Im a big buffy fan and not a lot of the products that they make based on this franchise satisfy me, But this game is da bomb man i love it and i cant get enough of it the only downfall in this hole game is xander (just like in the show he is useless) But the buffster, faith, willow, spike and even sid are totaly kewl, Plus there are like tons of unlockables which makes this game super fun i mean who doesnt like staking a vamp once and a while

Now all i need is an ANGEL Game lol

Buffy u still ROCK ma WORLD lol

I was a big fan of the first game. I tore right through it in a few days. Sadly, chaos bleeds is not nearly as good. I've gotten through a few levels, and while I am sure I will eventually finish it, I am in no big hurry.
It has been mentioned that the camera angles are funky...that they are...
I really wanted to like this game...I was itching to play it...but sadly...hasn't lived up to my expectations...

"Into every generation,A Slayer is born, one girl in all the world with the ablity and strength to fight the vampiresand deamons, she is the slayer..." This game is awsome!! Being a huge Buffy fan, I obveiously wanted to buy this game. The only thing wrong with this game is that Sarah Michelle Gellar did not voice her character. The girl they got to voice her, with no direspect what so ever, did not hold a candle to Sarah's preccence. And Willow! Geesh! She sounds stoned and sort of drunk at the same time. But, now about the game... the game is such a well done game. The levels are different from the first( F.Y.I I still have not beat that game by the way...) game was. In this game, the supporting cast are helping Buffy, too! For anybody who says, that this game sucks because, you can't choose every time, should actually look at the game for once... Willow in the Majjick shop, duh! Buffy in the graveyard, duh! Xander in the Blood factory, umm.. okay no 'duh' there, but you still get my point. Every character is a level for a reason. Great game even for all you people who do not like Buffy, you would still have fun with this game
P.S.-STOP WHINNING ABOUT THE STUPID CAMERA ALREADY!! ITS NOT A BIG DEAL!! GET OVER IT!!! for you who complained about that

I own the first game, so when I bought the second game, I had high expectations. When I bought it, I was in love! The game has amazing weaponry, the levels are longer and the puzzle are difficult. But that is what makes it so amazing. The voices are spectacular and the characters are amazingly similar to the TV show. My advice is to BUY THIS GAME BEFORE IT'S OUT! HURRY!!!

Disappointng - For The Non Gamer

I'm a huge buffy fan. In fact the reason we chose the X-box is because it had the Buffy game. The thing is, I'm not great at video games. That's why I was so happy to discover the first game had any "easy" level. I could actually play! Chaos Bleeds lacks this level and therefore is not for the casual gamer. I couldn't get past the first level and my hands are aching.

Not Bad!

I rented this game and found it quite addicting. I have no problem with using specific characters with different levels, however, I do find the camera angles to be hard to work with. If you're next to something, you can't move the camera around. The first Buffy game was much better with the camera. All enemies are harder to kill and have trickier moves, but I think that just adds more of a challenge to the game. I do wish that they had different experience levels like in the first game though. The puzzles are definitly harder and I had to go to the site for help with a few things as well. All in all I think this is a great game and I plan on buying it when the price comes down a bit. Oh and Willow's voice is REALLY BAD.

I wanna retract!

I would like to update my review...The previous review is still very true but I would like to add a few things to the would be buyers of this game. The inability to save a level is irritating, you have to finish a level completely before turning off your xbox. Keep in mind some of these levels take a lot of time and leaving your system on can result in disk errors, so be prepared to be annoyed when you have to start a level over again. I am now suggesting this be a rental first and if you think you can live with the constant whirring of your xbox..the buy buy buy!

Disappointing...

My main complaint is the same that I've read on here all ready but I'll repeat - the camera angles are horrible. The inability to move the camera to a suitable position makes certain tasks needlessly difficult. It makes a fairly enjoyable game somewhat tedious.

It is nice to have a variety of characters to play and larger environments to explore but, overall, the first game was much more enjoyable.

This game kicks @$$

Ok this game was awesome. People compare it to the first to much and they give it a low reveiw. I love this game the storyline is better than the first. i had no problem with the camera or finding objects. Ok it was kinda short but i loved it. The levels are fun and there are puzzles that take time to figure out. I love that you can use different characters. I hope they make a third game and since eveybody is complaining about a camera angle then they should fix it. I hope they make a Angel game as well. I love this game better weapons, better story, and a hell of alot more fun.

Fun But Frustrating

As a "Buffy" fan, I had to buy this game for two reasons: One, the first game was awesome; two, it's really hard to go wrong when investing in anything having to do with Buffy or Joss Whedon. Well, except the novels. The expanded universe Buffy novels have a trend to suck majorly. But I digress...

It's a rare occasion that I simply give a list of positives and negatives when reviewing something, whether it be a book, a movie, a CD, or--as in this case--a game. However, I feel this game can be divided as such.

POSITIVES
+ The story is way more ambitious
+ Willow's voice actress (see below) eventually (after a long, long time) grows on you
+ You get to play as a LOT more characters
+ Staking vamps and fighting as one of the characters you love is always really, really cool
+ Awesome extras; nostalgia at hearing the voices of many of the original "Buffy" actors.

NEGATIVES
+ The game-play, while it grows on you, leaves a lot to be desired. It is neither as smooth nor as "easy" as the original game. The controls will often leave you facing the wrong direction during a fight.
+ There aren't any "saves" in this game. The only way to save is if you beat the level. If you die, you generally go all the way--yes all the way--back to the beginning of the level. Some levels have checkpoints and some don't, but if life calls you to leave the game in the middle of a level, all your work is gone due to the "no-saves" thing going on here. No matter HOW many checkpoints you passed by in that level, quitting the game erases them all. And the levels are far to long for this to be acceptable.
+ The Boss Battles are often so difficult that they become ludicrous. I have never gotten to the end of the game because of the Boss Battle at the "Sunnydale Zoo" level. My father, who is essentially a pro-gamer, found himself unable to beat an earlier boss. This problem also goes along with the saving problem because sometimes, it gets so frustrating that it makes you want to turn the game off. If you do, you'll be back at the level you started at, not back at the Boss Battle. Due to that insanely hard battle, I will never see the end of a game that I was--despite it's drawbacks--enjoying.

6/10
