Why did they have to change hands??? Bad move!!!

Well I was so excited when I heard that Buffy was getting yet another chance to kick some demon butt in the famous Sunnydale lot, and to my surprise FAITH my favorite Slayer of all time was to be in it. So I of course got the game like the first day it was out and I played it and well here are the Pro/Cons to the game and trust me there is more Con's then Pro's right now.

Con's

1. The camera is HORRIBLE. Very jerky and dizzy at times. It doesn't go around 360 like the other one.
2. The controls are tricky. In the first game you could use the whole joy stick, in this one it's very strick in that it's up or down and side to side, no slightly up to the left side, nope you just go straight up. So that is highly annoying because you get cornered very fast (and can't use the camera to use it to swing around fast enough as well).
3. Well I do miss the inventory screen, very much. I mean I learned how to use the quick screen in the first game, but I think it was WRONG to take it out. Trust me once I beat the game I'm writing a LONG, LONG list of problems this had compared to the first one.
5. To many buttons for combo's and highly frustrating. They really don't give you a chance to figure out moves and spells in my opinion. They talk to you while fighting how to do it, and that is annoying.
6. SAVES!! Who ever the freaking genuies was to NOT have hardly any in the game needs to be in my eyes SHOT and never allowed to play again. I was playing Faith and the game got stuck at the end guy so GUESS what I had to start all over again. UGH. Plus the Boss who you face at the end of this takes FAR to long to beat. I mean he should be an end guy it's so stupid. There are engery balls you have to blast, three of them I sat there counting that i hit one of them 50 times and it still wasn't down and this is ONLY ONE. That is way to much time to spend in my opinion.

The list can go on and on and on and on, the only good part is that you get some multi-player action going on and well... um... the other games as well seem very cool. But other wise this isn't any where near the league that it was before and if I could demand my money back I would give it up it back. Even if Faith is in it.

What's the problem, people???

I do not understand why this game is getting such poor reviews. I see a lot of people comparing it to the first game...it isn't the first game, nor should it be. If you want the first game, then play the first game over and over.

Now,onto the review. I found this game incredibly entertaining and just pure fun. You get to play as Buffy, Willow (I will agree that Willow's voice is HORRIBLE and she sounds like Minnie Mouse on crack or something), Xander, Faith, Spike and even Sid the Dummy. I was really skeptical about the whole Sid the Dummy thing but believe me, it's hysterical and I ended up wishing he would show up a few more times. The basic moves/controls are the same but you have a lot more slayer moves, etc from the start than you got in the first game. The levels get progressively more difficult without ever becoming impossible (like having to jump all over the place when Buffy can't seem to jump at all like in the first game). The enemy's health meter doesn't show up until after the enemy usually attacks you but in my opinion this way is better. It's not real surprising when something wicked this way comes has an announcement. Really, the only problem I had with the game was the camera angles on occassion and they aren't enough of a problem to ruin the game at all.

The camera angles are a bit of a problem and can cause serious damage to your character since you can't seem to get it lined up at times. The camera system in the first Buffy game was much better but overall the game looks great and takes full advantage of all XBox has to offer. The music and sound effects are good and even though you do hear the same comments from the characters over and over, name a game of this type that doesn't have that problem. The voice work (again, Willow being the HUGE exception) sounds great and in most cases was done by the actor from the show. Buffy was not voiced by the actress but this girl is so dead-on that you won't even notice.

Overall, I am not disappointed at all. I thought the game was well-done with an original story line and good game play. The puzzle solving seems more in-line with the story and not as contrived. I gave it five stars because whether you are (or I guess "were" at this point) a fan of the show or not, you will find this game entertaining and just plain fun. Rent it first, you'll end up buying.

