Fun.. Only On Xbox Live

If you dont have Xbox Live, dont buy this game. You will be really dissappointed by the single player, its a waste of time. Just computer bots that you kill. Kinda wack. The xbox live is fun though.

Counter STrike was a great game for computer. I hope it is also great on XBL. The only problem is that its only 16 players at the max.

i hadn't intended on getting this game given that i already have RS3 and Ghost Recon but i received it as a gift and it can really be pretty fun. Although if you don't have Xbox Live you should really think about staying away from this one. The Xbox Live part is what really makes the game, it has pretty much the same team system that wolfstein has but the rounds are really quick and dirty. All in all a pretty good game but there are better choices out there.

I was so excited to hear this game would come out on Xbox, since I already have the PC game. What a disappointment. If you already have the PC version don't even think of buying the XBox game. Completely slow and uncontrollable with a lot of functions missing, this game is a big disappointment.

This is mainly an online game that was ported to the Xbox from the PC. The game was made before 2003 and it shows. The graphics are great and the AI very realistic. I would give this game 2 stars if it was released in 2005 but for the times it was state of arts. There is no story or plot. You have a choice of different scenic maps to battle on. This describes single player mode since this game will not always be supported online. There are only 2 scenarios: Hostage situation or Bombs. You have a choice to be either a Counter Terrorist Assault team or a stinken terrorist. You start the game with a certain amount of cash and you have only a few seconds to choose your loads using a pin wheel. You then go at it. Kill all your opponents to win the game or accomplish the goal of either foiling the bombing or rescue the hostages. These are the issues I have with the game:
*The game has little strategy other
than picking a point for ambush.
*The AIs are dumb. They get in your
line of fire and disobeys orders.
They like to throw grenades at the start
of a mission for no reason but to hurt you.
*Very limit orders list makes for frustration.
AI will report enemy spotted but not where.
*Weapons are well detailed even to the point
of reloading like real weapons but effectiveness
is laughable. How many rounds in the head with a
M249 does it takes for the opponent to die??
*Grenades are few and ineffective. I can catch
the enemy in a tight group and throw a grenade and
do they die. NOPE! They only lose about 40% Health points.
*Flash bangs blind you even when you have your eyes down
or your back towards the blast.
*The AI can be 6 in away from each other but will empty their magazines trying to hit each other.
What a joke.
*The terrorist have an unfair advantage and have 2 ways to win.
Just killing all the terrorist isn't enough if they already set
the bomb.
* Enemy don't make any noises execept while running.
* Bomb exploding can hurt or kill you if too close when it goes off. Even when deep inside a building far away from the blast.
* The maps are too small. It's easy to guess where the enemy are.
* There is a severe slow down in the frame rate when pulling grenades or when too many things are happening on screen.

This game is priced cheap but I recommend buying it used. The game can be highly customized with weapon types and cash amounts but as a real game it's lame. It's no fun to get killed early in a game. You then become a spectator watching all the AIs play which could take minutes. There is no 2 player version. The box doesn't tell you this is more an online game than a game that can stand on it's own. There isn't even a high score or stats section other then end game results that's reset after each game series. This can be a great game online but you need XBox Live and you need to find an opponent to play with. For a game it seems very incomplete and mindless.

Save Trouble and dont buy this.

I am in the same boat of several other people whos Parents dont buy me whatever I want and havent got a 360 yet or xbox live (bad internet connection). Since they quit making xbox games I am desperatly trying to find some old games that even thogh have bad grafics are still prety good. Well this is not what I was looking for here are the pro and cons.

PRO-You get to shoot terrorists.

CONS-horrid grafics(guys get stuck in mid air, guns look fake, blood cornily flies everywere especialy w. a handgun.)
-There is no storymode(you just go to places and try to beat the terorists the best of five times)
-just overall stupid.

Im sure it might be good on line but I dont know what about that could make it better.

do any of you realize the magnitude of this game. If you have played cs before you know what im talking about. It probly wont be as good as the pc origanal but it definately wont be a waste of money. New levels, charecters, guns and xbox live and maybe even xsn this game will be the xbox title that will give halo 2 a run for its money.

I bought, played and returned this game in less than one hour. The description of the game on the back of the case sounded awesome, which I guess was too good to be true. To simplify my review, here's a list of pros and cons:

Pros:
- The store believed me when I told them it didn't work, and refunded my $49.99.

- For those not fortunate enough to get a refund, the disc makes for a nice paintball target.

Cons:
- Horrible graphics.

- Choppy movement; when a character dies, he falls to the ground in three stuttered movements.

- No variety. The missions are all the same and only the environment changes, which literally gets boring after minutes. While some would say this sort of game has a high replay value, I would beg to differ. If you can keep yourself entertained performing the same stupid tasks over and over, you deserve this game.

- No plot. There are something like 16 levels, yet there are no real "missions" and there is no story to follow. If you are familiar with any of the Tom Clancy games, Counter Strike is certainly nothing compared to them. You basically just pick the environment in which you want to play in, and repeat the redundant task of saving hostages, or disarming bombs (unless you pick the terrorist team, then you guard the hostages and defend the bombs). If you like that sort of mindless, repetitious gameplay, buy Unreal Championship. It's much better and at least it has a plot with different "game ladders".

- No entertainment. As I stated above, I excitedly bought this game and rushed home to play it, only to discover it was quite possibly the worst game ever (most definately the worst Xbox title ever). When I say there are only two tasks involved in this game, I'm not exaggerating. Sure, most people buy it so they can shoot at strangers online. But I reiterate, get Unreal Championship instead!

I strongly urge those considering purchasing this game to look elsewhere. If software companies make games this poor, and people actually buy them, the software companies will continue to soil the video game gene pool with games like Counter Strike. I only wish there were an option to rate this game with a negative number or, failing that, a fraction.

THIS GAME IS THE BEST!

My son tells me this is so difficult that he does not want to play it. He has a lot of games.
