Brute Force Is not another Halo -> Great game all the same!

The main similarity between this game and Halo is the controller schema, which makes the game a breeze to learn. The story line behind the game is a little weak, but this is not an RPG. This game offers hours of play for even experienced gamers. My only gripe with this game is the fact that it is not online enabled. If you enjoyed Halo you will fall right into this game without missing a beat. Brute Force is a game well worth the money, if not all the hype.

I rented this game and it was amazing I couldnt belive how detaled the graffics were.I loved the brutal graffics.Seriously the game kicked a$$.The missions are good and theres also good characters.Weapons-good,Game-AWESOME!!,Should I buy it-Dont ask that question of coarse your gona buy it and you will be happy>:(

THIS GAME IS SO COOL.I LIKE FIGHTING THE CREEPY ALIENS. YOU GET SOME AWESOME WEAPONS LIKE THE "SWEEPER V". i GOT THIS GAME FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND I LOVED IT. IT WAS SO FUN. THE BEST GAME I HAVE.

This game easily lost the interest of me and my friends in co-op mode and blasting signs like aliens got boring and repetative in solo quickly, still captivated my attention but had no replay value for me, i am a huge fan of halo beating it multipul time on legendary and having 100+ hours of game time i wouldnt say this game had anything close to what halo does. good for the 17 down crowd for it to be a great game. multyplayer fun but gets old. on 1-10 she gets 6

Good suggested game if you enjoy the character changing aspect of this game.

I was never planning on getting this game until I played it with my brother. He brought a copy and I decided to give it a try. Despite being a third person shooter, the game was actually good and very playable. It is now among one of my favorite games. If you are looking for a shooter until HALO 2 comes out early next year, this is the game to forfill your jones until such time. Great graphics...good story...and great value considerating you will also get XBOX Live downloads.

Don't listen to all the negative reviews!!!

I'm baffled with all the negative reviews this game has constantly been receiving! Critics constantly rant and rave about the game not living up the the potential of such games as Halo. How on earth can anyone compare a lst person shooter to a 3rd person shooter? Nowadays, it almost seems as though if a shooter doesn't play EXACTLY like Halo, then it's no good. That shouldn't be the case. Brute Force is twice as long, more challenging, better replay value, and has smoother/crisper visuals and graphics than Halo. Besides, why would anyone want to play a cheap imitation shooter that plays exactly like Halo? Let's just face the facts people. If you like first person shooters, then play Halo and Half-life, and you if you despise 3rd person shooters then leave Brute Force alone and stop complaining of how it's either a rip-off of Halo or it's not as good as Halo, because BF is it's own game. Try to accept Brute Force for what it is. A darn good 3rd person shooter (possibly one of the best, if NOT the best out now). One of the all time best around!

This game is horrible! I thought it would be the next killer app on xbox. I was so wrong. This is one of the worst games I have ever played. The graphics suck, the gameplay is boring, and the control are horrible. This game was so bad, that I traded it in after three days. I would highly recommend avoiding this game.

This game is really bad, they said that it will be like the critical acclaim Halo. It doesn't even come close to being named the next Halo. Skip it if you can, don't waste your money on this game.

Finally, a XBox game that rivals 'Halo.'

Finally, a game other than Halo that makes a XBox purchase worth the money.

I'm not a fan of 3rd person shoot-em-up games, but this game is incredible. Truly incredible. First, the controls and gameplay borrow heavily from Halo, so there is a very short adjustment period. Second, the graphics look great: murky swamps, alienvision, explosions, lighting...everything is an easy match to the big H itself.

The main attraction, of course, is the ability to have squad combat. While the option to just blast through a level with one character is definitely a viable one, the ability to signal commands and finesse tactics is an enjoyable one. For example, the alien Brutus can use his special ability to (among other things) see enemies in poor lighting, while Tex can use two weapons at once (I love his knack for quoting 'Scarface' while looking like a young Terminator at the same time), so you can play as Brutus and take out well-hidden enemies while Tex lays down some mean support fire.

In terms of multiplayer, while there is no XBox Live option (lamentable), players can easily enter into and leave any current campaign, which means your buddies can take over for your AI-controlled squad at any moment. You can find additional characters to use for the deathmatches by exploring every nook and cranny of the game; every map has a DNA cannister that unlocks another character for multiplayer.

Buy this game. The entertainment and quality is well worth the money. It's fun, fun, fun.
