Cool action...one of the better for Xbox

This game has awesome graphics. I know it sounds cheezy ... , but I am a graphic [fanatic]. The visuals simply blew my mind and I lvoe the character design. Plus I think it's really cool that you can play as light or dark characters. The weapons are awesome and everyoen says the design is linear, but I think it makes the game a little easier. I am not a big fan of overly complicated games and this works out really well for me. The actions is fast and it keeps the game interesting. I think everyone should at least check it out.

Simply Amazing

Where should I start? The graphics are beautiful. The environments are incredibly ambient, and allow for some *very interesting* interactions, such as finding extra items, alternative routes, exploding buildings, falling barrells, etc... The playable characters and their respective armor and weaponry, for lack of anything more descriptive, KICK ...! The enemies are many, varied, and fairly intelligent. Finally, although nothing new, the story behind the game is decent in depth and rich in the telling it. I knew this game would be awesome from looking at the screen shots, but even then I was blown away... Definitely a 5-star game.

Good Game.

Confirmation on the graphics design, detail, and art...if you rent it you will see such detail in the first mission of the game.

Control and response are excellent.

Lots of available gameplay time...this won't be a Hunter incident where you beat it in 24 hours.

For anyone who tells you "no mid-mission saves", don't listen. In between missions you can always save, in some special missions there will be "checkpoints" where you can start over at. Brash actions shouldn't be rewarded with a chance to load the game from whence two seconds ago.

Great Hack and Slash in the fashion of Heretic and Hexen!

This game provides great pace, each character type are also very unique providing a different perspective on playing the game. Go thru a map as a sniping archer, powerful knight or the thoughtful mage. Graphics are very good for the age of this game. Starbreeze studio is one to watch out for. If you loved Heretic and Hexen, you'll love this game.

Good not so well known game

Title basically said it all. This game is fun but it can be frustrating at times due to not having any map for any level. This game is not perfect by any means, there are some choppy graphics and a glitch every now and then but that doesn't effect the game play. This is definately worth picking up if you like hack n slash type games and or even RPG's.

Amazing Graphics, But way to buggy to enjoy.

This game has some amazing visuals. The best I have seen in a long time. But it is so buggy that it really takes away from the enjoyment. After five minutes into it I decided to pause the game, bad idea. It locked up, and my xbox said either the disk was dirty or damaged. Fine.. I tryed again seeing as how the game was brand new. This time I got alittle further. Played for about 20 minutes. Then something came flying down some stairs, (Yellow flash?) and it crashed again! I took it back to get a new one, and the samething happened. Even tryed it on a friends xbox with the same resaults. Sad. This game looks great but the frequent crash's and lack of save area's, not to mention the ...... controls ruined it for me. I never thought I would see games being released to early on a game console like they do on the pc, but it has happened. And there's no downloadable patch the fix this game.

Overall, with the amazing visuals and animation it would make a great movie. But thats about it.

I wish they had 3 & 1/2 stars to give.

Good game and I love the gothic, D & D role playing type games with weapons and money for better weapons :). The issues have been pointed out in other reviews as far as difficult and no saves mid-level. We all like challenges in games however it needs to be achievable for the game player. I have a job and balances need to exist in games. This is the 50th game I have played that is too difficult. I wish I could give it a 3.5 but trusting the others that if I had a month to play this game I would actually beat it I have given it a 4.

Old school difficulty level.

This is a great game, you'll hear a lot about the difficulty level and no mid-level save feature, but I remember we didn't always have that back in the 8-bit days. (anyone else remember the superbad guy from Double Dragon that couldn't swim?)

Great sound, graphics, story, and play control. Not for the gamer that likes a no brainer win.

errr, ok game, but definately a renter first

First off, this is NOT an RPG. It is a FPS/Max Payne style game that just happens to have a fantasy setting. One may argue that there is an RPG feel to the game, which I won't deny, but the gameplay itself is pure action FPS. If you want a true RPG, check out Elder Scrolls:Morrowind. A great game (if you can get past the bugs). Anyway, I purchased Enclave the day it came out, and while it was entertaining for a bit, it quickly started boring and annoying me. Why? well, first off, as with many games, most of what was promised and hyped up does not come through in the final product. From what I heard, I was expecting a great physics engine and being able to truly interact w/ the world. (Stick arrows in the wall, knock enemies weapons out of their hands, etc) I have not seen anything like this yet. Everything in the game is scripted. If you see a wall blow up once, it happens the exact same way every time. Maybe I was expecting too much, and if this were the only problem, I would be able to overlook it. The second (and even bigger) problem is the AI, or should I say lack of it. All the enemies just run right at you, w/o a care in the world. there is no tactics whatsover (maybe I was spoiled w/ halo?) and ends up being a "who can hit the button faster" which i hate in games. Minor problems include no save feature in the middle of a level (definate letdown), not being able to choose your own controls (only two settings, and the difference between the two just moves the jump button from the right thumb stick to the a button), etc. The graphics are very beautiful though, so it sure is nice eye candy. Character animates are very nice and smooth. This may be your type of game, but i would definately recommend renting first. Luckily I still have my receipt.

Almost

They almost had it before outsmarting themselves.I
was expecting this to be the one but,it's not.I like
the controls and the graphics are sweet but thats
where it ends. All they had to do was put the gamer
in another world and get out of the way.Instead you
get foolish missions that serve only to undermine the
continuity of the game.I never really felt I was in-
volved with a quest,just completing challenges.You can't
just suit up and go out exploring and that ...[ticked]me off.
Take a hint from Halo or Morrowind next time and kindly
get out of the way.
