if u were thinking of buying this game, please do. this game has about 12 secret characters. Its not like the old one where u just have to beat the game to get secret characters, u have to beat the game eith certian characters. EXAMPLE: if u beat the game with mario u will get luigi, beat it with link, get ganondorf....and so on. get this game if u want the full thrust of the nintendo GAMECUBE.

This looks like a very cool game. I have played a Super Smash Brothers and this has more characters and I believe this will be cool!

welcome to a revolution of gaming technology, this is the best game ever, i got the first one last year for n64 and i couldn't put it down hope its the same for this one

Mario, Luigi and the gang are duking it out again. You pick from a slew of Nintendo favorites including Link, Bowser and even pokemon! Duke it out with 1,2,3 4!! players all at once. A great game for all ages, for more info check out GCAdvanced.com

I thought that there was no game out there better than Super Smash Bros, but then I played THIS game at the at one of cube clubs, and all I can say is WOW! The graphics were incredible, the game play was intense, there's a ton of new things to do, and once you've played it, you'll want to throw Smash Bros. for 64 in the garbage. The Items are really cool to! For example, if you throw a Poke-ball, a 3D pokemon comes out moves around and attacks. (and it's not like 64 where it's a flat pokemon that just changes position) Their facial expression changes, they move around, and let your opponent have it! And If you think that the laser gun was a cheap item, wait until you see the laser machine gun in action! Your opponent won't have a chance! Nintendo Did an excellent job on this game. The characters all have individual fingers and you can even see the ruffles in Mario's overalls! It's amazing! You will be spellbound by this game so I encourage you to buy it if you haven't already!!!!

This is a must buy for previous SSB fans

I actually played Melee at a Nintendo Cube Club, and it was very good. Everything has been improved, from the graphics, movement, the music, and more. If you liked SSB for 64 at all, this is a definate buy for GameCube. There are 20 characters to choose from, 2 of which are still unknown. There are many more stages compared to SSB on 64, and all of them have been improved.

All I can say is, if you don't buy this game for GameCube, you're missing out on something great!

Super Smash Bros. Melee is a sequal of Smash Bros. from the nintendo 64. This NEW game now has more effects, better music(played by a real orchestra), and a whole new set of characters, items,battling locations,one player mode, and also has some familiar faces from the original! The characters that I know of so far that are in this great multiplayer game are: Link, Sheik, Peach, Bowser, Gannondorf, Luigi, Mario, Pikachu, Kirby, Captain Falcon, Ness, Samus, Yoshi, D.K., Fox, Ice Climbers, and there are more to come!! This game is going to be the best game for Nintedo Gamecube.

IMPORTANT ADVICE: whoever has a gamecube, must buy this game. Even Ganondorf will be in it, a great improvement is the single player. Like for example: in links castle, you go through a maze before getting to fight him

there's also a batting tournament its awesoe
