This game became boring after two hours. The graphics are great the shallowness and laughable plot detract too much. The endings are visually impressive but again, are so absurd that I couldn't help but laugh (although "Christy's" ending was interesting). Two player was OK, but it doesn't get more involved than the usual button mashing.
Rent it and don't waste your money (besides, Tecmo already sold a million copies, they don't need the business).

Good stuff:
-Best graphics ever!
-It's so suicide

Bad stuff:
-It's a little limited and redundant

Weird stuff:
-Don't you wish there were minigames in DOA(and no I don't mean time attack or survival, etc.)?
-Do you ever wish you could make some one fall somewhere where it would count as a ring out?
-Can't they add at least 10 hidden characters and not just Ein?

Final thought:
I think that this is one insane game. However, they could invent some new things. If that happened this would be a way better game.

The Graphics alone deserve a 4.5 stars or 5 stars at least. But rating the ENTIRE GAME GETS A 3.5 stars. The actuall game play (button configuration, movements in environments, the fighting style is pretty good/decent,etc.) But it does get a LITTLE REPETITIVE and the STORY LINE is a little SHAKEY. If you are a DIE HARE DOA fan you should buy it. If you like the DOA series I'd say rent it or try it out for an hour at a friends house or on a demo and then decide if you want to BUY IT or NOT. Once you beat the game with everyone (which does'nt take too long) there is nothing much more to do except play a few more times or with a friend.

...how come none of the fighters can jump? I love fighting games along the lines of Mortal Kombat - doing flying jump-kicks and such. All the fighters in this game are stuck to the ground. It's a fine game otherwise, but I gave it only two stars because I never feel the desire to play it. Wait for Mortal Kombat coming out in the fall for a GREAT fighting game. At least, I hope it will be.

... let DOA3 be it. Granted fighting games don't appeal to everyone, but this is just pure bliss. I especially enjoy the story mode and the little movie at the end when you complete your "mission." The graphics is simply the best of any games, console or PC. I have been playing this for the last two months and my friends and I always get a high kick out of it.

...it's too short. I beat it inside of a weekend. It's meant to be a multi-player game. The plot development is a joke, there isn't any, just some very vague scenes and dialogue that hint towards something. There are many modes which makes it good, and there are some cheats, but they are really only for different outfits for the characters. The official XBOX Magazine has said that there is going to be an add-on disc for DOA3 that will expand the outifts, moves, and arenas that should be out... [soon]. But by far the best quality as with all XBOX games is the graphics!!! WOW!! The action is also terrific!! It's a great game but I probably won't buy another 'fighter' until [later] when 'Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance' releases. :)

Dead or Alive 3 is the best fighting game ever!

When I first turned on my xbox and inserted that DOA3 disc,
beat the game with every character in story mode, saw the marvless endings with the ULTRA,ULTRA,ULTRA REAL LIFE TYPE
GRAPHICS, along with incredible tag battles and sparring pratice
mode, I was more than impressed with this game!The proccessing/rendering speed of this game is SO INCREDIBLE. The
sound and music in this game is plain likeable fighting game
type audio(From my opinion), and the controllers and very, VERY
comfertable, so the overall is this is the most advance jaw
dropping super ultra excellent enviorment rendering, great
normal fighting audio, and great immmersive fighting type gameplay, this game is my type fighting game! I warn you, virtual fighter 4, tekken 4, like halo compared to half-life,
unreal, and the rest of those type games, dead or alive 3 is going to put the pressure on! ps.Look closeley next time if you
play dead or alive 3, it's more than anstonishing!

graphics: This game has the best best graphics period. The characters and levels are the most detailed.

gamemodes: The gamemodes are awesome. The tagteam mode offers alot for this game.

overall: Overall this game cannot be beat. The only con about this game is that it is not on other systems, such as the PS2 or the GAMECUBE.

I found this game to be very entertaining. While it might not be one of those games you are picking up every day to try to play start to finish, it is certainly one of those games that will come out every time your friends come over and you fire up the x-box. The graphics are great, the controls are easy, and unlike every fighting game I have ever played before, it is not, "the one that knows all the special moves wins." This is definitely a game to try!