Pretty Good Game

Okay, so I was really hyped up for this game, because I absolutely adored the first one; it's not too hard, but not too easy, either, and has a perfect balance of fighting and puzzle solving. That is what I love in a game, and the first Buffy ranks up there with my favorite games, like Enter the Matrix and...well, Buffy. (Not a big X-Box player. Too expensive. I prefer PS1.) Anyway, I went out and bought this the day it came out--or maybe a day after, and so far, it's awesome. A bit harder than the first one, but quite fun. The only qualms I have so far with it are:
One: the camera system, like just about everyone. I was used to Buffy 1 controls, which allow you to hit the left trigger, and whoosh--the camera whirls to behind Buffy. With this system, the secondary joystick controlls the camera, and to be honest, in the beginning, it is annoying. Seriously. It's hard to see enemies coming from behind you, thus aiding in death-causing ambushes. However, once you get used to it, it's not that hindering.
Two: The voices. The Buffy-voice is the same as from the first game, but the Willow sound-alike is almost infuriatingly whiney, throaty, and nasal--believe me, it's possible. It sounds like a mocking impression. And the Anya sound alike, well, sounds nothing alike. However, at least they didn't have to go out and find an alternate Faith or Spike. That would have ruined it.
Three: Often, the game bombards you with enemies that simply don't stop coming, no matter how many you kill. You usually have to die a few times before you figure out that to get them to stop, you have to go into the room that the creatures come out of. It makes for some frustrating moments. And the puzzles are a bit hard. I've had to seek online help at least twice in one day. However, the game, as a whole, is fun. It's cool to burn vamps with Willow-spells, and Sid's hammer is just about the best weapon ever. Though, I do enjoy the occasional pool sticks, and the bat works great for Buff.
All in all, the game is quite fun, and extremely addicting. The storyline is great, completely enjoyable, and totally believeable. I didn't find being unable to pick who you are through the whole game all that bad--in fact, the diversity is quite enjoyable. The transition is somewhat unnerving (one minute, x means kick, then you go to Willow, and it's fireball) but it's interesting. I really enjoyed the resurrection of ex-Buffy foes. It's definately a must-buy for the hardcore Buffy fans (like I had to tell you that) and enjoyable for even non-Buffy watchers (my cousing got a kick out of playing it, and he's never really watched Buffy.) Go out and buy it--definately worth the money. Or, maybe second hand is better. Maybe not worth fifty bucks, but definately thirty.
And for online help (which, believe me, is needed) I've found so far, the best is the official website's message boards. People usually get caught up in the same places, so you don't have to post a question to get the answer you're looking for.

I could not wait for this game to come out. I loved the first one, this one however is awful. You can easily get lost in this game. The first one was more action packed this one is like stratagy and is complicated. The camera and controls suck. You can kill vampires and demons easier, but when your fighting and are near death you have medi packs. You can't like the first game pause take elixar and then unpause it you have to continue playing and stop what you are doing in order to take the medi pack, while you are still under attack.

this game simply.........SUCKS!

The first game was great, but the only problem was you couldn't pick any other character. In the new one you can pick Willow, Buffy, Faith, or Xander. So you know this game has got to be good.

Okay, this is my responce to all the bashing of this game. THIS GAME IS TERRIFIC! It's one of the best games I've played in the longest. You get to play as Buffy, Willow, Xander, Faith, Spike, and Sid the Dummy. Some reviewer here said that the puzzles in the game are impossible to figure out, but I could figure them all out without looking for spoilers on the internet. AND I'M 13! That's pretty said that some adults are less smart. The game is in tradition with "Resident Evil" with a lot of fighting and action and some puzzles. The difficult parts are where you battle "The First's" five big bads. It's difficult figuring out what they're weaknesses are. But it's challenging and fun at the same time.

And stop whining about the damn camera angles! Big damn deal! Vivendi Universal, Eurocom, and FOX interactice and Co. are nice enough to bring you this game, you should be thankful! I for one am reeling without a Buffy season 8 and I'll take whatever I can get to fix that!

And stop comparing this to the first Buffy game! Both games are great and should stand on their own and not be compared! THE GREATED GAME EVER!

So please, stop complaining about this game! It's the most entertaining one in a long time.

BTVS:Chaos Bleeds is one of the best games i have ever played. It is everything i was hoping for and more the only thing i dont like is how the camera moves, it can prove to be irritating for me. None the less i love it. Any true fan of the series that does not have the game should run out and buy it right now i am sure you will enjoy it!!!

In re: gamer from EP, TEXAS.

My game never froze on me, and there are no problems with it! And my system is pretty mest up! So I don't know what's wrong with your game, but it's not the games fault! You shouldn't lower the quality of the game just because something is wrong with your system.

This game is awesome! It has a better storyline and graphics from the first. Also: This game DOES NOT have the same villains from the first game. And someone said that you get the same vampires for each level! Well it was the same way with the original game! How many times did I encounter that really FAT vampire in the first one! This game is great! Don't believe other reviews!
