...and buy this beast of a game. Get four friends and/or relatives around the tube, and prepare to say "Just one more round..." about 50 times. A classic in the truest sense, SSBM takes the simple premise of fighting games and morphs it into one of the best expiriences on any game system, EVER. Ask anyone who owns a gamecube, and they will probably tell you that they own this game. You should, too. Buy it now.

Greatest Multiplayer Game Ever Made

I bought a gamecube just for this game and I do not regret it at all, i lent it to a friend for a while and whenever i go to his house all we would do is just play that game, definitely worth it, the only game that follows closely in multiplayer is guitar hero and even then its trailing far behind.

This is the best game to date! Infact you can peritty much say that untill the next one comes out.

This game is great for thoughts like me who like me. Guys that like fighting games but think the controlles take to long to get use to but not this game this game has controlles so simple you could put the game on the GBA. When I got the first game I got into it in the first battle. For thoughts who hate solo you can justn play V.S. and unlock almost anything. The only things you cant get in V.S. is some area (inclueding the 3 N64 areas) and ALL the trofies. There is one thing that people dont like (unlike me) it is the fact that there are clones like Mario and Dr.Mario but they have alest 1 thing diffent and that is states

So there is atlest something diffent! But over all I'd say 15/10. This is reccommend for all but it is HIGHLY recommened to

people who are looking for a fingting game with simple controol
people who like nintendo games

There is just 1 thing I dont get. Why is this game rattet T and the first one rattet E!

You have to get this game, it's a must for every single gamecube owner on the planet! It doesn't even get boring after you beat it (which takes a while without cheats so you'll have plenty of gaming time).

This is another game I picked up when I got my gamecube. I've had this game for about 3 months and it's awesome. It does get difficult at times but overall it's one of the best other than Super Mario Sunshine. The 1 player mode is great to unlock all the other chracters,and get trophies. The 2 player mode is really great. When you have 2 or 4 players it's so much better. Me and my friends play the 2 player mode (melee, and the tournements). The best thing I like about it is if you have a really bad day, come home and put this game in. This game is for teens and adults. I don't play this game around my 4 year old nephew because it is violent but it's a great challenge and very fun. I do wish Luigi was in it in the beginning and don't have to wait to unlock him, thats the part I don't like. Get a few friends together and have a Blast!!!!!!!

I love this game. I don't know why I still don't own it. It's awsome, those that don't like it probably don't play multiplayer games that much. I don't like the pokemon characters, but the rest of the games is great. Having a twin brother makes this game perfect for us. You get to choose what weopons will be availavle or not. It is a good introduction to many video game characters. I have rented it, played it at my friends house, and I need to buy it. Good game for those who like to beat people up.

This game is the coolest. If you like adventure, fighting,and the Nintendo origional charactors this is a game fo you. there are more then 20 charactors, many levals, secret charactors, about 6 diffrent modes to play in, and over 40 diffrent items to use from a bat to a rapid fire laser gun. Yoshi, Bowser, Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu and the rest of the gang are examples of some people. it is from 1 to 4 playors and in one mode you can have 64 people battaling.if you like all these things then I suggest you should get Super Smash Bros. Melee for Nintendo Gamecube.

Smash bros is a good set of games, and even with the upcoming release of the newer version this is still a very good use of your time. You can get up to 25 characters to play with. Multiplayer is where this game is at though, you can play with up to 3 friends.

Super Smash Brothers: Consistent Fun

Smash Brothers, as a title/series (original for N64, Melee for Gamecube, and Brawl for Wii) is consistently enjoyable and fun. Great for parties/playing with friends or playing by yourself.

I've played all of our GameCube games with my kids at one time or another, but this one just escapes me. I don't really see a point to it other than pushing, hitting, shocking, and kicking the other player in the game, which usually raises their ire and they end up pushing, hitting, and kicking each other outside of the game too.

I prefer games like The Incredibles and the Star Wars Lego game that has the two players cooperating in the game instead of competing with each other. I don't mind competition, but this is just like a kid's version of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, I think.

If I would have known before hand what this game was like, I would not have purchased it.
