I can't believe I bought this game. It was cheap and I wanted to try some Xbox games online. Sorry to say that this one dissapointed me. Horrible graphics (for Xbox? c'mon!), it was just a port from the PC version. I could be wrong a bit because I don't know the differences between the two, other(obviously) than the menus and controls. If you're looking for a good military game, buy Socom 2 (or Socom 3 if it's out at the time of reading, Oct. 2005) for the Playstation 2, much better.

Uh...kinda boring not as fun as Halo or Unreal

Hey if you don't have xbox live don't bother getting this game. The AI is just plain stupid and the controls kinda suck i mean the highest look sensitivity is about equal to 4 on halo c'mon thats some slow crap. The only good thing about this game is its different than the usual halo or unreal online. But other than that...yeah if it comes down to $10 buy it i guess cause that's probably how much its worth.

When I first rented the game, I had only heard about it. About it's years of success on the PC... being a major XBox fan, I had to rent it for XBox. When I slipped it into the disk drive, and selected a mode of play, (hostage rescue), I Immediatly fell in love with it!!! The game is SUPER addictive, (Therefore I was up all night playing.) Then I started playing xbox live... IT WAS SUH-WEET!!!

For people who want a challenge (and hopefully have an xbox live connection, for it is only single-player without), this is THE game to get!!!

you need to buy this game if its the only one you get. Being able to blay missions with diffrent people always makes the game every time you play because nothing is ever the same because people may go one way one time and a totaly diffrent way the next

Inferior to the PC Version

Not a horrible game at all, but just not very good. While the graphics may be better, the game just doesn't play as well. The graphics look good up close, but things in the distance look blurry, making it hard to see anyone and especially what team they are on. The sound for the game isn't very high quality either. In my opinion, the original sounds are a lot better. The majority of the servers are slow as it seems that everyone wants to exceed their recommended maximum players. The maps themselves are nice, but the lighting is somewhat bad. I find myself constantly adjusting the brightness on my TV just to make the game playable from one map to another. If you have this game on PC, pass on this version while I go try to sell my copy.

I'd say I'm pretty good at FPS (First Person Shooters) and that's why I think there's something lacking from this game. It's hard at first, only because you have to adjust to the controls, but once you get a feel for the game the AI starts to die.

I played CS since Beta 1, which now feels like many years ago; and I've seen it evolve since then. The Xbox version offers average graphics (some have said it's better on Xbox, but they're not running 64 Meg+ video cards) but more is wanted. The guns are the same as v1.7, so there's no difference there; and the levels are basically the same. The developers made new levels, but you can tell they weren't tested extensively because it's horribly unbalanced. You'll notice right away that one side will always win (normally the score is 1-10 ratio) unless a human factor is added.

The bots aren't bad; it's like playing online for the most part. You still get frustrated when a dumbass is still camping and the bomb is about to go off. Or when you have to just sit there and watch someone stare at a wall until they're killed. It's alot like playing online. My real complaint about the bots is they're too easy until they nail you with the AWP, but the most part they're not bad.

It's nice playing in an arena that's cheat free; but for the most part playing on the computer, online, is better.

Im saving up for an xbox xbox live and counter strike I play it every day every other week on my bros xbox I always ask the host if we could either do scouts and knifes or just knifes thats just so fun that way one time (Im just an beginner so dont make fun of me) I had a scout and i was surrounded by knifers i randomly shot and no scoped head shot got a few head shots that time it was what got me hooked.
counter strike is better on xbox live than halo2 for these
reasons
1.more creeps play halo 2
2.more cussing on halo 2
3.actuall people host maps and can kick any one cussin, killing every teamate at the start of the game, sexuall talking stuff like that.
4.you can complane to x box live to get people booted for up 2 1
month
5.levels are bigger
6. host your own map
7.clans can battle it out on their own custom maps
8.only 2 teams vs. each other
9.have more fun be cause no one can cheat
10.(for both halo 2 and cs) people ussually treat each other the same no matter what age and they all get along easier than real life. for instance i played with a few people on halo 2 on rumple training me and this one gy kept telling chokes having a GREAT time i mean great he won and i complimented him a few times and he asked to be on my buddies list but i hate the fact that i had to say no because it was on my bros xbox sorry sword
(sword was part of his name i hope i will see him again when i got an x box and he will forive me oh well i will miss him im 12.

This game makes me feel like Soldier of Fortune 2:Double Helix or Ranbow Six 3 cause it is ONLY 1 PLAYER OR MULTIPLAYER XBOX LIVE.I got xbox live but, come on all these 3 games DOSENT HAVE THAT OWN XBOW MULTIPLAYER.So i cant play with my friends.I dont care about my live cause its so lame to get kicked from servers for no reason, but if you like playing xbox live you should consider buying this game(NTCS users would like buy it from here)but i say it defenetly would need a own xbox multiplayer for fun.This is reason why im not going buy it from anywhere.

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. Counter-Strike on Xbox is just barely ok. Only buy this game if you have Xbox Live, that is where a bulk of the action is. If you own CS on PC, don't buy the game.
