my top two favorite game list, maybe second only to Halo. If you have an xbox and havent played this or halo, you better go buy both of them right now son.

Great Game!
The realistic graphics and smooth animation enhance the playability of the game. The story line is well thought out and the cut scenes are not overdone nor do they interfere with the game play.
I believe the Xbox version of this game is far superior to the PC version. It is much easier to control the game on the xbox and the graphics are much smoother.
I think this game is a Great Shooter and by far one of my favorite xbox games to date. I appreciate the ability to save the game in critical places. This allows me to replay interesting predicaments until they are resolved the way I want them to be.
This game has provided me hours of playing fun and escapism.

rent it, don't buy it.

This game is ok, but only ok. It resembles a 5cent detective novel with lots of cliches. It's trying to create atmosphere but failing miserably. Add to that it's EXTREMELY easy, boring after the 2nd level. The bullet time is over rated. I got tired of it after a while, there's no action (think the opposite of serious sam). There's no puzzles, Max enters a room and says "the letter sat on the table like a letter sitting on the devils table". That's a prompt for you to read the letter. Press A and the "puzzle" is solved. There's about 3 places where you have to find a key to open a door. That's it.

If curiosity gets the better of you (as it did me) rent this game before you buy it.

I haven't played this game yet on Xbox or PC, but I did read a review in The Official Playstation Magazine that said Rockstar admits this game will look better on the Xbox than the PS2. Before you start jumping all over me, let me add that I am a huge PS2 fan, but I am also getting an Xbox. That said, I am now looking for the best overall game experience regardless of the console. In this case, it sounds like the Xbox version might be a better purchase over the PS2 version.

This is the best game I have ever played. It is realistic, challenging, and different every time I play it.

I would highly recommend it for the video wizards who think they can conquer all.

This game was horrible! Sure, everyone says that the writing and acting were bad but that doesnt quite capture the feeling you get when you play. Through most of the game I had to mute the TV because it was so painful to hear people talk - Max Payne never shuts up! He is not a character you like or even root for, I grew to hate him by the end of the game and enjoyed watching him get killed. It would be someting else if the writers knew how bad it was but I got the distinct impression that they thought the writing was really grity and noir and oh so cool. Pathetic! Some say that the action makes up for it. Well, the gaming is okay, it was fun most of the time if you cant hear anything but who wants to play that way? In my opinion the horrible writing and acting destroy any fun this game could have offerd. Where do they find these actors!
